A beautiful well-kept site in every respect, and much more than is usually found on a CS. A splendid view of the Usk Valley from our pitch, and the owners took great care to ensure that we were comfortable. Will certainly return next time we are in the area.

Stayed here for one night when starting a tour of Wales. We called last minute when on the Severn Bridge and were told they could fit us in on the last pitch available.
The site was easy to find from the motorway and it was good to turn up to a very friendly welcome and to be shown all the facilities and given some local information. Having access to the surrounding fields for dog walking was very handy, the facilities (two shower/toilet rooms) were clean and tidy and there was a large dish washing/kitchen area and information point. For a certified site, I thought these were very good. Being adult only also made it nice and peaceful.
We wouldn't hesitate in stopping here again, perhaps for a weekend so we could explore the local area more.

What a great place! The people are so friendly. Lovely views and surroundings.
Really handy for the town of Caerleon and for Celtic Manor resort so if you're playing golf there this is the place to stay.

What a gem of a site. We stayed for 2 nights and were sorry to leave. Good, clean facilities with lots of extra touches, such as a microwave, washing line and a heater in the shower. The owner has mown walks around the site into the surrounding fields that link to public pathways. The views over the River Usk are fabulous. The site is high up and can be a bit exposed. The weather was not kind when we visited being wet and windy but we sat outside in the lee of our van and were fine. There are lots newly planted trees to help combat the wind in future. There was occasional noise from road below but it's not a problem. We didn't do as much as we had planned due to the bad weather but there is plenty of walking, and visits to Caerleon and it's Roman heritage. Plenty of places to eat in the town. We will definitely return. Thank you to the owners for the care they have taken with this site.

This is a lovely little site hidden away overlooking the River Usk valley. It is about 1 mile outside the little town of Caerleon.
The site is very clean and tidy. It is an adult only site and should be a hideaway site due to its secluded location. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The two toilet/shower rooms are clean and well kept. Campers are allowed to bring 2 dogs and there is a walk across the fields which dogs could use. There are electric hook ups and the water supply, and grey water and elsan dump are very convenient due to the small nature of the site.
Caerleon is a Roman town which was one of only three towns in the UK to house a legion. There is an amphitheatre and Roman bath house, and also a museum displaying the Roman finds and the history of the town. There is a sculture garden and an arty side street.
This is a site I intend to return to

Trevor the owner was very friendly and helpful on arrival. Showing us the site and supplying an extra long hook up lead. The site is situated at the top of hill, which is very exposed giving a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Their are lot's of nice little touches to the site. In the washroom area is a desk with local information attractions. Also nick knacks for items you may have forgotten. You can wash up in the sink after you have boiled the kettle. As we attended in March it was still quite cold and the heater in one toilet/bathroom blew only cold air and in the other only stayed on for about 30 seconds. The PIR security lights did not work and their are no other lights, so take a torch. The site is marked has pet friendly, but you are limited to TWO dogs ONLY. Previous reviews mention they went with children, but this is a adult site only.

We recently visited this site and booked two pitches as we were staying with my in-laws. The pitches are large and even though we both have twin-axle caravans there was adequate space for us. The owners are super and always available for chat. Very helpful and as we had family come over for dinner one evening they even offered us the use of the summer house, which was next to one of our caravans. This was a perfect place to set the tables for dinner and meant we were sheltered until quite late in the evening. The views are stunning and it is so peaceful and quiet. Within walking distance of Caerleon town, we didn't walk but will next time. The only down side is that I am terrified of spiders and the one large bathroom had 2 large ones on the shower rug / mat. Maybe the owners allow them to stay. I was terrified and would struggle to go into the toilet again, but we have a toilet in the caravan and I always use our own shower anyway. This is all that put me off and we will return due to having our own toilet / shower.

A lovely site that we will definitely return to.
On arrival the site owner couldn't have been more helpful. Offering to help pitch the tent, chatting to the kids and keeping them amused. He had very thoughtfully considered the forecast adverse weather conditions and picked a sheltered spot for the tent, and knowing we had three kids in tow put us right next to one of the two bathrooms with showers on site. Nice touches which makes you feel they really care about your enjoyment of your stay.
Facilities are good for a CL too. Plenty of water taps and hook ups. Two bathrooms with toilet and shower kept in very clean condition. There's a kitchen too with washing machine, washing up facilities and even a toaster that campers can use. There are also a couple of rotary clothes lines.
You can tell there has been a lot of thought put into the facilities here.
Turning right out of the drive can be a little hairy as it is right next to a bend and the locals don't observe the speed limit! That's the only reason I've not given 10 on location, but I can't see how the drive could feasibly be placed elsewhere.
I've given a 10 for child friendliness because the kids were made extremely welcome. Please note though there isn't a playground on site but there is a large field with a hill that they just lived rolling down!
