Lovely site, and have stayed on here many times, especially if you have children.
Pitches circle the play area so you can always be happy that they are within sight and sound.
Showers and facilities are great as well, clean heated and modern.
Small shop on site for essentials and a Spar about a five minute walk. Friendly pub about a five minute walk away as well.
Site positioned well for the beach, but if you don't fancy the walk you can take your car.
Must admit, we stay on there because our best friends have a static, but it is ok, everything you need really. Might not be your cup of tea if you want a relaxing quiet holiday.
We will be staying again, well as long as our friends have the static there.

Lovely clean small site, the caravan was the cleanest I have ever stayed in much better then you normally get with a Bronze caravan. Beds were made up on arrival and complimentary tea and coffee in case you haven't brought your own.
Owners very friendly - small shop on site for basic needs but Spar was in walking distance if you need anything. Also within walking distance to the beach, a Fish and chip shop and pub. Play park for younger children and recycling facilities.
Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again - loads to do in the surrounding area: Castles, beaches, steam trains, walking to name a few. The town of Porthmadog only 2 1/2 miles away which has numerous takeaway's and a supermarket - however be warned it gets busy in the summer.

What can I say??? We stayed for the one week in the season where it rained every day! Still, the site was immaculate at all times, the children were happy playing in the rain, and the site rules meant they were also safe! The people who run the site were lovely, they lent the children books and dvds and when the rain came down heavy, we just had a few more children than the ones we took, all watching children's movies. It was lovely, they made us so welcome and relaxed. Will definitely return soon! Cannot say how well this site is run, nothing too much trouble, and any little problem is attended to immediately. Thank you

Returned to this site again after visiting once before last year. This is a superb site for children as the touring pitches are situated next to the excellent playing area which my two children 6 and 3 think is great and us as parents too as we can sit outside the caravan watching them. The shower and toilet blocks are always clean and tidy and the beach only a short walk away. There is also a pub within walking distance that we only found out about this time round. Visited the Leisure Centre in Porthmadog town this time around. Lovely pool a smaller one for children which was nice and warm and a larger pool for the adults. Definitely will be returning.

Lovely site. Very welcoming helpful and friendly. Our first time with our van and they helped put the van on the concrete. We got in a muddle with our awning, and the two men showed us how to put it up. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our two boys loved the footie bit on the play area. Toilets and showers are lovely and clean. The beach is not far away and we could take the car with the picnic and chairs and stay all day. The shop is small but cheaper than Spar in village for milk. Office ladies were chatty and good with any questions we had. We will be back.

I will try to make this review as fair as possible but I am afraid there are a lot of negatives on this park. We have over 30 years of caravan and camping experience.
The park in general is kept to quite a high standard and I will say very clean, the touring pitches are very poor locations with very little privacy. They are adjacent to a very well equipped play ground area.
The toilet and shower areas are to quite a high standard. Prices are above average but it is in a good location for the beach a 15mins walk. Also on site is a small shop and prices are over the odds, but today we left his site and this is probably the first time we have done this in 30 years. The present management at this moment of time leave an ambiance in the air which does not make it a holiday environment.

Sorry to sound so negative but we didn't have a great experience here and we will not be returning.
We arrived and were directed to our pitch - about 3 foot away from the play area (to be fair all the touring pitches are poorly situated, all surrounding the play area. Kids were in and out of our awning the whole time to look for my dog! drove me mad!)
Then the owner came out and told us we had pitched up too far back so we had to put the legs back up and move 6inches forwards
We were pitched right on the junction and the next morning a knock came on the door informing us that we were driving the wrong way round on the one way system - so we had to drive all the way round the park to get out.
The next morning I woke up to find the owner peering through my awning window - she said she was checking if we had anyone sleeping in the awning as this wasn't allowed! She was often seen watching through her window at us - not at all private really spoiled the holiday.
The last morning at 11.05 we were in the process of reversing to hitch up and over she came again, telling us we had to be off by 11 - clearly it was obvious we were leaving.
Good points - fantastic location with a shortcut from the site down to the beach, and a nice circular walk bypassing a great pub :)
The ladies showers and toilets had just been refurbished and was just like a proper home bathroom with a good hot powerful shower.
A shop selling basics
Due to the bank holiday they had rented inflatables for the kids to use - nice touch
Really lovely playground for kids and if you have young children these pitches could be great as they will never be out of sight!
Average prices for this type of site
Bad points
Too many silly rules - no sleeping in the awning, no windbreaks etc
Far too intrusive - no privacy whatsoever

July 2005 Weekend visit 15,16 and 17 July.
Group of ten adults camping in five tents. First off what great weather 28C+ so that made any campsite seem briliant. The site covers a large grassed area with static caravans forming the outer circle. We were simply told to go and find our own 'plots' we had arrived early (1230) so we could pick a good clear area. The site filled up quickly in the late afternoon.
OK small shop bar and cafe (good meals served, all cooked fresh too)
The shower/toilet block is also small but was kept clean. They did get dirty towards the end of the day though. Toilet paper is provided as is free hot water, showers are OK and do the job.
Best part of this site is just how close it is to Black Rock beach, just walk over the dune and there is one mass of sand. Heck if you want you can even drive your car onto it.
So will we go back? Yes

June 2005 Site seems to be becoming more and more static caravan based. Tourers are very cramped. We were straight opposite the shop and backing onto a hectic childrens play area - possibly one of the worst positions to be in. We found the owners not particularly friendly and a bit too intrusive for my liking. Just didn't feel you could relax here.
