It has been said that this campsite could possibly be the best in the UK. This has to rank along statements such as elvis is alive and working in my local chippy in terms of accuracy and boldness. I stayed here expecting great things.
Caravans pitched closely together with barely enough space to park a car between. A small muddy wet area for tents (ok it has rained a lot). Luckily although heavily overlooked by vans they were all empty. The site was quiet however and was well sheltered and quite close to the beach (10 min walk) but no shops within walking distance.
Gents smell of pee. Very shabby washing units. I didn't try the shower. One wash up sink for dishes etc for the entire site, with no warm/hot water. This had to be carried from the toilets. No shop or any other facilities. No play area.
It was cheap though only £6. 00 a night.

Management response: Please note this campsite was purchased by new owners in January 2019 and reopened in March 2019 following extensive ground work with new pitches. There is a newly built shower blocks and shop. Old reviews refer to the previous ownership and prior to the improvements being carried out. |

Stayed here Bank Holiday weekend at my brother's van which like many others is permanently sited here. Lovely little site very close to nice beaches, towns and shops not far away. Brian is very helpful and welcoming. Always speaks to everyone and constantly to hand on the site. Quiet considering the number of people there and the weekend! Will definitely return.

Just come back from a wonderful 10 nights away at Wern Mill. Brian the owner is a lovely & friendly man that can't do enough for you. He has now had a family shower room built which is great for us. The toilets & showers are always very clean & fresh. Ideal site for us as it's walking distance to a lovely beach & country club that serves great meals. Hope to go again in the next 5 weeks.

We have been holidaying at Wern Mill Caravan and Camping Site for over 19 Years. Couldnt wish for a better site and the owner Brian Hand is the most polite and helpful site owner anyone could wish for. Always willing to help anyone who visits wether they are regular vistors or new visitors to the site. No other site we have been on throughout the country offers cups of coffee and tea during your stay like Brian does. There are showers but no play area, but plenty of children go there with their parents and have a very exciting holiday. This site has electric hook ups and hard standings, toilet blocks and showers. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas, beach, shops and pubs a short distance away.

We love this site I've been going since a young age with my parents & now I take my children.. It does get very busy peak weeks so book early.. Walking distance to a pub & beach & theres a market on aswell once a week close to the site.. Brian the owner is a lovely & helpful man you can tell he's well liked by everyone.. Sadly we haven't been able to go this year & I am missing it..(My sister & her family go on Sunday for a week) The beach in New Quay is so beautiful, best beach I've been on.. Last year we saw the dolphins they really made our holiday... Wern mill is a really good site & new quay is the best place I've been to I can't praise it enough! well worth going you won't be disapointed..

Had a nice stay here a bit over crowded with caravans - we had to pitch up in a gap in between. Luckily it was out of season, so a lot of the caravans weren't occupied. The owner was a very nice accomodating gentleman. Freezer facilities, good clean toilet block and washing up facilities.

Excellent site. Above all, very welcoming and friendly. Site so popular, tends to become extremely crowded at peak times and site owner obligingly tries to accommodate all new arrivals. My all time favourite site in UK. My only wish is that it could be expanded slightly.
Perfect base for breathtaking days out, ie, Cym Tdu, Llangrannog, New Quay. The list of beautiful spots is endless.
