Amazing weekend ! The friendliest camp site ever. Thank you to Jude and Dago who were so helpful and did all to ensure we had everything needed.
Lovely setting within a forest area. Farm shop close by and excellent pub within walking distance.
Facilities on site excellent - two showers nice hot water and toilet close by. Wood burners supplied ( not used by us) These did make the site look lovely at night and other campers loved them !
Fordingbridge is close by and well worth a visit. Stunning setting. We had coffee and sat by the river watching the men fishing. Lovely shops too !
My top camp site of this summer.
Thoroughly recommended. We shall be back !

Lovely small friendly campsite. Great location in the New Forest but enclosed so the ponies and cows can be happily admired from behind a fence (unlike some sites in the forest where they roam around the tents looking for food!). Very adequate facilities with hot water, showers and a bath too, great to have the fire pits for everyone to use, really adds to the atmosphere and enjoyment of camping. Owners friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, we will definitely return.

We liked the idea of this campsite due to its small size and village location. The road isn't very busy, but it's right there beside you if you pitch along the adjacent boundary and not far even if you don't. The site is within the New Forest, although for true New Forest walking in the natural landscape you'll need to put on your hiking boots and allow fifteen minutes to get there. The ground is hard and stoney, but persevere, and you will get your tent up eventually.
The site amenities provided would have been fine, but I suppose it's just the luck of the draw if they're spotless, or you get the short straw and go in after someone's bowels have exploded and you can't really leave it if you're camping with others, especially if there are youngsters around. People should clean up after themselves. Another hygeine precaution could include a fit for purpose bin to allow the safe disposal of soiled sanitary products, contaminated used contraceptives, and any sharps.
All things considered, I'd say there were a few problems but a good break all the same, and not disturbed by any other antisocial or inappropriate behaviour on the campsite as it was fairly quiet at the time.

We stayed at Greenfields for Aug bank holiday. This is a great small campsite it has every thing you need. Set in a lovely part of the New Forest.
Its really friendly the owners couldn't do more for you. We were given a wood burner on arriving to keep warm. (amazing were does this happen)
The loo is a bathroom with a role top bath and glass sink. All fitting out in a horse trailer looks great and really clean. Showers are porter showers with a nice temperature and very clean.
Over all I think this is a smashing campsite really chilled ***** stars from me and cant wait to come back next year.
Many thanks for having us xxx

I'm so happy we found this gem of a campsite!
We stayed here for a long weekend at the end of the summer holidays. We have a four year old and there were a few other children staying too which was lovely for my daughter. There's the tyre swing in the corner and the campsite is entirely enclosed with a gate to keep the ponies out, so really safe for them. They all played together!
The facilities are basic and clean and the place is run with love. Jude is lovely and couldn't have done more!
She comes round with fuel for the fire pit in the late afternoon so you can barbecue your meal and then chuck the firewood on.
The site is right on the road so you can see all the donkeys and ponies walk past in the morning and back in the evening, but I agree with the other review about noisy cyclists!
Pub and farm shop within walking distance and lots to visit nearby.
A noise policy would be handy - we were lucky that it was all families when we were there.
Will definitely be going back next year.

The campsite is located in a pleasant area, it is right beside the road, but the site itself is a nice small paddock not much bigger than a spacious garden. The facilities are unusual, well maintained and clean. We were not too worried about noise, but if you like the peace&quiet you might be.
The open forest is quite a way away, and the quickest route we found was along the adjoining gravel track. The first steep left fork at the top of the hill will take you to a massive revegetated gravel pit area, but if you go straight down the hill you will reach a back road, and from there you will find the proper forest where you can walk for miles.
The hike to the open forest takes about 15mins, depending on how fit you are.
If you want the open forest literally on the doorstep, there is a large official campsite called The Red Shoot a couple of miles away, but it is a lot bigger.
I have given a satisfied score of 7/10.
