We arrived on 29th June, a day after the massive rainfalls and our pitch was not affected in any way!
A lovely peaceful site, very tidy & well maintained by wardens Trevor and Karen.
Toilet/Shower block is dated but very clean and lots of hot water (if you keep pressing the button!)
We arrived later than we'd hoped approximately 9pm, this was not a problem and Karen was waiting to check us in.
There is a small children's park/play area at the top of the touring park, and, as said before the beach is just across the road.
The pitches here are very reasonably priced and the site is well placed for visiting the lake district.
My only criticism is that the amenity block is not lit up at night. I think the outside lights are on motion sensors, but this is not very assuring as you walk from your van to the block in the pitch dark!
If you like peace and quiet we would definitely recommend this site.

Just spent 5 nights on this lovely and peaceful site. The managers were very helpful kept the site very well maintained and clean. The toilet block was very clean and hot water.
There is a laundry room and plenty of information on where to visit in the surrounding area. Silloth is only 3 miles away and if you like wind surfing Alonby just 5 mins down the coast is ideal. It is literally 5 mins to the beach which is just across the road, our dog loved it.
We can definitely recommend this site and will be staying again in the near future.

A very nice and well maintained site. The wardens were very helpful with parking up and any other queries we had.
Good level hard standings. Electric and water points were close to hand.
The toilets and showers were always immaculately clean when we used them.
All pitches had good space between each other. The grass around the site looked to be well maintained.
The location couldn't be better. A walk across the road and your onto a nice sandy beach. Our 2 dogs loved playing there. 5 minutes drive and you are in Silloth.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather, Even got sunburnt!
For £15. 50 a night off season it is fantastic value.
We will certainly be back.

We stayed at Rowanbank on a weekend Break. What a great location, blessed by sunny days. The Beach is just over the coast Road outside the site. Clear view from both sides allows plenty of time for crossing.
We were welcomed by the site warden (Trevor). He was extremely helpful throughout our stay. His personal attention to our needs will ensure we will stay there again.
Biscuit (our Doggie) was especially impressed as he got the remains of Trevor's 'T'Bone steak.

Stayed here for 3 ights, lovely clean site, toilets spotless, dog friendly and close to the sea.
Site caretakers very helpful and friendly. Lovely pub approx 1. 2 miles away from site called Lowther arms, great home cooked food at reasonable prices, Dawn the landlady very welcoming and friendly, also allows dogs in, all the local people very nice.
Lovely location if you like to fish or walk. Couple of supermarkets approx 2 miles from site.
Small seafront fair at Silloth.
Would definitely stay again at this site.

Stayed here for 2 nights in July, 2 adults 2 kids.
Location 100m from the beach not much else around within walking distance. For pubs, food etc you will have to drive a few miles.
Think the site caters mostly for caravans but the tent pitch we had was excellent, very spacious and sheltered.
Trevor was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome (something that is often lacking when staying on a site)
Shower block, excellent very clean, 4 showers in both gents and ladies, didn't queue once.
Childrens playground isnt very good at all to be honest, needs to be upgraded and more equipment added.
Site felt safe and no problems with inconsiderate campers.
I think this site is primarily aimed at older couples but kids will enjoy the close proximity to the beach.
If the playground was upgraded I would recommend the site for families, until then I would only recommend for couples.

Stayed here for a short break and really liked this site now.The new owners have added a bit of character to this place which was sadly lacking with the previous ones.
Were not at all keen on the previous owners who were far too particular when booking in (they actually measured our caravan to see if it would fit onto a pitch which it would easily have done, so we just left and went elsewhere).
Would recommend this site now to anyone wishing for a peaceful break and be assured of a friendly welcome,by the helpful owners who will do all they can to help, without having to use a tape measure!.

Stayed on the site for a week from 31st may. This was the best site we have used for a long time, the situation was brilliant, location good, the site was superb, well kept, friendly, toilets and showers spotlessly clean even though they are a bit old, but no problem at all, there was unlimited hot water for showers as well as washing up.
Colin and Linda the site wardens were great so helpful and friendly they even organised the weather! Lovely pub overlooking the bay in Allonby about 5 miles away.
Would not hesitate to recommend to all my friends. You will be seeing us again this year. Really good value for money into the bargain

This was our 3rd visit to this site. The site has changed owners over the winter, however the site is as good as ever. The new warden colin is very helpful and friendly. He also, with his wife linda, owns the caravan care shop in silloth. So he's the man to see if you need anything.
The site is well kept and quiet, more suitable for couples than families. However there is a beach across the road with load of space for the kids to burn off any excess energy, or to walk the dog.
We stayed for 4 nights and at £15.50 a night it was good value, the toilets and showers were clean and tidy with plenty of hot water [the showers are free], the dog was also free. We will return soon.

Had an excellent visit with my wife just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Found the site easily on the Siloth / Maryport coast road.
The caravan was clean, tidy and well equipped. The site was nice and quiet and the warden and his wife were both friendly and helpful.
We used this as a base to visit parts of Hadrians Wall which worked well.
Siloth is a friendly, interesting town with wide streets, it is set back from the sea front by a large grassed area ideal for picnics.
We would recommend this site if you are looking for a quiet relaxing break.
