Was referred to this site when the one I wanted to book was full. Located about 10 minutes drive north east of Alnwick. Easily found, about 2 miles from the A1.
It's the first time I have used a certificated site so wasn't too sure what to expect. Friendly welcome as the owners were along the lane moving sheep when I arrived. She informed me there were only 2 units booked for that night and to choose my pitch.
The site is level at the top and slopes away about half way down. Hook ups are located on the north side of the field against the hedge. Stunning open views south and west. Site bordered on one side by a row of cottages, one of which is available to let. There are two sheds on the site, one is an information hut with contact details for the owners, maps, details of walks, a box of games etc. The other shed is the (one)toilet and chemical waste point and water point. Toilet shed was kept immaculately clean with toilet rolls, hand towel and hand wash provided. Shower is located half a mile away at the farm, although I didn't investigate this time. Also more cottages to let next to the farm. When the owner came around again she told me they had plans to build a small shower block next to the site.
If you are happy with a basic quiet site then this is the one for you. Loads of wildlife (saw a deer on the road); no specific play area for kids but the ones there had loads of space to play as it was so quiet, not sure how much room to play if it was at capacity; close to Alnwick Castle and Garden and the beautiful Northumberland coast. Charges are per unit per night so reasonable at £12. Facilities are basic but spotless so score well.
Only downside was the dogs at one of the properties nearby which did bark a fair bit on the Saturday night, fortunately it didn't set my dogs off but I can imagine it could others.
Already plan to return in a few weeks.
