Had a lovely stay using one of the three pods they have. Nice and comfortable they are too. Walked around Carsington Water.
Visited Buxton, Belper, Matlock and Bakewell. All within a half hour drive away.
Love this site. Owners Sara and Peter extremely helpful.
Facilities at the site are exceptionally clean as was the site.
I will be back again.

Very good stay, helpful and friendly family, clean and tidy site, with some good facilities with showers and toilets.
Minor road noise and very useful for touring around good local pub with very nice meals.
With the way things have gone they have had to put in electricity meters on each pitch which is a shame, but I think that this is the way-things going now unfortunately.
More than happy to return.

Had a lovely stay here. The owners are so helpful and very friendly. The facilities are good and kept very clean.
The site is open and the nearby wind turbines about 4 miles away are a bit of a giveaway that it can be breezy at times (they are not very visible so certainly don't make an eyesore) Nearby is Carsington Water - I nearly cycled there but ran out of time. Worth a cycle around.
The site is about midway between Belper and Ashbourne - both pleasant towns and good shopping - Sainsbury's, Aldi and Morrisons and at Ashbourne there starts the Tissington trail for a cycle on an old railway line so gentle gradients.
Went to nearby pub The Black Horse and had a good meal. It's about a quarter of a mile away but on a fast road so be careful if you walk there.
There is a small convenience store in the local pub half a mile away.
All in all, a good site in a good place with a good outlook over the local countryside.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Poplars Farm, loved this camp site!
Very peaceful and well set out,
Facilities very clean and wonderful owners.
Pub within walking distance and plenty of places to visit in the area in under half an hour.
Can highly recommend.

Had a great stay, owners very friendly and helpful.
Dog walking great.
Our only preference would have been separate facilities for gents and ladies.
We will be back soon.

This is a fantastic site for the few, and just relaxing.
Very friendly and helpful couple with the booking and greeting, although the site is basic, two loos are one shower, if the shower is occupied a external red light comes on to tell you, and there is only five pitches, we didn't have to queue once.
But a great base to explore the local area (Ashbourne only 10mins by car, Ecclesbourne railway, Carrsington water) should you wish to leave the site/ drag yourself away from the view.
Just watch yourself when leaving, edging out onto a fast road with the high hedges, Very good value for money. Cheers.

Very nice location and hosts, beautiful outlook over the countryside.
Facilities simple but adequate with good flat hardstanding and grassed areas between units.
Pub a short walk away with nice ales. And decent meals. Will visit again if we are in the area,
Thanks to Sara for a being very helpful with all the communications!

What a superb site. It is very well designed with pitches spaced out like fingers on a hand so that everyone gets a view, and superb views at that.
Shower and toilets very clean and well looked after. One great idea was that when the shower is engaged, there is a red light that comes on outside the facilities block, and it can be seen from most of the pitches.
Owners very friendly and helpful. Walking from the site is amazing, but avoid the main road if you can as it is very busy. 2 pubs within easy walking distance, and a huge dog walk on the site.
Would love to return, but would probably avoid winter, as it can be quite windy. Still, that's the price to pay for the magnificent views.
Great site and run very well. Reasonably priced and good value.
