Lovely hosts, fab location and facilities above and beyond the standards for the new Corona Virus update!
Everyone kept to the rules and the plots were fabulously maintained!

We liked the view, the area and the prices very much.
The parking field for beach visitors nearer Bigbury beach was also conveniently owned by the campsite, and consequently saved us 25% of our daily camping fee on parking.
The (limited) facilities were a long way away as we camped on the small flat area at the top of the hill.
Didnt bother us too much though.

A friendly & laid back economical site with outstanding views of the sea. Make sure you have binoculars to spy on the passing ships and vessels. Exposed to the elements - but what a wonderful place. Coffee and pastry wagon opens 0800-1000.
Basic but adequate toilet & bathrooms. Large area but you need to hunt for the more level spots. Only a few hook ups all on a slope so book if needed.
A choice of half mile paths lead to the beaches but a good (?) uphill trek to return. No local shops apart from beach cafes. About 2 miles to nearest grocery. So come fully stored.
Highly recommended for those not seeking a glitzy totally serviced up market & expensive facility

Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved this site. I was recommended to this site by my good friend (Bex) and finally we arrived. Absolutely wonderful! This will now be our 'Home From Home'.
Everyone on this site were such wonderful people and could not do enough to help. We were even lent a Ford F150 Pickup by a fellow camper so that we could take our canoe down the 1/2 mile to the sea we were in our element!
We felt like super heroes and obviously took loads of photos. Lols. Pretending it was ours;) The owners are absolutely wonderful. They drive over to check that all is well. We were sad as we had to leave a day early for an appointment the following day.
We will definitely be back x

Slightly sloping site where electric hook ups are, varies from level to very sloping on camping field, Views are amazing and lack of any other campsite close to Bigbury on sea is why the facilities can be so rubbish and dear for what you get.
Would come back again. £1 coin needed for shower which lasts 7 min. Beach is lovely and Burgh Island is well worth a visit.

This site sits on the hill looking down onto bigbury on sea and burgh island. 'Site' is probably to grand a word as its really just a sprawl of exposed farm fields with a small and very basic toilet and shower facility in one field.
It was very quiet when we were there but I suspect the toilets and showers would struggle to cope at busier times, there are some electric hookups.
Having said that we had great fun exploring the area and chatting to fellow campers.

We spent a few days here over the bank holiday weekend. We avoid sites with all the facilities on site so this fitted the bill even if it was on the spartan side.
The location is great over looking the sea and the whole ethos here is very relaxed. We bought veg from the local honesty box to supplement dinner and spent the days exploring the local footpaths.
The site is not the flattest, the toilets and showers are not the best but for the price we paid we expected nothing more. In 10 years time this site will probably be landscaped and terraced with loads of facilities but it will not be better for it. Less is more!

Just returned from a single (Saturday) night stay at Mount Folly.
Great location, easy walk to the beach. We took about 20 minutes dawdling with our 6 year old.
Traditional basic farm camping. Cheap with basic facilities. Several cold water taps available in the camping fields. Toilet and shower facilities in portcabins but clean, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Showers were £1 for 7 minutes. No washing up facilities though to bring a big bowl and be prepared to heat up your own water.
Friendly farmer who will call around at some point and collect the fees.
