One of the most amazing campsites we have come across in our journey from Land's End to John O'Groats! Sasha and Craig are fantastic hosts, very hospitable (they literally saved us from wild camping when they agreed to take us on for one night, despite of the site being pretty full) and the most friendly. The campsite itself is lovely, it has everything you need (and more!) and once the new shower block is finished it will become even better!
Thank you again Sasha and Craig!

Just spent 3 weeks at this amazing Site. The couple Sasha and Craig are Amazing So helpful nothing too much trouble could not do enough for us
18 Acres of land peaceful and so quiet surrounded by Lochs Rivers and such beautiful scenery. Lairg is 2 miles away with few shops.
I highly recommend this Caravan Site it's a must stay if you are visiting Scotland. Shin Falls and Casserly Falls are a short drive away but the beaches at Dornoch and Durness are not to be missed.
Will go again to stay. Friendly family run Site

My husband and I were given a very warm welcome by the hosts Sasha, Craig and their children. Sasha offered us lots of useful local information including a running route for my husband and the best point of access to Loch Shin for my open water swimming. We loved the peaceful campsite with views to Loch Shin. We were surrounded by countryside and recommend this site for those wanting to get away from it all and back close to nature. For those who love animals there was the added bonus of meeting the newly arrived lambs, ducks, horse, cat and chickens who live on the site. We also enjoyed the BBQ hut and a beer in the sun loungers whilst we watched the sun set. Thew weather was so good we didn't need to use the games room but on a wet day that would have been amazing! Nearby the Pier Cafe at Lairg was excellent and only a short drive to Scourie where we were heading next along the loch with great views. We will definitely come back when next in the area.

Great little campsite, very friendly and helpful owners. Quiet location. Open views. Lots of wildlife. Stayed in static caravan, saved having to unpack tent etc, all clean and tidy, well provided with crockery and pans. Had the place to myself. Several level pitches for tents separated by pond and stream with little bridges. Showers under construction. Small, simple and unpretentious. Recommended.

We found this site through UKCampsite.co.uk and what a lucky find! Sasha and Craig couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The site is new this year and still being developed but it is already lovely so can only get even better! We were given the use of a large static caravan for our leisure and ablutions which was very much appreciated.
Could we find anything to criticise? Certainly not about the site itself, but the wee bitey insects were a nuisance - so anyone with allergies must ensure taking gadgets, lotions and potions to combat them!

Visited this site with our friends both of us having motorhomes in September 2015. We found that the site was not suitable for motorhomes our motorhome being 6meters long our friends being 7 meters. The driveway had overhanging shrubs and trees and both the trees and shrubs we heard scraping along both vans. There are no electric hook ups as such and both vans had electricity from the static caravan on site, not the best arrangement. There are no pitches laid out for motorhomes or caravans both our units were in the driveway and any body who wished to park near to there tents would not have been able to get passed our vans. There was no toilet block other than the toilet in the static caravan. No chemical toilet was seen.
The area is lovely, the owners were friendly but they do need to understand that motorhomes/caravans need more space and more amenities

Found the site by chance browsing the web. It is a beautiful location with easy access to a host of NW and far N delights. The site is basic (a good thing) and shows that lot of care has gone into getting things right. The grass is lovely, the pegging is easy but firm and the location is just windy enough to be very nearly midge-free. Delightful friendly proprietor, and the croft children played happily with my sons for hours on the football pitch! Great place for dogs too. Will definitely return, as there is so much to do in the area.

This is the jewel of Highland campsites, that we have had the pleasure of staying at on numerous occasions. You are made so welcome by the family who run it, they cannot do enough for you to make your stay so memorable, for which once you have been believe me you will be back.
We stayed in the static caravan on site which was very clean and all the amenities of your home, just like a home from home. Clean bedding was provided as requested to cut down on luggage.
To top up with any supplies required Lairg is only a couple of miles down the road. Or if it is a good meal and drink you want I would recommend the Crask Inn, which is not to far away either.
If like my self you have a passion for fly fishing the hill lochs and rivers for wild brown trout, for which are safely returned for my next annual pilgrimage, this is the ideal location.
This is the ideal Central Hub to see all the Northern Highlands hidden jewels, both Eastern, Western, and Northern coasts and with golden beaches are not far away, as well as all the breathtakingly scenery in between.

If you appreciate the tranquility of wide open spaces in wild, remote locations; and if you prefer smaller, unpretentious but clean and well-appointed campsites - Pondside is the place to head for. Curlews calling will greet you at dawn; and as you emerge from your tent, the vast landscape and skies of Sutherland will be there to inspire you. Add to this the unparalleled friendliness, generosity and helpfulness of the husband and wife team running Pondside, and you'll find it difficult to think of a more ideal place to stay.

Arrived sat afternoon for a three night stay. What a fabulous location and such a friendly welcome too. Fabulous idea to use the static caravan as the ablution block and cooking area if you so wished. I enjoyed it so much I actually stayed an extra four nights. What an absolutely delightful family who run the site, always smiling and helpful, a real pleasure to stay here and definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. Can't wait to return. Great base to bag the Northern most munros and corbetts. For a day trip out by car Ullapool and Lochinver within easy reach, also hills in that area too. Just wished I lived closer as I would be able to get here more often.
