What a lovely quite campsite. The owner was so friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to stay there.
It has 2 toilets which were clean and a drinking water tap but as we only stayed 1 night that was enough for us. The owner explained she keeps it basic to keep the price down. Which is good.
We pitched at the top left hand corner of the field only to find out later that is where the chemical toilet disposal point is, so steer clear of that corner if your in a tent.
You have to leave a good space between you and the next tent and not pitch in the middle so the children can play which is good.
Yes you can hear the faint hum of the m42 but it doesn't disturb if anything it lulled me to sleep.
It was a really lovely site and I definitely want to go back to explore the lovely area some more

This is a lovely but basic site, has no showers and only minimal amenities.
The owners are lovely, really helpful.
We found that the motorway was very loud at night as we were at the far end of field where the noise was much worse.
We had a nice day out at the nearby Kingsbury water park, watching the jet skis and the big man in the little train.
The highlight is being able to sit beside the river, Betty had a swim, but then she is mad!

A lovely quite place to camp. Very
Friendly/helpful owner and cheep.
I stopped here for 2.5 weeks whilst visiting my wifes family and both our friends. I will be using this campsite next year as it was cheap and ideally located close to Birmingham for use.
It only has basic amenities like toilets but that was not a problem. It was so peaceful it was lovely and you had a faint rumbling from the near by m42.

Great owners who couldn't be more helpful. This is a really cheap site to stay at and the facilities are basic although clean.
If you are looking for something fancy this site would not be for you. If you are touring on a budget we would highly recommend this site.
Value for money.

It was our first trip with our daughter and her family. They had a 6 man tent. We wanted to be together, this was a birthday treat for our grandson along with a trip to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. I must confess this felt like a little bit of paradise that I really shouldn't share or everyone will want to go. The owner Margerite couldn't have been any nicer. She was most apologetic about the lack of facilities but the views and tranquillity were everything. First class hospitality We will definitely be returning

We have just got back from 2 nights at this site and would definitely use it again. £5 for each night. The facilities are very basic but expected for the price . The first night the owners let a young couple stay which then turned into a party of 6 with lots of noise, drinking, etc till 3am. The owners could not apologise enough, told the party to pack up and leave and said they would not be letting any other young couples on again. The pub at the end of the road we didn't get a chance to visit, at first we thought it had shut down but there were new management signs up and the grass workmen seemed to be in the process of tidying up, we look forward to trying it next time.

My party of 8 (4 adults , 4 children) in 2 tents stayed here for 2 nights while going to Drayon Manor for the weekend. It's very basic but was really quiet and cheap, we only payed £12 a night for all of us. We would stay here again if going to Drayton Manor.

It is a very basic site - but also very cheap! There's a tap and a toilet, but nothing else. The owners were very friendly and obliging, and very apologetic for the road noise - they were there before the road was! We weren't sure whether we'd be staying for an extra night, but there was no pressure for us to decide in advance - we dropped the extra money round when we left. As we were only camping nearby to go to Drayton Manor park - the lack of facilities wasn't a problem and the price made it a very attractive option. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back.

We camped here for 2 nights. Facilities are very basic. There is a toilet and a basin with cold water in one of the outbuildings. There is an Elsan point at the end of the main field. There are facilities for touring caravan storage. We were charged £3.50 a night for a tent pitch. The owners were pleasant and friendly.
The main field does not have views of the river Tame but there are pitches to the side of the house where it is possible to see the river through the trees. The site is close to the M41 and the noise is pretty constant, though not overwhelming. The pitches were level and the facilities were clean. There are two free-standing trees towards the end of the main field, you probably don't want to pitch your tent under the pear tree :-)
There is what looked like a decent pub/restaurant with outdoor play area a short walk away at the end of the lane.
This site is very convenient for Drayton Manor Theme Park and possibly offers more security than the site there as it is not on open view to a few million tourists.

We ended up at the site as we couldn't get in to any of the nearby sites and as we have family in the area, we needed to be fairly close by. But what a little gem! The view across the Tame is beautiful. The owners were friendly and as it is VERY basic the price was perfect. (£3.50 a night for our whole party! 2A 1C 2 U5's) . The site is half way between Kingsbury and Two Gates, down a small lane, opposite the Malt House pub. I mention this as my sat nav couldn't find it and I relied heavily on local knowledge. Once through the blue gates, turn left for the campsite and straight on for the owners bungalow and toilet. The site has only 1 loo and a sink, which is quite and adventure to find! There is a chemi loo waste disposal at the far side of the field. I guess it's more of a caravan site but if you don't mind roughing it a little, it's cool for camping too. The field was flat, so no sleeping on a slope, and you could pitch wherever you liked. The water point is at the entrance to the field. Apart from the distant motorway noise, it is very quiet. My only concern was the river; Whilst my 2 youngest tend to stay close by being 4 and 3yrs old, the 12yr old, who has a passion for exploring, got down to the river very easily and it is fast flowing and deep. Luckily she has some common sense and stayed out of it. Last of all, I feel compelled to say what a fantastic part of the country to stay in. We went to visit my Grandma and as far as I was concerned that would be about all we would do. How wrong was I? Tamworth Snow dome has loads to do and has a swimming pool (essential as there's no shower!). The shops are worth a wander if that's what you like to do. Conkers (www.visitconkers.com) is FAB. I would recommend it to anyone, but especially if you have 7-16 yr olds. On top of all that there was loads of stuff, Drayton Manor, Tamworth castle grounds etc we didn't even get to. My children have decided that Great Grandma will be needing another visit about half term ish!
