This site has recently been expanded to accept several more motorhomes and touring caravans.
It is situated on a working harbour with a smallish new toilet block with 2 cubicles plus 2 shower rooms and a washing up room, accessed by electronic barrier pass.
Also has chemical disposal point. Very friendly welcome from the staff and reasonably priced @ £22 per night for two adults. Pitches are quite small and would be difficult to access some pitches without caravan motor movers, no room for awnings!
Large pea gravel on access roads and pitches, no concrete hardstandings.
Park security was rather poor as noticed many people walking, some with dogs on open road next to caravan park which was completely open to public at one end.
Parts of the grassy banked areas were in need of tidying, overgrown weeds & rubbish lying around.
Overall. A good site in need of improved security and a little TLC.

This is an excellent site within the working harbour at Maryport.
Easy access to town - pubs, fish abs chips, supermarket, aquarium and indoor climbing centre.
Lake District is a 40 minute drive.
Excellent base for Solway coast.
Site has brand new, modern facilities.
Excellent!

Quiet site with excellent facilities, although I would question if the number of toilets and showers would be sufficient when the site is full,
Maryport is a bit rundown town but doesn't spoil the feel of the site situated on the marina.

Great little site.
Location is excellent, right in the heart of the working harbour.
It's still a developing site, having been recently extended to (more than) double its capacity, so grass banks are still growing but when they've matured later this summer it will be fantastic.
Loo and shower block is good and clean, accessed by Radar Key, so it's exclusive for campers, but I wonder if they will be enough in high season if the whole campsite is booked.
One suggestion would be to put a chair in the shower cubicles and a couple of pegs on the wall to hang your towel but otherwise, this place is great and good value for the location.
Staff were very friendly and site security was good with keypad entry and exit for vehicles.
Location-wise, it's in a great spot, within easy reach of the town on foot and the beach is only 2 minutes away on the other side of the sea wall.
The high sea wall means the site is really well sheltered from the wind, too.

Our first visit here, easy to find and a nice setting by the marina. Shower and toilet block spotless and Covid safe.
The walk into town takes 5 - 10 mins and we used the Golden Lion Hotel for a meal which was very good. Some of the local pubs were not open and so options for food and drink were a bit limited.
Overall a great little site (10 pitches ) and will definitely return.

Harbour side is exactly that very interesting historical place to stay. Staff very friendly and showed all the facilities did not see a gray water disposal point? we were escorted to our pitch rate included electric Rate just about tight, site was very clean.
We will certainly return to explore the many walks 1 night was just not long enough to appreciate the attractive surroundings.

This is one of our favourite sites. 10 level hard standing pitches with water. All with views of the marina within a few feet, beach 10 minutes walk away. Use of the yacht club facilities which are very good including a lounge area where you can watch tv, eat your food.
There is a microwave and kitchen equipment in there or just relax and chill whilst looking through the windows at the marina and its yachts.
There is free wifi which I have to say is better whilst in the lounge area and it is dog friendly (no charge). Not a lot for children but there is plenty to do in the town for them. Only 10 minutes max to walk there. Dependent on the tides which control the time the bridge is open to get there (you just walk a little further).
Plenty of shops including a brand new lidl, b and m and herons and a good little home bakery. The bakehouse selling fresh bread and ready meal etc. And lots more. Plenty of dog friendly pubs with very good food available and very reasonable. Good bus service from curzon street takes you to workington one way where you can then go to keswick and beyond or the other way to cockermouth, silloth carlile. EHU is via card. You pay for what you use.
We just stayed for 4 nights in cool weather using our heater every day and cooking every day via ehu and paid £5. 43. Not a rip off at all. The staff are great and very helpful. No drive over grey waste for motorhomes so need a waste container.
All for £19 a night midweek and £20 weekends !

Very friendly help full staff.
Excellent location.
Level easy access pitches
Short walk to town with a few good pubs and restaurants, we had good food in the Nelson.
You can get two toilet fobs.
Good TV lounge.
The only thing that we felt let this site down was the showers, whilst they are spotless the sealant around the tray and the shower curtains are mouldy which I find unacceptable for a site that's otherwise excellent and very clean.
