Lovely site. Owners/managers very helpful and friendly and the facilities were modern and spotlessly clean with a hairdryer and and electric socket. Washing up in big Belfast sinks but no drainers.
A beautiful walk to a beach and possible to walk to Newquay along beach when the tide was out (or alternatively along coastal path) all signposted.
Had the best coffee at the Bosun's Locker in Newquay but the menus of the eateries in the town were a bit limited unless you love fish.
The site has Bus stop near (a 5 min walk) serving Newquay Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and beyond other way also the management offered lifts to Newquay for a small donation to the defibrillator fund.
The only problem we had at this site was that the pitches were laid with stones/pebbles and not entirely level, we set up the wedges to improve the level but because of the gauge of the stones, when we drove on to them they just buried themselves down into the stones.
Not so great for motorhomes but probably fine for caravans. Also, other campers (who were short on campsite etiquette) were apt to walk closely past our windows as there was no short pathway to the facilities.

We arrived and were promptly met by the manager who moved our van into place in less than 5 minutes. He gave us a quick guide to the site and left us to it.
We loved the fact you can walk to the beach, it is about 15 minutes away.
Dog friendly, children's park ( our children are too old now but nice park non the less)
5/10 minute drive into New Quay.
Great spot to explore the south west region.
Everything was so so clean! This was a huge bonus in my eyes.
The shower rooms were modern and the showers were huge with plenty of hot water.
There was a tiny shop that seemed to have everything you needed and local too which was a bonus.
There was a horse box converted into a mini bar which locals also used so that was nice to have available.
Only things we disliked which were unavoidable, the site is on a one way system that is very narrow and windy. Some people ignore the one way system so to meet an oncoming car whilst towing was worrying.
The groundkeeper seemed to have no manners at all and cut wet grass all over our awning as we were in the process of packing up. We did advise the management of this who said they would have a word. Annoying when you have grass stains in your awning now.
Overall we would be happy to go back again

Fantastic site. Owners very helpful and friendly. Toilets and showers best I've ever see. Immaculate. 15 min walk to a beach. Able to walk to Newquay along beach when tide out. Or along coastal path above.
Bus stop just a 5 min walk. Hourly service to Aberaeron, Aberystwyth or as far as Cardigan and beyond other way. Free Saturdays & Sundays. Will definitely return. 5 *

Please note this campsite was purchased by new owners in January 2019 and reopened in March 2019 following extensive ground work with new pitches. There is a newly built shower blocks and shop. Old reviews refer to the previous ownership and prior to the improvements being carried out.

It's quite a few years since we came to this site, but we came for quite a few years until we actually moved to rural Wales, so our caravan holidays are a thing of the past now. But, it's nice to see Brian still runs it. He is such a lovely man, and nothing is ever too much trouble. He even once charged up our battery in his garage overnight, and once packed up my van and hitched it to the car after I'd pulled a muscle in my back. Nice to see it has remained relatively unchanged, as we feared the big site nearby may have swallowed him up. Way to go Brian, and I hope you continue.

My wife and I first visited Wern Mill over 25 years ago, and it was all we could wish for in a site, it has clean toilets plenty of hook up points nicely manicured grass between the caravans, and the pitches are nice and flat and even, and a very helpful and pleasant owner, OK there is no shop or bar on site, so what! if you are looking for that sort of holiday you could try Butlins or Quay West just up the road.
We have made Wern Mill our second home always a warm welcome and a perfect place to act as a base, so you can travel to other attractions in the area, in New Quay you have a choice of some very good eating houses, there is two chip shops and a pub or two, needless to say we have been back every year since the first time we went and we shall be there again in September this year and we are looking forward to it.
It is the perfect place to go and chill out before the Winter sets in and the manic time around Christmas.

A good little site that I'm happy to recommend.
It's a bit hard to find. Look for the sign from the B4342 going towards New Quay, turn right then turn left as much as you can, the entrance sign is up a lamp post. What google maps show as this site is actually a caravan site down the road a bit.
On the site there are mostly long-term-stay tourer vans, but there are a few spaces for tourers and plenty of hook-ups. The site is flat and the grass well kept. The toilet block is plenty big enough and, although old, is well kept. Plenty of hot water in the taps and a 20p 5 minute shower. There is a washing up sink outside under cover.
The owner was very pleasant and engaging. He lives in the house on the site and takes an interest in keeping the place right.
And it was cheap, which is good.
It's a good long walk into New Quay itself, past the big caravan parks which regard the coastline as theirs. The town is a nice place to be, with the quay, marina, lots of benches, cafes and pubs, all built onto a hillside with narrow streets. There is one mini supermarket.
Closer to the site is Cei Bach beach which is sheltered, sandy, weed strewn and lovely, but again the caravan parks would like it to be theirs and it's very hard to find somewhere to park nearby.
The coast path either way is great. Aberaeron to the North is worth a visit. Get away from the traffic on the main road and it has character, and proper shops.

A basic site which gives you a warm welcome. It is amazingly good value and close to Newquay and walks etc.
We had a hook up and a shingle standing, although most appeared to be grass. Bad telephone reception for mobiles etc, in fact no signal at all, and we could not get T.V to work, but that was not a bad thing, as the Area and beach are lovely. We had a short walk into Newquay by beach.
The toilet blocks are adequate and clean but basic, but good hot water. The block had all the essentials nearby, elson point, water taps and drains etc.
The area is very rural and quiet, and you need to go into Newquay (About 2 miles away) if you want anything. This is a very green and lovely part of Wales and very rural. On the walk we saw plenty of wildlife, and Red Kites are to be seen in the area. Boat trips from Newquay to see the dolphins etc.
This is not a site if you want to laze about and play games near your caravan, it is however, great to relax in peace and quiet and take in the countryside.
I enjoyed my visit and will be back. This is not a commercialised site, and has many caravans just standing on the site, only being used from time to time by visitors who leave them there, all around the season. The owner is very cheerful and helpful.
We spent 3 nights here and used the hook up. You will not believe the value for money.

What a lovely little site.
My husband had been to this site when he was a little boy, and now we have our own baby we decided to go there ourselves. It was the beginning of the summer holidays, so it was busy, but Brian, the owner managed to fit us in. He was really helpful, and was always there if we needed anything. It has everything you need, shower, toilets, place to wash your post, bins, water and waste. It is about a 10 min walk to the beach, and the nearest pub is on Cai Bach campsite which is on route to the beach.
It was a great week, and fantastic price too! We were in a tourer, with hook up, and an awning, plus two dogs and it was only £9 per night. For what you need when camping, it is perfect. Will be going back again, and I can't wait!
