 I really registered just now purely in order to be able to say thank you! We aren't regular campers at all, but simply needed an affordable place to stay the night so we could attend a special occasion nearby; our pitch at Hatters Farm was just what we wanted - perfectly comfortable and very quiet (well it was a windy night, but that's the only noise we heard :-) ) and there was a nice clean loo and shower-room, well lit at night as you approach it thanks to a movement detector (of course we had a torch for the very short walk across the field; we'd chosen to pitch just a few metres away). When I asked about getting a pub meal locally, we were recommended to try the Shovels just a few minutes drive away - very pleasant and friendly, and with an excellent choice of real ales.
In short - simple and quiet, which was what we were after. Many thanks!
