Lovely sheltered spot.
Could do with an easier Elsan toilet dump point as very heavy lid to lift off. Shame no recycling point but good rubbish bins.
Tidy site and good pitches.

We booked this as a stopover on route from West to East coasts.
Very pleasantly surprised on arrival - a beautiful large grass area with approx 10 hard-standing pitches, all with ehu. To the front of the site is the boat parking area and the most beautiful views down the loch.
Loos and showers are over by the boat area, two loos and a shower each for ladies and gents. The actual facilities very clean - the cobwebs building a bit around the windows etc but its a rural type site. There is a also a disabled toilet and a chemical disposal. The fresh water tap is outside the facilities.
The gent who runs the site very friendly and helpful. Told us about a walk along the former railway line on the hill above the site. We walked for miles without seeing a soul - its a little boggy in places but easy going as a former railway and goes on for about 7 miles in total.
The village of St. Fillans at the far end of the loch is worth a stop, a couple of shops and cafes and a small beach type area looking back up the loch.
No wifi on site, and also no children's play area. The grass area is enormous and the children staying whilst we were there had acres of space to run around and not bother anyone else. The grass had been freshly cut but no collected, so as it was damp we did walk cuttings in every time we went out.
It seems a very popular area with fishermen and we could see why. Others were staying as a base for touring the area - very central and close to the fabulous Killin - Callender cycle way.
We paid £17 for 2 adults with ehu and including showers. Would use again without hesitation.

Another very relaxing visit to Drummond fish farm.
The owner as always was very helpfully and welcoming. Toilets spotless and site immaculate. Will definitely return again. A great base for exploring Perthshire and beyond. The views are stunning and the site very quiet which is just what we like. Keep up the good work Alex and team

Just returned from a pleasant stay at this site, chosen for its close proximity to Loch Earn with its good reputation for trout fishing. Alas, the trout fishing drew a blank but the stay was pleasant anyway.
This is quite a large site with plenty of grassy space for children to play on while the adults enjoy a glass of something and admire the lovely views all around. There is no children's play equipment - just the grass and any amount of shore stones to throw in the water
There is a little cabin with ladies', gents' and disabled facilities. Quality electric showers. The black and grey emptying points as well as the single potable water point are located next to this cabin. The cabin itself can be a fair walk from your pitch if you have any mobility issues.
Everything in the facilities block was clean and tidy. The toilets drain to a septic tank and there is the usual instruction not to put unsuitable objects down the loo but instead to put them in the bin provided. There is a bin provided in the ladies' but not in the gents'.
Unfortunately, the only other bin for general waste provided in the whole site is located next to the warden's hut and shop at the lochside. This is completely inadequate for 5 units. At one point in my stay I found the bin full and I was one of only two units there. This same bin also caters for the detritus from the many fishermen using the loch and keeping their boats there. This facility really needs improved.
The site is very handily located just about a mile from Lochearnhead which itself has very little in the way of amenities, although it is picturesque, as is St. Fillan's at the other end of the loch. The nearest town with any significant offerings in the way of shops is Comrie, about 8 miles away.
The warden here is a busy and a helpful chap and is on site all day - issuing fishing permits, arranging boats, administering the CL, cutting the grass, etc. He is also a water bailiff and is good for advice on the fishing. He goes off home at about six and ties up the entrance gate, so anyone arriving late back from a day out would have to untie and retie the gate rope. Not a big deal!
Altogether, a very pleasant site and well worth a visit - especially when they get a few more bins in place.
