This was a great find as we were looking for somewhere to stay for a family wedding, which was close by. Although the listing on UK Campsite says it's a Camping and Caravan Club CS I don’t think this is the case now.
The site has 5 pitches with electricity and 2 without. All pitches are grass and they have a very slight slope. You choose your on pitch on arrival from what is available. The site also has 3 pre-erected bell tents and a number of luxury pods for hire.
There are three big shower rooms with a toilet and a sink and these appear to be quite a recent addition. There is an information point and a large field for games.
There is no wifi but the mobile and televsion signals are very good. We liked the site so much that we are already looking to book our next stay.
It is close enough for visits to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Beadnell and Seahouses.

What a lovely site. Situated in beautiful countryside not far from the sea amongst rolling green pastures and total tranquillity.
The facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained and well thought out.
Plenty of great places to visit very nearly. We have stayed in hundreds of sites over the years and this is one of the best.
All we ever need are the basic facilities for washing and some useful local info and it was all provided here.
Lovely owner too who facilitated a slight change in our plans. Thank you. We hope to return soon.

Fantastic little site! We came as a family of 4 and had the best time at this little gem of a site.
They are currently in the process of building a brand new toilet block with three bathrooms so we will definitely be back once they are allowed to open.
There is plenty of space for the children to run around and some great walks around the farm for the dogs.
Owners are really lovely and we can't wait to return, so pleased we found them!

Lovely site but spoilt by toilet facilities and chemical waste disposal Point was a disgrace.
Recycling bins were full and bottles just left piled up. Also there were more than 5 Caravans on site when we arrived until after the weekend. Never seen the owner. Very disappointed would not return pity because the site is so easy to get to any good for touring the area.

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely little site. Unisex facilities, 2 loos and 2 washbasins with a separate shower. Good location for Alnwick, Amble, Craster, Seahouses ( for trips to the Farne Islands) and Bamburgh. Although we didn't see the owners it wasn't a problem as all information on where to pitch and how to pay (money or cheque placed in envelope with your name on and posted in locked black box) was given over the phone. Would stay here again if we ever revisit the area, which I'm sure we will.

I used this site with two boys aged 6 and 10. The field has quite a slope at one end but it was quiet and we had a spot at the top of the hill. The site is well kept, the toilets and showers clean although small with shared male/female facilities and the site overall was quiet and friendly. It is an excellent location for Visiting local areas such as holy island, Alnwick, bamburgh and sea houses. The farm a half mile along the road has a small room with table tennis and pool which is useful if it gets wet. There was also a second field which was empty and the kids all played in. I didn't see any staff on site and there is a facility in the information hut to leave payment, it's a very trusting arrangement and when I did see people at the farm they were very friendly.

Review: Just been to this lovely little site for the weekend. It is fabulous so well kept facilities are basic 1 shower and 2 toilets but are very clean and adequate for the size of the site. The location is superb with lovely views and there are great walks which go on for miles around the farm and area. There is an information shed with leaflets of places to visit and also giving local information. It was a very quiet and relaxing site and we will definitely return soon as it is only an hour from home.

Simply put, this is one of the nicest sites we have every stayed at!
We had a glorious week here, it is immaculately kept by the owners who happen to be very welcoming and unobtrusive at the same time.
The facilities may not be the newest in the world but they are superbly clean and perfectly adequate for your needs, the owner cuts the grass regularly and even provides a picnic bench for you to dine alfresco.
The site is superbly located within easy access of both the A1 and the fabulous Northumberland coastline: Seahouse, Newton-On-The-Sea, Lindesfarne and Dunstanburgh (to name but a few) are close by yet leave this site in idyllic peace & quiet.
One last thing: the sunsets are to-die-for!

This is a lovely quiet site, 2 miles from the A1, it's in a very rural location with a couple of cottages adjoining the site and the nearest building beyond that is the owners farm about half a mile away. There's barely any traffic noise as it's on a tiny lane with just an occasional car, and there is a dense hedge between the site and the lane. On other sides you can see fields for a long way. On entering the site the first field is just for caravans and motorhomes, there are just 5 or 6 pitches all with electric hook up all down one side of the field which is rather nice because if you're in a caravan you look out and just see the fields in front of you, not other vans. Pitches have plenty of space, there's a picnic table and there was a portable barbecue for anyone's use.
Passing through that field is a gate to a second field which is for tents, when we got there it was empty which was great because we played with our dog there but when the weekend came (and the summer holidays started) four or five tents arrived. It's a large field and they were all on the far side so we weren't really aware of their presence with regard noise etc.
They have now built a shower/toilet block on the site. It's quite basic, a wooden hut with one shower, two toilets and washbasins. But it's clean with toilet paper, soap, hand towel etc. There were times when people had to wait for the shower to be free even though the camping field was nearly empty. I believe there are more showers at the farm half a mile away but we didn't go there.
There was also an information hut on the site full of all the usual leaflets, maps etc, and an honesty box to leave your payment.
A good site for dogs, with footpaths off the lane just beyond the site.
Overall a lovely 'feel good' site in a beautiful quiet location. Every day of site seeing we looked forward to getting back to the site to relax, and despite intending to eat out some evenings we always preferred to stay on site and have a barbecue. That's a sign of a good site.

Lovely easy to find site. Small, but cosy; be aware when you enter the site; opposite you is for tents and behind you is for caravans with the EHU. There was a caravan pitched opposite to the right as we entered the site which made it a little awkward for us to turn in (it is quite narrow) and we had to reverse some to get round; there is a sign on the fence as you drive in, but it does not get your attention at first glance. This site has a nice feel to it; relaxed and friendly.
The site is relatively level, although has a slight slope towards the end. We found some pitchers to seem to take a lot of space which set the units closer than you would expect as there are no set out pitch markings. There is a toilet shed and info hut on site with some useful info, you also leave your payment in a safe box in envelopes provided here; we never saw any wardens during our stay, but we were only here for 2 nights.
It was great for our dogs with a lovely walk or several nearby; walking routes are mapped, but we didn't find them very clear and stumbled onto the route we walked (there were arrow signs on the route once we found it) Our dogs were able to run freely on the walk and had use of the large field on site to run in. Everyone pitched was friendly and maintained a clean tidy site.
It is a very dark site at night so I would highly recommend a torch; you won't be visiting the loo at night otherwise! Yes a road does run along one side of the site and for a country road is quite busy, but this side is well protected with a very dense hedge; we felt out dogs (or children for that matter) were completely safe.
The showers and games room are off site (approx 3/4 of a mile)but having the facilities in our caravan and only staying a short time, we didn't visit them so can't comment further. The countryside sounds at night were quite soothing and relaxing too, not great views from the site, but some lovely hill tops and sky lines.
I would recommend and visit this site again for a short, relaxing and easy stay. I have marked this for my requirements; peace, quiet and dogs.
