A really nice club site, so peaceful and relaxing. There is a bus service about 10 minutes walk away which can take you into Kingston in one direction or Chertsey in the other. Hampton Court is a short drive away.
The entrance to the site is down a long single track road accessed through a housing estate, so it's imperative to avoid arriving before 12 noon
The site warden, although initially friendly, did annoy me somewhat by interrogating me as to whether I was working from the caravan.Just because I was using an external 19kg gas cylinder and had a hi-vis jacket in my car. He tried to get me to disconnect the gas bottle but as I am unaware of any club rule forbidding such external cylinders I compromised by disguising it with green bags. Apparently his reason was that children could tamper with it.
This attitude did tend to spoil my break somewhat, but I would definitely return and highly recommend this site for those who are content to use their own on-board sanitary facilities

This was our second visit to this lovely site, staying for only 3 nights whilst visiting Legoland.
The site is quiet, given its close to airport. And the Parakeets put on a beautiful display every evening which the kids and I loved.
I didn't take my dog this time, but will next time as the dog walk across the river was lovely.
The staff were very helpful and kid and the other campers were really friendly.
I would definitely recommend this site to others and will be going back again.

I really liked this site which was very well maintained and large. It was nice to camp alongside the river (didn't notice any sewage smell) and the recreation room was equipped with comfy seating, mags, games tables etc.
ery handy for trips into London, and don't miss out Hampton Court Palace. You could hear the rumble of traffic etc in the distance, but considering its location within the M25 not bad at all. The only snag was the aircraft noise which was bad for a couple of days before the take off path changed.
Don't forget your binoculars. Take offs stop at about 11pm and recommence about 7am. No toilet block but disposal facilities were adequate and very good prices - I paid £2.60 a night. I would visit again.

My girlfriend and I just stayed here for a quick weekend break - what a lovely site! A very friendly and peaceful site, great hospitality and ideal if you want to access London or like us, you want a quick relaxing trip out of the capital to recharge in the natural environment.
Campers are sited next to the River Ember which is a lovely feast for the eyes as you get up. There's plenty to do on the doorstep and a spot of fishing in the river if that's your thing.
We are looking forward to our next stay already.

Stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend. Nearly full but still loads of room for all. Pitched near the River Mole and very close to the excellent dog walk. Site sticks very closely to the times no arrivals before midday and off again by midday. Lots to see around-Hampton Court,Bushy Park and of course Legoland Chessington, etc. Walton on Thames very nice and Supermarkets and takeaway at East Molesey.
Great Walks around down the local River and down the Thames of course and many paths just outside the site. Reasonable site prices but you need your own facilities tent. Overall a peaceful site we'll visit again if only to see the flocks of parakeets. Entrance road tight but nothing too much to worry about!

Just returned from a great weekend at Walton On Thames which included taking the grandchildren to Legoland, which is about 35 minutes drive away. The weather was great, however the Camping and Caravanning Club has no control over that. The staff were really helpful, the site was really well kept - it looked more like a park than a campsite and all the other campers were really friendly.
What else can I say about the site - it's level, the approaching lane is unusual but not unique, I have been to sites with worse but once inside it was peace and tranquillity beyond belief.
Relaxation inside the M25 isn't always achievable but it is here.

Excellent site, friendly helpful staff and very nice dog walk. Really peaceful and sheltered from the wind will definitely be returning.
You do need your on wc and showers as there is none onsite. Great place to stay if you wont to go to london only 15 miles away.

We visited this site over Mayday bank holiday and will definitely be back. Very peaceful and a lovely rural feel in spite of being so close to London.
No problem with aircraft noise at all or sewage smell in spite of being pitched just across the river from the sewage plant. It was mainly hidden with trees and hedges though.
Loads of room on our pitch. The only problem was that we'd been put between two groups that were together (not sure why they hadn't been sited together).
The parakeets were great, flocks of them first thing in the morning and at dusk. I heard one camper complain about the noise they made in the morning, but we thought it was great and not disturbing at all.
We didn't get out and about much as was there for a relax, so can't recommend much in the area. The Weir pub was very good for eating by the river. Wouldn't so much like to eat there inside on a rainy day though. Will take our bikes next time as the Thames cycle path goes right past the pub.

We've been to this site several times with folding camper and motorhome. Usually very peaceful feel to it although depending on which flight paths are being used there can be a certain amount of aircraft noise. Never been enough to really bother us. You can also get an occasional whiff from the sewage works across the river if the wind is in the wrong direction. Facilities are hook-ups, fresh water, waste water and rubbish disposal. No recycling, loos or showers. Good dog walk, kids play area and usually enough space for games. Safest way to negotiate the lane is for someone to walk it, then give the all clear to proceed. Never had a problem with it, although there is a good selection of potholes! Assorted walks on Molesey Heath. Shops and station at Hersham. Shops and cinema in Walton itself. Should imagine we will pay it another visit in the not too distant future.

Lovely well maintained site in a very convenient location. The wardens were friendly and helpful and the site was quiet and secure. This is a very good value site if you have your own san (no loos or showers on site). The water, bin and elasn points were clean and well looked after.
The site is ideally situated for visiting Chessington World of Aventures and Thorpe Park as well as the sights of central London.
