Good location, Chester P & R 10 minutes away. Well stocked shop, interesting and varied antiques / collectables emporium.
Pleasant lake with decking and chairs to enjoy the sun. Three perfectly adequate combined toilet / shower facilities with good hot shower.
On the down side; Dirty rubbish bins overflowing as you walked to the shower. Dish washing facility - sink blocked / overflowing / filthy dirty, did not appear to have been cleaned in weeks. Waste water point - appeared to be blocked and smelt.
A coat of fence paint would have made all the difference. At £20 per night I would have expected better. I doubt we will return.

Campsite situated south of Chester on A41 so easy to access. Pitches very flat and well spaced out.
Toilet and shower block clean and simple but adequate. Quiet and relaxing campsite. Good value for money.
Would return.

Really nice small camping and caravan site in a good location close to Chester and North Wales.
Good facilities - small toilet block and hot showers. We also really enjoyed sitting by the lake of an evening.
Did have a bit of road noise at night due to location just off an A road but we wore ear plugs and this was fine.

We have had a magic 3 days at Golborne my husband had 2 sessions of fishing and he was over the moon with the whole set up and the quantity and quality of the fish he caught " fisherman`s Dream "
The site is well organised, tidy and clean
We visited Chester, and spent time relaxing
The Steward Charlie and Bob are so welcoming and genuinely friendly
I wish them well in their new venture
The cost for a service pitch was very good value for money

Cracking little CC site in a quiet location just outside the city of Chester.
The managers of the site are a delight to deal with. Lovely couple that always amenable. As its a CC site there are only 5 pitches.
Views are stunning. Men and women's separate toilet and shower facilities. Clean but a tad dated, but this isn't a problem.
Well worth a visit.

All good here. Site is quite private with great views and easy access from A41.
Café and shop give a discount to site patrons and food is good with a well stocked shop.
We are winter visitors and have had hard frosts each morning but at £15 per night for CCC members it offers great value.
Tickets and showers are in need of a little TLC but functional and spacious.

A great CS behind Applegates Farm Shop, Cafe and a couple of other businesses.
We were on a almost level gravel hardstanding that had a view over the grass area to open countryside, the horses in the adjacent field adding to the rural impression. Power and water on post at the pitch.
Farm shop full of nice food and a reasonable selection of essentials for top up or emergencies, cafe offering was good.
Just one male and one female shower with an extra unisex toilet but plenty of hot water! Great value site out of season but not a great deal within walking distance to tempt you off site.

Booked for 3 nights mid August. Access to pitch was very easy, level and plenty of room to manoeuvre. Each pitch had its own tap and power point. Well stocked shop.
Single occupancy shower/WC clean, plenty of hot water, shower good. I booked to do some fishing but despite being told that there were carp to 15lb never saw any movement to support this.
Fished over 2 days, plagued by small silvers which is not what I was after. Pool very over grown with lily pads and encroaching bank vegitation, needs a good spell of maintenance. Quite a bit of road noise from the A41.
So overall pros and cons however there was one major con. There was dog mess on the edge of the grass opposite the caravans which the children were using as their play area.
It appeared at a time when nobody staying on caravan pitches had a dog???
Very unpleasant and avoidable if the person exercising their dog was more diligent. Not going to return.

Basic 5 pitch site, hard standing pitches and grass area well kept.
Basic facilities one toilet and shower for each male and female and a single unisex toilet.
Facilities could of done with a little bit more heating especially in January when all 5 pitches were occupied!
Overall decent value for money!

Stayed here as a one night stopover. Really nice site. You pull in from the A41 and have a farm shop with café. On the other side is the campsite which comprises of 5 hard standing pitches, each with electric and water point. There is a small grass area for tents and free wifi that works!
Facilities are two shower/toilet rooms, one for gents, one for ladies and an additional unisex toilet.
There is a village about 2 miles away, turn right out of site, follow the footpath by the road for a few minutes, then turn left onto country lane and keep walking. Couple of pubs, spar shop, post office, Indian restaurant/takeaway and a couple of other places to eat. Paid £15, would certainly return.
