Wow! Loved our stay at Hennock, wonderful atmosphere with amazing views. Very basic facilities, but that's part of the charm.

The campsite was fairly quiet, even though there were plenty of children playing, probably because it is spacious.

As night fell it became dark enough to see the stars, with annoying campsite lights.

Would definitely recommend this site to those who like real camping.

My Daughter and I stand here for 5 days which wasn't long enough at all, Not only are the owners Totally lovely and knowledgeable of the area,

My dog was allowed off lead too run round with the owners dogs Daisy and Lady and my dogs new best friend Eric from the tent next door :0) he had a field day.

Lovely views. Great location. Lovely showers and loos, Great little shop for all basic needs as it is out in the middle off no where,

Lovely to have Campfires you need them on the mores at night, Nice pub grab, Freezer for your cool bloaks and brilliant TEA SHED which we used when we were pitching our tent and then when I ran out of milk just b4 we had to leave lol,

Roads are a bit scary but then I'm use to motorway driving not little country lanes, but its worth it to get to such a beautiful run site thank you Kate and family 4 a lovely site xx

My family and I began the first few days pretty much accepting the conditions accounting for the numerous comments from other campers.

The views from tent were stunning, along with extremely lovely weather. A large percentage of the dog population were very much fun and sociable, their owners need to take Moor responsibility for poop colection.

We have ended up with full dog bags in the hedge near us, yes we are a dog owner. Unfortunately the reality is, little or no water. 1 minute ther is water then there NOT ATALL. The site does inform us of the low water pressure and fluctuations in basic water supply. This is sadly insufficient when family's are in sun and young children need high demands on fluids not just for drinking but for good cleanliness.

There is only so much standing around waiting for amenities to function with out being frozen or scolding water whilst you tune shower dials and cold water taps, you can take and pay for before its time to call it quits and search somewhere else better accommodating.

There is a very cheerful tea shed, honesty shop etc, but I feel this effort would better served in areas of regular loo rolls, improved water supplies, far better cleaning attitudes and a good rules based on owner to dog awareness with dog poo collection.

My partner and I have spent most of a day searching out a better place to stay with better amenities. Perhaps a large 5000 gallon water tank would be a solution.

Loved the welcome, Kate was so friendly and accommodating.

The tea shed, although we didn't use it was brilliant; we have never ever been to a site before where you can make your own FREE tea, coffee or hot chocolate. There was also a tin of soup and a tin of beans for those who may have been hungry but caught short of supplies.

Loved the views and the play park (although not having children we didn't need it), the opportunity to use free electrical sockets (although not quite so easy in the rain) for hair drying etc.

Spacious pitches; pick where you want to pitch but ensure not too close to others.

More toilets are planned and that will make a big difference in the future, reducing the early morning queueing for the loo. Nice to have showers and loos in together but it does hamper a quick trip to the loo!

We stayed for four days at this lovely peaceful and secluded site. The views from the site are wonderful. Lovely owners Kate & Roy and Kate's dad an absolute delight. Wish we could have stayed longer but our main aim this time was visiting relatives and we would most definitely visit this site again (something we don't often do). The Tea shed is a brilliant idea and has a sink, small camping stove and kettle. There are tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and milk, there was also soup and various other bits and bobs. I would think for a backpacker, especially this would be perfect if the weather wasn't being kind! The Palk Arms is a few minutes walk away and the meals are reasonably priced.

The shower block was almost finished and will be a welcome addition.

If you want proper camping and peace and quiet this is the site for you.
