We visited this site for 7 nights in June. We cant praise this site enough, fantastic position for walking to Newquay, Porth Joke & Holywell and is only a hour away from St Ives & Lands End.
The shop on site is well stocked with good local products (must try the rose cider). If you fancy a cooked breakfast you can order it at the shop as well as pizzas etc for take away which are very reasonably priced.
Toilets and showers are immaculate and cleaned twice a day, free hairdryers and straighteners are also available and freezers for ice packs as well as washing machines (£2. 50), tumble dryers and 2 microwaves.
There is a mix of tents, caravans, motor homes & also some statics that can be rented. Just behind the site is a little fishing pond and the National trust site Cubert Common with great walks to the headlands and to the beaches of Crantock & Porth Joke (Polly Joke beach) where you can sometimes spot seals.
The village of Crantock is a ten minute walk with a little post office and a Londis shop. The village has 2 great pubs both offering lovely food.
Even with rain on most mornings by lunchtime the sun was shining right through into the evening for a bbq.
Lovely site, lovely staff, very reasonably priced and great location will definitely be returning with friends and family in the future.

Best site we have visited. Our 2nd trip. Nice spacious pitches. Spectacular views. Rafters bar on site, a must.
Close to Crantock beach and village. Surfers, generally, walk. Revamped toilet, showers for this year. Well stocked on site shop, with nice takeaway, fresh bread each morning.
Tiered layers seem to give level pitch with good drainage!
Steve will also site your caravan on to the pitch, if you wish. Very nice hosts. Nothing a problem.
About 10 mins by car Newquay, Perranporth etc.
We have really nice family meals in Perranporth at the Green Parrot (kid friendly).

Steve and Sally made us all so welcome. The shop was well stocked, supplying all the foods we needed, for our stay. Newspapers and mags were plentiful.
The take-away offers a wide selection of hot food which is prepared fresh to order. The site is tiered, mostly, and gave us a fairly level pitch for our unit, with electric hook up. Easy access to at least 2 lovely beaches, where our family appreciated board and wind surfing each day.
The shower and toilet block was always good and cleaned, and water points were plentiful. Crantock is an easy walk, with a couple of nice pubs. I didn't make the Rafters bar, though we peeked and it looked great. We would liked to have stayed longer.
Just the perfect location for a family holiday. We shall be back for more.

A very well positioned site, ideal for walking and close to Crantock, ideal for the beaches. We got a warm welcome and were directed to our pitch, the approach roads are a little narrow for larger outfits,
if you have a motorhome there is no provision for waste water and fresh water fill up can be a little awkward although we managed. The shop and bar are great, fresh croissants every morning, newspapers etc. Its not a large site ' just right' we found, our pitch was reasonably flat but many were sloping, the site seems to have its regulars and some vans are stored on site off pitch.
Toilets and showers were all nice and clean, so we found just a few little niggles. There were lots of dogs, no problem with that but I was surprised at how many were off lead and roaming about. You can put your van anywhere on your allotted pitch, we came back one day to find a large caravan pitched no more than 6 ft from the end of our van,
But overall this is a nice site with a relaxed attitude and friendly staff, we would return but perhaps off peak,

Small roads down to the village/campsite so beware, especially if you meet a bus!
Friendly check in on arrival. We were amazed at how 'packed' the site was out of season but were still given a choice of 3 pitches. MOST of the pitches are sloping (and badly so) - OK for caravans but NOT great for motorhomes. We just lived on a slope for 3 nights - LOL! All grass pitches with EHU. Great, well stocked, shop with everything you could possibly need (including dog food!) including daily papers. Open from 8am - 9pm with lovely freshly baked bread and pasties - too nice to resist! They also do takeaway food (small but OK menu) from 5pm - 8:15pm each evening. We had the fish & chips for £4.95. OK portion but thought that the 40 min wait was a bit excessive! There is also a bar (didn't use) that opens from 8pm - 11pm. A TV room and some games rooms complete the set! The central toilet block is plentiful and clean and even offers campers 2 hairdryers and hair straightners! Indoor washing up and and chemical disposal point are within the same area as the toilet block.
No TV signal (freeview) on the lower pitches (not sure about higher up?) but we had our dish so were OK. There's a fishing lake at the bottom of the site which you pass on the walk out to Polly Joke beach (doggie friendly, clean and safe all year round) or onto Cubert Common (National Trust land). From the top of the site you can cross the fields and walk to Crantock beach (again doggie friendly, clean and safe). We caught the little Fern Pit ferry across to West Pentire (runs during high tide) and walked into Newquay (then got the bus into Crantock village back - dogs OK on the bus and FREE!).
There are 2 pubs in Crantock village (both doggie friendly) along with a village store/PO and tea rooms. At Pentire (take a left out of the site and walk along the road) is the Bowgie Inn. No dogs allowed inside but OK in the beer garden and on the raised decking where the views are wonderful. Good food, not cheap though and a choice of local beers and ciders (again not cheap!).
Loved this site but would struggle with the sloping pitches again. Pitches were not on the large size either and we could imagine feeling 'hemmed in' during peak season.

