This was our first trip of the year with our caravan so we chose somewhere not to far from home.
The site was easy to find and is in nice quiet position near to Aberlour. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The site is well laid out and has plenty of space between pitches. The toilets are kept extremely clean and the ladies (I'm told) are a palace!.
The shop is small but stocked with the essentials with sweets and ice cream for the kids. They loved going to the shop.
The play area was good, the kids enjoyed it.
I would recommend the site and will visit again as it is ideal for visiting the whisky trail and local fisheries.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this wonderful site after being blown off the Isle of Skye the night before! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the site is in a beautiful setting in a walled garden. All the grounds are exceptionally well attended, the toilet block is warm and spotlessly clean and they have a box of levelling blocks free to use (despite some of them being stolen in the past!) Being on the Whiskey Trail, a walk into the village may take a while but there is a distillery at the end of the village which makes for a pleasant return walk! Walkers Shortbread factory is also there with an amazing range of scrumptiousness in their village shop. We would heartily recommend this site and have every intention of returning again. We wish the owners all the best in their eco-aware running of the site. And thanks again for a peaceful couple of days and nights, a refuge indeed from the near hurricane conditions we had encountered earlier

We spent a week here whilst touring the area.
I really am hesitant to write a review because this is one of the best sites we have ever been to, and I would most strongly recommend it.
This is at the risk of it being full and unable to take us on our next visit.
It ticks all the boxes, clean, tidy, quiet, friendly staff, beautiful area etc.
A most enjoyable week

Immaculate, peaceful & very attractive site. Ladies loos are luxurious ! Plenty hook-ups, waste bins, standpipes etc all conveniently situated. I am ignorant about children so can`t comment on `childfriendliness'!
Personally I think an ideal base for longer stays as there are many interesting & pretty small towns & villages within easy driving distance (coastal & inland)or simply enjoy the wonderful countryside which surrounds you.
There is an excellent butcher in Aberlour, & the local delicatessen is well worth a visit. A tad hefty with it`s prices (£2 for a SMALL slice of quiche.!)but has a very good selection of delicious cheeses, olives etc.
For those with dogs, there is a nice walk nearby up a farm track, but nowhere immediately at hand where they can be off-lead.Excellent site if you want a quiet & pretty place to base yourself & to explore Speyside.

Stayed here over a long weekend Fri-Mon.
As a vanner with 3 kids and a dog, this was a bad choice. The site itself was tidy and quiet, but a lot smaller than we thought.
Kids facilities were very limited, dog walk is non existant and my van cupboard is better stocked than the shop.
A good site for a couple wanting a break or walkers putting heads down, but not for families.

We were walking along the Spey Side way and the day we arrived at the site was the wettest day I have ever walked in. The reception staff was very friendly and welcoming and pointed to a large area for tents. The camping area was level with loads of space.
The toilets and showers were spotless. There is a laundrette and this was well equipped and not expensive and there was a supply of magazines to read there.
It was such a nice site that we stayed three nights and enjoyed relaxing and were able to get all out clothes washed and dried.
Overall this was a good site and we will return

Been to Scotland many times, as we are looking to move there, but have never been camping, this was the first time.
For a first timer this was a lovely small friendly campsite, the toilets were lovely warm and clean and the showers were hot, there was a hairdryer in the ladies.
Pitches were well spaced and clearly marked the ground was even and well kept, it was very quiet with no noise.
It was a 2 minute drive to Aberlour where we found a chip shop that did nice chip butties and Aberlour itself was very quiet.
We would go back and use this campsite again, it was good value for money.

Had one night here - lovely site - lovely warm toilets! Owners have planted lots of wild flowers in a corridor so it will be interesting to see what birds and insects are attracted. We were the only unit in the pine tree area - it was lovely - I guess it's crowded in summer! We stayed here as we were en route to Aviemore (circuitously!), the thing is I am not sure why you would stay here for a week say - but it's a lovely site.

Improvements to this site over the past couple of years by a couple of jolly new owners are paying off, with a nice little tidy site for both tents and vans. Location is everything, so you may be put off by a 15 minute walk into Aberlour town centre, but it's a pleasant trip through wooded areas. When you get there you'll find a classically Scottish country village mix of a couple of pubs, restaurants and a CoOp supermarket. Quite few village events planned in the year (Aberlour highland games etc) so if you pick the right time you can really enjoy yourself.
Massive mature tall pine trees are planted in an area used by tents and vans / motorhomes, looks great, but watch out for falling fir cones! If you have good eyesight you might notice squirrels furrying about their business. Occasionally in the distance you can hear woodpeckers.
Toilets and showers are kept clean (even smelly soap in them) with hanging baskets outside to improve the looks. Showers are free. Kiddy play area for those of you silly enough to take them with you.
One small point that may need an adjustment is that large tents (no elec) are priced as £15 per night, large tents (with elec) are £15 a night, touring vans inc elec are £15. Seems a bit hard on the large tent with no elec.
A busy site which should be on everyone's list of places to stay when in the area. Good access to the Speyside Way and therefore close to distilleries! Don't forget to ask about the whisky festivals, great for free samples and bargain buys.

23/5/2004 This site is now under new management {as of november 2003}. This is an excellent site and the new owners are very friendly and couldn`t be more helpful. The site is quiet {set in the walled garden of Aberlour House} and very clean and tidy, there is also a childrens play area with swings etc.
