Very pleasant stay for a couple of nights.
Maryport has a reputation for being run down, but things have improved since my last visit and regeneration is continuing with more plans in the pipeline.
If you like boats and harbours this is a great place to wander round.
The site itself is near perfect with immaculately clean facilities.
We will be back.

Stopped over on way up to Scotland and whilst the site is reasonable, as it’s in a nice little marina, not the best as the town itself is very tired looking and Main Street extremely tired.
Facilities were clean but no way near enough of them for the number of units on site.
Wouldn’t go out my way to stop over again.

Nice quiet site.
Could maybe do with a couple more toilets as quite often they were all in use.
Close to the Aquarium and the Marina View Cafe is close by, serving good food - just a pity the actual town of Maryport is run down.

This site is a little hidden gem, with all facilities on hand and the town of Maryport as the backdrop.
I couldn't ask for better.
I will definitely be back.

We stayed here back in May. The staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂.
The site is clean and well presented but not good for people with walking difficulties.
As the road is made up of pebbles. But It's a quiet site. Close to town. Local are very friendly too.
I had a bicycle accident back in May. And was brought back to the. MH by two lovely ladies. One is named Tracey and she works in the. Life Boat pub.
Stayed here again in August and it was wonderful as I got out too see all the sites. And the beaches.
Our little Dachshund winnie loved it. Playing with other dogs.
Definitely goin back. Weather 😎was on our side this time round. Didn't want to come home. 😔.
Go for it. From the PLWTs. 🤪😎🍺🐾🐾

Great location and good cafe on site,
However pitches very small and staff not enforcing parking rules for vans with awnings, meant we had a car parked very close to our van, which I doubt is within fire regs.
Generally needs a bit of TLC, grass needs cut/tidied and evening lighting needs checked and repaired.
Not enough showers or toilets

This is an excellent site, right on the marina in the middle of the large harbour in Maryport and very quiet and peaceful with very little traffic.
The pitches are gravel and level with a fair-sized grassy patch between.
The best showers that we have visited having all the things that I bemoan the lack of! There are only 2 unisex showers but each one is a proper shower room with toilet, washbasin and spacious shower. A stool to sit on, plenty of hooks, and an electric shower so you can control the heat and don't have to keep pressing the button. Plus immaculately clean.
As previous reviewers have mentioned, two showers would probably not be enough if the site were full, but as it was less than half full while we were there it wasn't a problem.
Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful on arrival. There is a cafe in the reception building which we didn't use but did see some fetching their morning coffee from it.
An easy walk into Maryport which was rather disappointing with many shops closed and a general air of neglect. The Lifeboat Inn appeared to be the only pub open that served food but was rather underwhelming.
However we really enjoyed the Roman museum despite me not being a fan of ancient artefacts. Trains were on strike but there is a good bus service to Workington and Whitehaven and a less frequent one to Cockermouth.
We were blessed with beautiful weather during our stay, and the sunsets from the site are quite wonderful.

Lovely site right on the harbour.
Watching the sun set from our caravan with a G and T.
Nice long sea front walks.
Would have to keep an eye on children as the harbour has a steep drop down to where the yacht are.
But great site

Stayed at this excellent site for just 2 nights.
Will definitely return if in area.
Individual toilets/ shower rooms kept extremely clean.
Know they had a fully serviced Disabled shower room with aids etc, but would have like a grab handle in other showers. Lovely hot water.
Maybe as other reviewers have said if site completely full facilities may not be enough.
Site facilities all behind bar or locks but people could come into site freely if wanted to.
Reception staff very pleasant & accommodating.
Easy walk into village which could do with a bit of TLC.
Harbour area very tidy & interesting to walk to & around, unfortunately no more time to visit other local interesting tourist sights.
Meal at local pub Lifeboat Inn very nice. Highly recommend.
