Very quiet site. Nice and relaxed and away from the rat race. Toilets very good. And the washing up facilities where very good as well.
Showers lovely and hot. In a little dip to avoid the wind, which is a nice touch from mother nature.
Little shop on site that sells food. Very nice. Fridge on site that produces ice. Perfect for the Gin.
Didn't manage to find a TV signal. But not a problem.
No local shops near. If you want peace and quiet. Its here.
A bit dearer than some sites. But still worth it.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at Hendre. Pam and her husband couldn't do enough to help us. Great couple. This site is small but very friendly, set in the countryside with stunning views. It's extremely quiet with the odd owl during the night. The site itself is well maintained and great if you have children who like to play. We have a 12 year old who loved it. There is a very pretty pond which makes pleasant viewing on an evening. Fire pits and picnic benches are free to those that want them. Close to Monmouth and the Forest of Dean. Will definitely be returning. Can't praise it enough, Brilliant site

Beautiful, quiet campsite. Everything clean, loads of hot water in the showers and washing up area. Really friendly owners who have made a fantastic campsite. Offers dyke footpath runs by the site and there is a beautiful walk into Monmouth. Had a lovely time here.

Absolutely love this quiet peaceful campsite set in the countryside with lovely views and fabulous wildlife.
2 toilets, two showers, two big washing up sinks, and a fridge and kettle. Just right for the size of the site.
Lovely friendly owners that couldn't do enough for us, even let us leave our trailer with them for the day so we could pick it up later.
We will definitely be returning very soon! Thank you!

Happened upon this beautiful campsite when touring. Immaculately kept toilet/shower/kitchen block. Lawn like pitches, electric hookup if required. Friendly owner, fantastic westward aspect with incredible views.
Best price I've come across recently - £5 per person per night!
Very highly recommended, especially if you like to get away from it all.

We stayed here for the August Bank Holiday Weekend - 2 families with 5 children between us. The campsite was beautifully kept, not overcrowded, and set in lovely quiet countryside loads of wildlife sights and sounds, and uninterrupted views of the stars on clear nights. Monmouth is only 15 minutes away by car and we used a very nice Indian takeaway there one evening, Plenty of shops etc also in Monmouth. There is a small playground on-site for children which was very well used during our visit. There is a new toilet /shower /washing-up facility with a fridge in addition to to other shower/ toilet facilities which is adequate for a site of this size. The owners are very friendly too - I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a quiet family friendly weekend in the countryside.

Good, relaxed campsite. Perfect for touring around the area.
The facilities were all under 1 roof. Toilet, shower, sinks etc were all clean.
It was very quiet so no queuing to use the facilities. Could do with another shower and toilet for busy times.
The owner was lovely and very helpful.
You can have a cooked breakfast in their b&b if you book it.
Nearest shops, pubs etc are in Monmouth.
They had a small play area with swings etc on and a some goal posts on the field for children to use.
We will definitely return to this site.

I picked this site for a two night stay while visiting the area for a family birthday, and couldn't believe what a find it was!
Lovely site, perfectly kept, very friendly welcome from the owner who seemed genuinely interested in all his guests.
A relaxed site, where there aren't pages of rules to observe.
Other reviews mentioned the toilet/shower facilities, well there is a newly built toilet and shower block, with excellent dish washing facilities, hot water and a fridge unit. There are electrical points in the block too.
Although not many toilets and showers, this isnt a large site, so probably not a problem.
Large firepits and picnic tables are also available at no extra costs.
There is electric hook available, costs seemed very good value, including no charge for showers.
Overall we were very pleased with this little site, and will definitely go again for a relaxing time.
