We visited this campsite for the August bank holiday weekend- 2 families wih kids&dogs! We had a lovely flat pitch on the pretty, quiet, small rural site with amazing views. You need car to access pubs/shops short distance away, and there is plenty to see and do in the area. Popular with walkers as offa's Dyke nearby. Minimal facilities at moment (1 toilet and 1 shower in a portacabin on the site, 1 shower/toilet further down outside the farmhouse), but new shower block underway which should be inplace for the new season. Small well maintained kids playpark. Two small lakes full of wildlife, one is fenced off the other open with beautiful willow trees surrounding. Easy booking, friendly helpful owners. Diolch!

Just spent a weekend at this site. A beautiful site in beautiful location, guaranteed peace and quiet. You can pitch where you want, but electric hook ups are only along one side of the field; but there are plans to extend. Toilet/shower block is only a small temporary cabin at present while the owner awaits delivery of a larger unit, however it is cleaned daily. There's also a shower next to the bed and breakfast on site. Owners were very helpful & friendly and couldn't do enough for us, even loaned us a towel as we'd forgot to pack one! There is a play area, with a couple of swings, a slide & a see-saw; also some football goals in the main field! Really enjoyed our stay. Would certainly stay here again.

If you are looking for a very quiet campsite set in a gorgeous countryside setting then this is the one for you, there is a lovely lake in the middle of the field and we saw many species of birds as well as farm animals in the extensive fields just beyond the hedge. The site is about 4 miles from Monmouth which has a good selection of pubs, shops and supermarkets but you will need transport if you stay here in a motorhome as there isn't really anywhere within walking distance to get supplies. The site has only been open a few months and currently there is only one shower and one wc set in a self contained portable unit which is certainly adequate but not if the site was full and the electricity supply did seem to be a bit temperamental when we stayed. However, I would definitely recommend this site for its location and views as well as the friendly welcome of the owner.

Stayed at this lovely quiet site, over the half term period. We were pitched overlooking a big pond & plenty of countryside. There is a play area, comprising of a couple of swings, a slide & a see-saw. Owners were very helpful & friendly. There is a toilet & shower, along with re-cycling facilities & chemical waste disposal. Would certainly stay here again.

Amazing peaceful location with all the facilities needed for a great week with the kids. Ron Baker was a perfect host and his wife Pam who cooked some great breakfasts throughout the week for our family. We went on some fantastic walks and relaxed by the surrounding lakes whilst the kids played on the swings and slide.
We will be back.
Thanks for feeling like part of the family :)

This campsite is an absolute treasure. Discreet and tranquil settings- a must to see! The owners are extremely courteous and hospitable, we felt really welcomed! We stayed an extra two days because of the excellent standard of service. It is situated right next door to Offas dike, so there are some lovely walking trails about. The site has some wonderful fishing lakes and river. Truly a remarkable site.
