Lovely farm site and always well kept.

Shower/toilets under floor heating

Well kept and clean.

Site staff always helpful and polite.

Ideal if you want somewhere quiet to stay.

This is a working livery stable farm so there are no frills. It is a nice quiet, budget site. As has been reported in earlier reviews, the pitches are level with EHUs.

The toilets and showers are kept clean and there is plenty of hot water, you may have to run it a couple of minutes to get hot.

The site is ideally situated to explore Salisbury and Winchester. There are lots of walks in the area for those who like rambling.

We were very happy staying there and we would keep it on our list for future.

A lovely quiet campsite in a beautiful location with stunning views across miles of fields full of growing food! The owner was very friendly and made sure everything was OK and that we were happy with the pitch, we being me and my cat.

It's not every campsite that has horses wandering around between the vans at 3 o`clock in the morning but it certainly added to the informal atmosphere.

There is plenty to do and see around the area. Salisbury is always worth a visit and there is a great park and ride scheme. It is free to park and the bus ride is also currently free. Makes it so easy not having to drive into the city and find and pay for a parking space.

There are two places you can choose for the park and ride on this side of the city, either the London Road site or the Beehive Roundabout park. 4

This is definitely a campsite to which I will return.

Excellent little campsite. Great value, well kept, toilets - clean and very good. A very relaxed site and one which I will return to.

The location is very good - close to Salisbury, Stonehenge, Old Sarum etc etc. Also a very good circular walk from the village.

There is a pub in the village which is in a lovely setting. The beer is good but the food! I had to wait an hour and was average! I will return but only for the beer. One tip for walking to the village is to turn left out of the campsite and after all the buildings there is a footpath off to the left which leads straight to the village. This avoids the road which has no footway.

The site has wifi but I couldn't log on except if right by the toilets! I think the repeater in the barn needs rebooting. Nevertheless the 4G reception is very good.

All in all a great experience in a hidden gem campsite.

This was our second visit to this site and we returned as it was a nice peaceful site nearby Salisbury with Stonehenge around 30 minutes away.

There is a local pub within walking distance which we will not go back to.

The site was very quiet and a good place to go if you just want to relax, the main road is about 2 miles away so no traffic noise.

The showers and toilet were clean with good hot water so we cannot complain.

Will be back to visit in July.

We have been storing here for a short while and have visited most weekends.

I have observed previous comments and find they are not very well balanced

You have to remember. This isn't a campsite business. It's a working farm in a stunning location and the owners have opened up their land to accommodate us. So it's not going to be targeted towards hard to please people. But more relaxed people.

The facilities are fine. They aren't all modern and marble covered with spot lights with dyson dryers but they are brilliant. Heating is never off in the shower block. The underfloor heat is a great touch. Showers are great. And plenty of hot water at all times.

As for the cleanliness. I've never seen the shower block dirty. But that's may be because there's less people here making them filthy? If anyone has seen them grubby then someone has made them like this so site staff (actually a farm worker) can't be to blame.

There are some great walks straight from site.

There is a lot of coming and going from people who keep their horses here so always something to watch.

Everyone is very friendly. It's very relaxing and it's a great price. For 16 quid a night. You get great times. Please peeps. Don't whine about the site or they will end up spending 1000s on it to please you. Then the price will go up. Keep the marble and shiny things elsewhere. And enjoy this place for what it is. A working farm :)

Helpful staff. Clean toilets and showers. Great walks. Easy to find.

Washing up area always clean.

Good for couples or older children. Nice for dogs as walking in area is great. When I phoned to book lady was very helpful as I have a reactive dog she suggested a good place to set up. Entry code needed for barrier.

Gem of a hide away site.

Just returned from a long weekend on the site. The showers in the ladies were fine (no sign of being held up by duct tape) and in working working order. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Its a working farm as stated on their website, so if you have children they should be supervised at all times.

I could see no electric fencing round the pitches at the rear or front. The only place at the back where there might be would be the horses field its a working stable after all.

Overall a lovely relaxed site if you just want a quiet time. Local village Pitton and Farley have children's playpark, or alternatively visit Laverstock Community farm to see the animals.

Not the worst site I've ever stayed in, but does need improvements.

Pitches are spacious and level, water accessible but only 2 stand pipes for entire site. Wash up area only 1 sink inside a wooden shed. Chemical toilet disposal is a hole in the ground inside another shed.

Toilets and showers need vast cleaning, with female showers held up with duct tape.

Not exactly child friendly with exposed electric fencing around pitches with no signage, it is a working livery stable.

Staff were friendly and approachable with a relaxed attitude.

Nice quite place to go, but there is a 14% climb from the village up to the site, so the walk to the local pub/shop can be vigorous.

Advertises WiFi but none on site during my stay.

Good tv coverage.

Is dog friendly, ask for safe fields to let them loose.

A very quiet site based on a livery yard - no staff/wardens on site during our stay and due to its location solo travellers may feel a little isolated.

Pitches are flat and facilities are clean. May be queuing for pot wash if the site was full with only 1 sink. The showers could be improved with better shower heads. Currently very small fixed jets which produce a wide spray of water.

Pub and shop in village within walking distance but down a steep hill.

Pricing seems a little odd with only £2 per night difference between a 3 man tent and an 6/8 man family tent.

All in all a great little site and great value for money if you just need a pitch to lay your head. No facilities for children.