Have actually been visiting this site for 25 years, and have hardly missed a year! Absolutely excellent. The site itself is run by a very friendly and helpful family, and is clean, orderly and well-run, though can get busy in hot weather or school holidays.
The Rafters bar in the old barn is novel and pleasant. The shop is always well-stocked and the staff very pleasant. Static vans are updated every few years and kept in impeccable condition. Service is friendly and swift.
Extensive shower and toilet blocks clean and have extras such as sockets for hairdryers, shavers etc. Never any queues. Washing-up room is large and kept very clean. There's a payphone, but I can usually get mobile reception from somewhere on the site.
The place is ideal for an active holiday, as there are two beaches within walking distance (10 minutes to Crantock Beach, about 20 to Polly Joke), and not bad paths if you're carrying surfboards, picnic stuff etc. Local walks across Cubert Common, or further, to Holywell or Perranporth, around the cliff paths or over the sand dunes and a little ferry across the River Gannel to get to Newquay. Cliff views fabulous.
Three good pubs and a lovely little coffee-shop within walking distance. There are regular bus services from Crantock Village (10 mins. Walk) to Newquay and beyond. Crantock Beach is one of the best surfing bays in Britain, and there's a surf patrol to keep swimmers and boarders safe.
Horse-riding is available in Cubert or Newquay, and of course Newquay is famous for its night-life, though that would be a taxi evening if you wanted it, as I wouldn't recommend walking back over the dunes in the dark!
Wildlife in this area is stunning, and I can't rate this site too highly. It's not cheap, but you certainly gets what you pays for! Extremely good value for money!

Booking at this site is a little hit and miss!
I wanted a particular pitch so phoned the week before. As we were going mid week before 'silly season' they weren't full and it was no problem. 'Do you want a deposit?' 'No it's fine' I was told.
On arrival, the pitch I had supposedly booked was taken! 'Oh yeah, sorry about that! You can have this one instead!' which happened to be over the other side of the site!
Apart from a bad start, this is an excellent site. Ten minutes walk from a cracking beach at Crantock and twenty five minutes down to Polly Joke both of which are dog friendly ALL year.
The on-site shop is well stocked and does fresh bread etc in the morning.
Due to having older kids we were able to sample the delights of the Rafters Bar in a converted barn. This has a wonderful atmosphere and seems quite popular.
The shower block was always clean and tidy and we did not have to wait for showers even though the site was near capacity. The one gripe I do have is the button on the showers that supposedly save water by not letting them run too long, gives you 2 seconds before having to press it again!
In summary, an excellent site with good facilities and very close to 2 fantastic dog friendly beaches. If you want a particular pitch, confirm lots of times!

Just got back from treago farm and thought I would let you know my thoughts.
The area is fantastic you can walk to 3 great beaches from the camp site. The Bowgie pub is a little bit expensive but the portions more than make up for it(i will eat here again).
Right the campsite. My parents used to bring me to this campsite 25 to 30 years ago, we had a large house tent. We had loads of fun on the site and plenty of room to run around. So I thought I would take my kids to treago. I found the facilities to be very good, always clean and working. Good shop and they have a small bar which I can not comment on as we did not go to it. but and this is a big but for me, If you like to be very close to your neighbours then this is the site for you. With the awning up we had 3 feet from the front of the awning to the road. The children did not have anywhere to play other than the road between rows of vans. Not good. Our neighbours were so close we could not hook the van up to the car to get it of the levelling ramps, we had to manhandle it off. There is a area with a vollyball court on it but it was away from the van and we could not keep an eye on the kids as they played. Please don't get me wrong, this is a good campsite but not my cup of tea. I like a bit of space to chill out and watch the kids run around having fun while I fire up the BBQ with a couple of beers.

I can be brief. This is an excellent medium sized site. It is in a wonderful location within walking distance of three of the most beautiful beaches in North Cornwall.
The site is well maintained. The staff are friendly and flexible. The facilities are clean and excellent.
We will definitely be back.
Friends stayed in one of the wooden cabins. They were terrific but that's not camping!
There is a small shop and facilities like pool tables etc.
Great fun can't wait to go back! I like camping to be simple and my kids want facilities. Perfect match!

Stayed here for the first time this weekend. We will definitely return. A fantastic quiet site with lovely clean toilets & showers. The staff were really friendly.
I noticed in the washing up area there was also laundry facilities and an iron and board. There was also a large freezer for you blue freezer blocks.
We walked for 10 - 15 mins and got to to a fantastic beach called Polly Joke.
One of my favourite sites !
