Great campsite located conveniently for all Snowdon routes, and right opposite a pub which usually does food.
Also a very short drive from Llanbaris.
Campsite has good water, toilet, sink, and shower facilities, recycling bins.
Suitable for camping with normal tents or roof tents.

Was dreading a 'party field, ' but was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of room to pitch, and park our bikes.
Clean toilets and washup, good facilities with stunning mountain views.
No road noise or roudiness. Good welcome in the pub with very good food.
Great base for us to explore Snowdonia by motorcycle,
Would happily return!

Great campsite with basic facilities. I've camped here a few times and for 5 pound per person per night I think it's great. Plus she is fine with my dogs. You have a toilet. Drinking water and if you want a hot shower it will cost a pound. The views alone are worth a fiver.
The site is located close to both llanberis and the pass. If your on foot it's a perfect hiking location. If you need public transport it's close by.
This site is for someone who needs a base. Somewhere to set up there tent and go off for the day. There are plenty of campsites around that offer lots of facilities like launderettes bars etc but this is what I like so much about this site it's basic and cheap.

As previous reviews have said this is a very basic site.
Probably not ideal for a family trip but absolutely perfect for climbers and walkers.
£5 per night per person in a tent. The field is not mowed and the pitches aren't marked so I can imagine on busy weekends this site is a bit packed. There's no toilet paper in the toilets. The showers charge 50p or £1 and seem to last the same amount of time!
The site is in serious need of updating but due to its location I probably would visit again.

Like other reviews have said, this is a very basic campsite. It is cheap, only £5 per person per night. The location is very convenient for walking and climbing. There are two large fields for pitching. The toilet block is in a converted barn. There are two large washrooms, with sink, loo and electric light. There are two further loos with no light and no sink. There are three washing up sinks. No toilet roll, hand driers or hot water. There are 5 showers, two take 50p the others £1. The 50 p ones were fine. All the facilities were clean, but it was a quiet weekend. I would think that if both fields were full then they would struggle. Like most of snowdonia, this site suffers with midges and wild weather. The pub opposite is very convenient, and friendly. The food was average, and pricey, and they struggled with service when busy.

We have been travelling around Wales on our honeymoon, visiting different places and staying in a few different campsites
The location of this site is superb and the view is stunning.
It is a very cheap and basic campsite
The grass was cut short when we went, so pitching up was easy (once you had avoided the stones)
The facilities weren't so great. Not all the toilets had any light into them when closed and the showers took pound coins, and the electrics are far far below par! There was no hot water to wash up in, but there was water none the less
The rubbish is just sort of thrown into one place, a bit odd, but it did the trick
Overall, it is a cheap and basic campsite, with stunning views in a stunning location

We stayed here after discounting the National Trust site a little further down the road because of the midges there.
The site is very quiet and peaceful with a good view of the north side of Snowdon, the price is very reasonable, £5 per person but the site is very basic.
At the time of our stay the grass hadn't been mowed for at least a month and was easily a foot long. And yes, the midges here too were horrendous. So bad we cooked and ate dinner inside the tent and forwent breakfast in favour of an early escape.
Didn't use the showers so can't comment on that but not a single toilet cubicle had toilet roll in.
The 'rubbish and recycling centre' just looked like someone had been fly tipping alongside one of the buildings.
There is a pub very close by, just across the road which is convenient but the opening times are limited.
If you want basic, cheap accommodation just a few steps up from wild camping, this is it.
I prefer something a little more relaxing and probably wouldn't return
