Do and Steve could not have been more friendly and helpful, great pitch size fully serviced well worth the money,

Will definitely be returning for another stay.

Although the play area has not been done yet there is plenty of room for the kids to play away from the caravans.

Peaceful and quiet and only a stones throw from Ingermells.

As other reviews have stated a pleasant quiet site hidden away in Addelthorpe. The facilities are just one male, one female toilet and one shared shower, this is not such a problem when only the seasonals are on site, but on the odd busy periods, ie. Bank holiday weekends, this itself becomes overcrowded, to the point that if any of the gents are having a shave at the sink you cannot wash your hands. These are kept 'basic clean', but you do find that as time goes on you will be sharing your shower with rising black mold, we did bring this to the owners attention, who told us that there was nothing they could do about this until the end of season, and he wasn't concerned about peoples views on this. As he already had bookings for next season. It soon became apparent that the lovely welcome received by the owners is reserved for the tourers or those using the bar/restaurant, not for those who wish to use their seasonal pitch, as we were told in no uncertain terms that we are a drain on their resources, unless of course, you pay your yearly fee and hardly use your unit, which is not what we intended to do and actually made this clear to the owner before we committed to taking on a pitch. By the second week of the summer holidays, it became clear that we had made a mistake in our choice of site and made alternative arrangements for the 2019 season.

After speaking with other owners, it became clear, that our thoughts that you were under constant surveillance whilst on the site was not unfounded, and others would often check around them before speaking in case anyone should be listening.

All in all this was not our best summer away, after touring for over 30 years all over the country, this is the first site where I have been made to feel uncomfortable, the owners attitude is one of belligerence, his ball, his game and he can change the goal posts at any point.
Management response: Unfortunately, this review has been left by an upset camper whom wanted to stay for another season, but we had to asked them to leave for reasons we will not disclose in this forum.

Yes, the facilities are small. But they are clean and the camper new this before moving onsite. As with all seasonal pitch owners they are invited to have a look round, meet us, view the site etc before we agree to a seasonal pitch.

We treat all our campers with a warm friendly welcome and continue to do so until they depart, both seasonal and tourers.

All the seasonal pitch owners here, 10 in total, have been here for a while and love it, so we have been told, well they must do, or they would have left. Yes, some do use the bar and restaurant, but some don’t, they are treated no different. Most of the touring campers we have now, are repeat customers so it cannot be all bad.

We are sorry that the camper feels they were under surveillance, but we feel security, walking around chatting to campers is part of what we do and those who feel that this is the case may have something to hide. The goal posts never change, we have site rules, which allows everyone onsite to live the same way and bring some common ground amongst strangers living together. Every campsite has rules etc it is a necessity.

Regrettably this camper was informed that they would not be able to renew their seasonal pitch for 2019 and we feel this is an unjust review when you look at the other reviews that have been left.

I am reluctantly leaving a review for this site as it would be totally selfish and unjust not to give praise to Kevin and Debbie for the very warm welcome and the site in general. Nothing was to much trouble to the extent of even producing a take away meal due to the fact we had three dogs with us, we would highly recommend a visit and certainly would return given availability now that I have let the secret out, good look for the future Debbie and Kevin.

I don't usually leave a review, I felt I must review this site because of the warmth of the reception that we received on our arrival.

I had just collected our new caravan from Grimsby and arrived on site at 7pm on Friday following a 3 hour drive. We were greeted by Kevin and shown where everything was on site and to our reserved pitch. Kevin even offered to help us pitch up.

I was without a step to enter the caravan, Kevin kindly lent us 1 for the whole weekend.

We were booked into the restaurant for dinner which was good and clearly homemade, well worth a visit.

The facilities are good and the site level, I was very impressed by the shower in terms of power and heat.

You can see From the site butlins and fantasy island is 5 mins about 1 1/2 miles away and Skegness just over 3 miles. The site is just set back in land off the coast and was perfect for us. Skegness by day, quite country pitch by night.

If we return to this area I will not be looking for any other site and there are many!

This is one gem of a site, me and my wife have been to the Skegness area a lot of times and have never really found a really good site.

We found out about this site from friends who had moved site themselves and they are seasonal, they told us all about it and said that you would not believe the difference and how good it is. So we went for 3 nights and couldn't believe what a great place this was, as soon as we had drove in Kevin and Debbie the site owners treat you like friends not just as a customer and show you personally to your pitch.

Poplar farm is a very quiet site well managed and being developed to a good standard the facilities comprise of a room with one gents, one ladies and one shower of which the shower is excellent as other site members stated and are pristine, along with everything else e. G the grass is cut and left like a bowling green and all clippings are collected meaning they are not walked into your van. All the pitches are on grass with the electric and fresh water points close to hand. The local ducks are never far from you wandering around the caravans and sometimes are quite entertaining with their antics.

Within a short drive of a mile is Fantasy island which can be seen from the farm and everything else associated with the Skegness area. Chapel st Leonards and Mablethorpe both boasting nice clean and sandy beeches. All areas in and around Skegness have all shops pubs clubs and eating places for every taste.

Poplar Farm also has it's own restaurant which we didn't dine in as we tend to cook and eat meals in our caravan, but we will on our next visit, as I popped in to book a pitch for our next visit the restaurant looks beautiful and the menu is varied to cater for even for my picky taste.

Conclusion to Poplar Farm in my opinion is that it is well managed by a great couple who keep the site clean, tidy, friendly do their level best to make sure that your stay is comfortable, how many sites do you visit where the owners come over whilst packing up to leave and and have a chat with you not only to wish you well but hope you have had a good stay and to talk to you as friends, not just as a customer. Not many I should imagine!

I hope you will find the same when you visit Poplar Farm yourselves as you will not be disapointed !

Just returned from 3 night stay the owners Kev & Debbie could not be more welcoming they made us a cup of tea while we got set up.

Lovely and quiet although not many people tent at this time of the year I just needed to have a few day relaxing and couldn't have picked a better place for it lovely site shower brilliant they now have a pot wash that's a blessing.

A ideal small site and the restaurant is a lovely place to sit and have little drink and a lovely meal the food is amazing along with excellent service and well priced.

I highly recommend this sight and we will be returning next year.

This site is well worth using, the owners Kevin and Debbie could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The site is. Mainly level with two unisex toilets and one excellent. Shower. There is an excellent restaurant which provides a la carte or bar snack meals as well as breakfast if required.

The site is handily placed for East coast resorts as well as Fantasy Island. The pitches are grass with electric hook ups available. Well behaved dogs are welcome with plenty of room for exercise. The owners tell me they are hopeful of providing a dog walk and children's area in the near future on adjoining land. I would recommend this site to anyone.

Well where to start, we are experienced camper and have visited many sites over the years from Lands’ end to Thurso and we found this to be the best small site we have stayed at.

If you like to spend time outside your unit relaxing this site is ideal from Dawn until Dusk the sun shines as the site is in open countryside a flat and well-draining site.

The owners Kev & Debbie gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful giving us information

On the local area ie shops etc. There is no site shop but it is not needed a local shop is just minutes away although you can see Fantasy Island across the fields there is no noise. Skegness and Mablethorpe are just a short drive away Lincoln is a bit further but worth the drive with its Castle Cathedral and shops.

The Poplar Restaurant is a lovely place to eat out well priced and the food is excellent all home cooked to perfection.

Facilities = There is limited 16 amp Hook-ups The shower block is unisex with one toilet for men and one for women and one shower but it has to be the best shower we have had on any site, Kev is at this time in the process of building a pot wash area.

We have never visited the same site twice but we will be going back to see how Kiev & Debbie are getting on highly recommend this site.
