We've been to Blakemere before and I've have just come back from a few days away.
This is a very well maintained site with excellent toilet shower block facility. This time at short notice I booked a Bronze pitch in the Paddock.
The pitches are hardstanding and its must be said that these pitches are what I describe as medium size. They will fit a car and awning, on pitch 73 I was just able to park my car in front of our caravan and awning. My caravan has a shipping length of 6. 46 metres.
Pitch 74 was taken up by a motorhome who could just fit on. The sun canopy on this unit was on the right hand side so the pitching position was quite near to us. Not a complaint just an observation.
The atmosphere of this part of site changed from being quite on Thursday to being full on Friday with many families with various ages of children.
There is a no ball games policy but this was not adhered to with various games taking place, football, cricket, rounders with the active involvement of adults. Tv reception was reasonable. Beer and wine were available at the reception shop.
The Blakemere village has a bar "The Wee Howff" that opened 2 till 9 serving Craft beers. Very handy for trips into Chester and Cheshire Oaks.
I will stay again but will try to get a pitch on the other field

Just back from a couple days here and loved it. We took the 3 grandchildren with us and there’s so much to do, a chill zone which was shut at that time but which opens back up today, a playground, shop, table tennis etc.
Once you go through the gate you are in Blakemere village which isn’t a residential village but a purpose built one with bar, restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, small funfair, woodland walk, larger playground and lots of shops.
Thumbs up to the bar (micro brewery) good value and located next to the play zone which is £5 per session.
Staff are all very pleasant and would definitely return.

The warden was very helpful and friendly.
We had booked a gold pitch (31) was allocated to us. The site was quiet. Pitch was fully serviced with electricity, water and waste. Pitch was of a good size, we are 8. 1m long. We were advised to bring long EHU cable but not at all necessary for this pitch.
Toilets/showers were cleaned regularly and always spotless and nice and warm considering it was very cold at night.
Our problem was that we had no heat in our motorhome. Fortunately I had a small heater with us but not really adequate. Thank goodness that Argos did same day delivery and we ended up toasty with a mini electric radiator running as well.
It may help others to know that A&E Leisure is only a few miles away, this is a caravan/motorhome shop with a good selection of goods.
We went for a walk around Blakemere Village, the other side of the entrance. Interesting to see with an excellent cake shop.
We never had a problem with road noise.
We will return.

This is a follow up to my earlier review. The high standards of ground maintenance were still in place.
This time went on a Silver pitch (number 50). Unlike the previous Gold pitch this time I had excellent tv reception only using the omni direction aerial. I bought wifi £7 for two days and had no problems with this.
Just had one frosty night on the 21st Nov the water points did not freeze up nor did the chem toilet disposal. I didn't take my aquaroll cover and this did freeze, I had plenty of bottled water so it wasn't a problem on what was our departure day. T
He Wee Howff bar has now opened inside, or if you prefer the outside area has electric wall heaters.
All in all a good tidy site which I will be happy to visit again.

Well maintained site with excellent modern clean and spacious toilet block. Site managers friendly and obliging. Craft centre next door and the little bar (restricted hours) were definitely a plus point.
I was on a service pitch number11. Not a very sunny pitch, the tv connection on the bollard may have been faulty couldn't always receive ITV, long leads water electric may be needed their email they sent after my booking made that clear.
Dog friendly and also a little playground for children The drain was on the pitch a little hard to access when 'van is parked over the drain.
Handy for Chester, Cheshire Oaks, a lovely little site and I intend to return. Used the supermarkets in Northwich.

Excellent site, facilities spotless, lady receptionist very good.
A bit of traffic noise but would not put me off from returning.
A little expensive compared to other sites of same standard.

Nice site but really noisy at night.
Supposed to be quiet after 10pm but wasn't enforced. No out of hours number to call to complain about it.
Expensive for what it was.
