This is a lovely campsite - unfortunately for us it rained pretty much solid for two days but nevertheless would return. The warden was really helpful on arrival even phoning the local pub to try and book us in and giving us numbers of taxi firms that would also take our dog. The site itself is a beautiful walled garden with lots of trees and plenty of wildlife including red squirrels.
Its a 25 minute walk into the very pretty Aberlour - one route being alongside the lovely Spey. Will definitely return, preferably in dry weather.

Had a lovely week stay(12/6/15-19/6/15)at this cracking little site, we were greeted by the site warden who informed us of where to pitch what was on site what was around the area gave us directions to a stunning waterfall walk next to aberlour distillery, speyside cooperage is a great visit, it is where they make and repair whisky barrels £4. 50 for tour I think is great value, plenty to do in area, big shopping complex in nearby elgin, a visit to spey bay dolphin and whale center is a must, spotting dolphins leaping about is just awesome, the staff are brilliant and there is a brilliant café there too, great food.
Campsite facilities consist of ladies and gents toilets, three unisex showers which are free and good pressure, washing up sink, and chemical toilet point, small reception and shop and a launderette.
All in all the site was well maintained and kept clean although the site was busy a real tribute to the wardens.
Aberlour village short drive or twenty minute walk has most things you want including a brilliant takeaway shop great food reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend this site and will definitely be going back in the near future.

We stayed on this site for a week 12/6/15-19/6/15, absolutely brilliant, site wardens especially denice goes out of her way to help gave us a walk to local waterfall (linn falls @ the side of aberlour distillery) speyside cooperage is a must, spey bay for the dolphins and a brilliant café to boot, saw loads of dolphins.
Brilliant takeaway in village (aberlour takeaway), big asdas in nearby elgin, plenty of local attractions.
Will definitely be going back.
Site has three unisex showers free of charge, ladies and gents toilet block, wash up sink, chemical toilet point, electric hook up, water, launderette.

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Aberlour Gardens, when we arrived we were delighted to have been placed near our friends static caravan. The welcome was very warm when we checked in and the wee shop seemed to be well stocked with lifes essentials.
The toilet block was very clean as were the showers. Laundry room was fully equipped and I made very good use of the 'spinner' to dry out some clothes.
The children loved the playpark.
The whole site is clean, quiet, and has every amenity that is required. We will definitely be back.

Used the site for a late break. Contrary to the Main Details section, Aberlour gardens appears to be open from early march until the end of December - including Christmas (which is not surprizingly, High season).
Being mid October, the site was fairly quiet, but everything was still beautifully maintained. In spite of recent rain, the site was dry and even had tent campers on the grass pitches.
So, in addition to my previous (Early summer) review, this site appears to provide a first class opportunity for late season camping & caravanning.

This is a real gem of a site, located 500mtrs from the A95 and the Speyside Way on the edge of Aberlour village. Both the site and facilities are pretty basic, but are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Pitches are of a good size and are on a mix of grass and hardstanding. All types of units are catered for. There is a small children's' play area, but there few other activities in the area to keep them amused.
Aberlour is at the heart of the Malt Whisky industry and a number of distilleries are within easy reach by car or public transport, or on foot along the Speyside way. The village has a good number of pubs and cafes, and sufficient shops to supply most camping needs.
Overall, a fantastic, friendly base to explore Speyside, though perhaps not the most family orientated.

Stayed here on a cycling trip. The site is very well maintained - it had a sign to say it had been voted best site or something by Practical Caravan readers. I can see why.
The toilets are clean and well designed. Showers were hot and clean.
I liked the fact they had a Back Packer area to put small tents and priced the pitch accordingly. Plenty of information available in the laundry area. The grass was level.
Owner / manager was very welcoming and friendly. We'll go back again in the future.

A really nice and clean site. The walled garden makes a difference as we were sheltered from the bad weather (woke up to ice sliding down the tent). The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The provision of camping tables made a difference as we had somewhere to sit down for meals. The pitches are well spaced although a little hard to drive in the pegs. A peg hammer would be advisable.
The area is great and this site is an ideal base to explore from. The Walkers shop in Aberlour (half-hourish walk) must be visited as the seconds are brilliant, 75p for a slab of cake, £1. 50 for a load of biscuits.

We have just returned from this site, the weather was very bad, but the family that run this site made us so welcome, it was truly like a breath of spring. We should have stayed three nights but on the second night out tent was wet through but the owner helped us out without question, well above the normal standards we have come to expect. Will we go again? Too right we will be back there as soon as we can
The site facilities are a well stocked shop (running it down just now due to end of season) Toilet and shower blocks very clean and well maintained. Site is well looked after and very clean. We used the local but but there is a hill to climb up to the site but you cannot have everything.
The area is fab and well worth a visit, get onto the old railway track (now unused by the trains) and walk in either direction it is amazing. I cannot recommend this site enough. There is a small play area for the kids to play. The only down point I found was there was no undercover cooking area but I am assured it is in hand and being sorted out probably over this winter.

This is an absolute gem of a campsite! Wonderfully sheltered inside a huge, tree-studded walled garden, the wind blew and the rain rained a few times but we barely noticed. Ideal for either tents or caravans, there are plenty of EHU's and the pitches are very generously sized with space between to ensure no-one feels cramped.
There's a nice little play area for the kids and it's within walking distance of the village of Aberlour with its plentiful shops. (PS: the local chippie is fantastic!)
The site's owners are very friendly and helpful and there's a decent little shop on-site for the basic bits and bobs, newspapers, ice-creams etc. The laundry is the best I've used on a campsite and good value for money- none of this waiting what feels like 8 hours for a towel to dry like some places. There's a good washing machine and a spin-dryer, too.
The toilets and showers, whilst not ultra-modern, are spacious, well appointed and immaculately clean.
Aberlour Gardens is a Gold-standard David Bellamy Conservation Award site, which they are rightly proud of. Keep an eye open for the squirrels- indigenous Reds in particular- there is a log in the laundry for any wildlife spotting you do which helps evaluate numbers- should keep the kids entertained too.
Aberlour is a good base to venture out and do some sight-seeing- we managed a good look around Elgin, a day at Loch Ness (a boyhood ambition of mine to visit) and a day up in the mountains at Cairngorms National Park.
Here's a hidden gem for you, though: if you can, head south from Cairngorms through Aviemore. Just past a place called Kincraig you'll find the Highland Wildlife Park. It's superb- geared to the conservation of cold-weather species, it has Amur Tigers, a Polar Bear and a host of other animals in excellent enclosures specifically designed for their needs. You can drive around part of the park yourself, but take my advice and go on the free Land Rover Tour from the visitor centre- brilliant and informative!
To summarise: love the site, love the area and can't wait to go back! Do yourselves a favour and get thee to Abelour Gardens!
