What a fab site. Level pitches. Friendly staff and hot showers (free)! Ok so it's a little on the pricey side. But its two mins. To the best surfing beach in the UK! Wicked atmosphere on the site too. Very young and chilled. Noise not a problem and they accept large groups. Loved it so much. Going back this year!

August 2005 Good site. We arrived really late and were turned away from the site we had originally booked with. However the staff at this site were very welcoming and helpful. I was expecting the worst as the facilities are actually portacabins but they were spotless so don't let that put you off. A bit pricey at £10 per person per night and you have to park your car in a separate field from the tent which was a bit inconvenient. However the plus points were a nice relaxed atmosphere, you can see the sea from the site and it is fairly flat. Would definitely go again.

August 2004 During one of the busiest months of the year I visited this site with my three female friends all aged 17 after trying hard to find somewhere which would accept such a group. The campsite is hard to find as it isn't signposted very well, but if you look for sandy lane rather than Surfers paradise you cant miss it! which meant there was LOADS of room so we chose our pitch. Once in the site we were slightly unhappy about the £8.00 per person plus £3.00 per vehicle (per nite) but we found the site to be well worth it. It seems to be the closest camp site to the beautiful Croyde Bay (2 minutes walk) which is popular with surfers and bodyboarders but is accompanied by lovely soft sand to bathe on or play games. The town nearby is small but has all the necessities for camping plus cream teas, surf board and wetsuit hire and a few pubs. The staff at the campsite are very helpful and friendly and there are a few drinks and munchies available at the reception. The toilets are clean and the free showers stay hot for ages! Although there is no curfue for noise this wasn't a problem and the atmosphere was great! would definately recommend to anyone who is interested in camping with beachside scenery, great waves, guaranteed flat space and a good time. Also suggest watching the sunset from the sand dunes as this was the highlight of my stay :)

Julu '02 Good for the younger crowd but very expensive.Anyone who remebers the old Summerfields scene will hate this; it's full of Wannabees.
