A very nice site which actually has 3 separate areas, front, back and side. We were put at the back, which was a pity, as the front has lovely views over the mountains.
Hard standings, loos and showers included in the price. There is a bin in the farmyard which needed emptying. Good walks around, but the river was not much to look at, lack of rain. There is an interesting drive (for the passenger) up and over the mountains and down to the Wye. Scary for the driver. Unfortunately the craft centre at Erwood station near the river has closed.
You have to go through Builth Wells to get to the site, not so daunting as it appears as there is a one way system.
There is a good Co op on the way into Builth, look out for the traffic lights. Fuel can be found at another smaller Co op, at Llanelwydd, over the bridge to the north of the town,
We would use the site again, but would request a pitch at the front of the site.

This is a truly top site.
Well spaced, fully serviced pitches, decent, hot showers, beautiful views and they even managed good weather.
I loved this place

Lovely, quiet, small site within easy reach of the Royal Welsh Showground and excellent facilities.
Fabulous views from our pitch. Large field in which to walk our dogs.
Spotlessly clean shower block but a waste bin would have been useful.
Would certainly stay again. Thank you.

Such a lovely campsite at such an affordable rate: we were allocated pitch no. 15 which was big, flat and perfect for us, with a nice corner where we could safely place our campfire (blocks provided: bag of wood £5).
David and Elaine were helpful and informative, always with a friendly smile and very happy to give directions for local walks straight from the site, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The facilities were kept very clean, and although there is only one loo and two showers for the ladies (same for the gents, plus a separate disabled loo), we never had to queue.
There's also a washing-up area and a small library of books with an "honesty box", as well as a folder detailing things to do and places to go.
We couldn't have been happier or better looked after. We rarely go to the same place twice, but we hope to make an exception for this beautiful, quiet site, from which you can see a billion stars and hear owls hooting in the night.
Perfect.

Thank you David and Elaine we have had a lovely stay on your beautiful working farm. We were welcomed by David who was very helpful and obliging.
The facilities are clean & tidy and the farm is well kept. There has been lots going on to keep us entertained and it was interesting to see the sheep, sheep dog and quad bike in action.
I enjoyed a relaxing walk across the wooden bridge over the river at the bottom of the field on my stroll down the drovers path to Builth Wells which is a typical Welsh hill town retaining its original character.
There are some quaint little shops so I was pleased to be able to support small businesses including Farmers Welsh Lavender which is about a mile and a half or so up the hill from the farm.
Our grand daughter visited us while we stayed so we have some lovely photos of her (aged 2) and lots of happy memories :)
We hope to visit again as there is lots we would still like to see and do so highly recommend to countryside lovers who like peace & quiet with the opportunity to visit local places of interest along the way.

We have stayed at this site a couple of years ago when visiting Wales. We now live in Carmarthenshire and this was our last stop before home after a long journey over several days from Scotland.
We were allocated a pitch on the board by the barn when we arrived. However the owner and his lovely dog came out to greet us and we were able to pay him.
Just £18 for the night. Good value for a pitch with water and EHU. Grey water disposal in the hedge.
There were recycling facilities, chemical waste disposal point, 1 ladies, 1 gents and 1 disabled toilet. Two showers in each of the ladies and gents. Also a utility area for washing up. All basic but clean if a little cold on the night we were there.
The camping area consists of the usual 5 CL pitches and then several other camping pitches and places for tents. There is also a barn conversion for renting.
We would definitely use this site again if we are passing that way.

Beautiful campsite, the views are stunning and there are good walks from the site including one into Builth Wells which is a really nice little town.
There is a river just a 5 minute walk down one of the fields that is a lovely tranquil spot to sit for a short while. Also a nice river walk in Builth itself.
Campsite owners are welcoming and around and about but not overly fussy or interfering, facilities were good and clean.
We will definitely be returning to this site.

Very organised, when we arrived there was a board with our allocated pitch on it.
There are two areas here the first one is for non-CAMC members and drive on to the pitches which are the CL site.
We were on the CL and had a pitch with a fresh water tap and a drain. The pitch was not very level but fortunately we had levellers. The pitch was hard standing.
The views aare great and so is the wildlife. First morning we heard a lesser spotted woodpecker in the tree adjacent to our motorhome.
We were going to drive and look around Builth Wells but it was so peaceful and a warm day that we walked down to the river instead.
The facilities are good and clean.
Very interesting that the chemical disposal point nearest to us is just a hole in the ground but hey ho it works.
David the owner is very helpful and easily contactable.
We would certainly return.

Absolutely beautiful campsite and amazing views! Idyllic and peaceful.
The owner greeted us as we arrived and was very informative on where things were located and where our pitches were, very friendly gentleman and the whole process from booking to adding a night was smooth and welcoming.
Highly recommend the site and it’s location.
