We have just spent a week at this park. We booked quite late about a week in advance. Very helpful on the phone and information pack arrived quickly and we were given loads of useful information about I the area when we checked in and we were then shown to our pitch.
Great location and very well run park with an army of friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome.
We camped in the tent field with electric hook up close to the kids play area which our 3 and 4 year old kids loved as did all the other kids who used it too. The play area is covered by a very soft layer of crushed rubber which is great if they fall but after a while the kids and their clothes can resemble chimney sweeps! This is next to the conservatory bar which is handy and serves good beers!
Our plot was very large and in an immaculate condition and the tent field is huge and has lots of space for ball games or kite flying.
The shower block and the washing up facility Is a little walk away but is kept very clean and is modern. The clubhouse is being refurbished so there are temporary WCs next to the bar which are also kept very clean and are very convenient for the tent field.
Wifi is being introduced to the site shortly although I was quite happy to away from the Internet for once.
The shop is small but has everything you need with Tesco in Padtow only minutes away.
The location of the site is excellent with Padstow and so many great beaches nearby - we visited Harlyn Bay and Mawgan Porth Beaches whilst we were there which were both great but Harlyn was our favourite. However we took a boat trip from Padstow our to Puffin Island and saw some beautiful deserted beached north of Padstow which the boat's captain told us were accessible by car so we will explore next time we in the area. We went out on the Jubilee Queen on a beautiful sunny day and recommend it.
Padstow is Padstow but we used the park and ride That is located just before Tesco on the way into the town as its much easier than trying to navigate the crowds looking for an elusive space in the town itself. It runs every 10 mins with the last return at 6pm though the walk back is only about 10 to 15 minutes.
All in all a very good site with great people running it and hopefully it will go from strength to strength in the future.

Used this site as a one night stop off between home in Devon & St Ives.
Site was very quiet, only a few pitches in use. First impression is site looks 'new', well laid out, clean & tidy with plenty of signs.
Warm welcome from reception, shown to our pitch personally. Pitches are level and quite large.
This site should win awards for the cleanliness of it's toilets and showers - they are by far the cleanest facilities I've encountered in 7 years of touring! Modern block with plenty of loos & showers and even on our 1 night stop off we saw the cleaner there three times with her mop and bucket ~ I should think she really took pride in her work.
We can't comment on any other aspect of the site as we weren't there long enough, but it suited our needs perfectly.

Stayed here last week for 4 nights with 3 other families who had not camped before. The staff are very friendly and Rodney was most helpful with our electric hook up.
All the facilities were exceptionally clean and modern. We stayed on a large field which had plenty of room for the children to play and not upset anyone. The beaches are close and St Merryn is not far to drive. The take away guy is handy if you don't fancy cooking.
Overall a very well run and friendly campsite.
May try and get there again before the seasons over weather depending.
Would definitely recommend this campsite

I booked this site at the last minute as there was limited availability at other places. On arrival we were greeted by pleasant staff and shown to our pitch. The site was well cared for with hard standing, mown grass and electric points.
The new toilet/shower/washing up block was excellent and spotlessly clean.
St Merryn village has good food outlets. Lovely beaches & Padstow a short drive away.
Now for the bad bits:
1) traffic noise was very loud & disturbing in the morning.
2)teenagers riding bikes on the site after dark, shouting loudly & I had young children trying to sleep
3) dogs tied outside caravans barking late at night & at 7am ! dog mess outside our caravan & we left our dogs at home ! I complained but nothing was done so I complained again when we left. In fairness the manageress did then give us a refund.
4)Playground very tired - nothing for my 8 & 11yo to play on.
5)take-away not open in the evenings so had to go to great chippy in St Merryn
6)Ragwort (fatal to animals) growing on site.
We only intended to stay 3 nights, pleased it was no longer. Not one of our preferred sites, will probably choose somewhere else next time.

We stayed in a tourer both in June and July. Our family also had a tent and one of the Lodges. We all had a fantastic time. We have never been anywhere as friendly and accommodating, the staff and owners were fantastic.
It is a lovely site, very clean and well looked after. The toilet blocks are kept very clean. (the showers could do with being a bit more powerful but are lovely and warm all the time).
It is situated very well only a short drive from St Merryn and Padstow and close to some brilliant beaches - Treyarnon and Trevone were our favourite. We would certainly recommend the site to everyone and will hopefully be going back next year!

Great site, We arrived an hour early at 10am and was allowed to pitch. The welcome was very pleasant and were shown to our pitch and advised on the best position to pitch our tent. The advice from Bonnie was invaluable, as on night we had a huge storm and due to the tent position we stayed very dry. The tent field is also very large and we didn't feel cramped at all, there is plenty of space to play games.
Kids play area is great even our 13 year old enjoyed it.
The toilet and shower block is a little walk away but temporary toilets were available both were spotless.
The conservatory bar was ok, but the beer was kept to a very high standard.
Even the little takeaway van was very, very good, especially the breakfast rolls.
To be honest once the site has completed the main bar area the site would be absolutely perfect. Will definitely be going again and I would advise any to book and enjoy this beautiful site.
Villages nearby are St Merryn, this has a great chippy and the beach at Treyarron Bay is only 10 min drive away, Great sandy beach with toilets and a good sized car park, also has great natural rock pools, this well worth the visit.

We had a wonderful stay here with some friends & their children.
Our friends are from the area but love to Camp and we come from far away but also love to get away in our motorhome so this site was ideal.
Very very peaceful & close to lost of tourist attractions & restaurants, which we made plenty good use of. The on site bar is also very nice.
The price for the camping was a little more expensive than we are used to around where we live but I guess we were in Padstow which was so beautiful, its no wonder why the prices are higher.
The toilets were kept clean by the lovely staff & we found our stay very pleasurable indeed. Will return summer 2012 with the same group of friends.

Thank you to the staff at Atlantic bay for making our first camping holiday one to remember, friendly, helpful and cheerful are just a few words to describe all of the staff that I had the pleasure to meet.
When we arrived we were given a welcome pack with lots of information about the site and the local area. We were taken to our pitch which was flat and large with absolutely wonderful views.
The toilet blocks and washing up areas all spotless and clean. The shop had a good selection of products which were NOT over priced
The bar and the games room was a perfect place for us all to relax after long fun packed day out, I have two sons aged 10 and 7 and they both give the games room and the outdoor play area a big thumbs up! They enjoyed the space to play ball games and explore, as a parent I had the peace of mind that the children were safe and secure on this site.
Im already looking forward to going back next year

We spent a lovely weekend at Atlantic Bays. The welcome is second to non, the wardens are so helpful. The new toilet and shower block are very clean. There is a play park for the children to play in, I would take my grandchildren here. There is an on site pub, which is good, with an arcade for you to spend some money or keep the children amused. I would have no hesitation in recommending this campsite to anyone. When we go to Padstow again we will always stay at this campsite. Well done to all of the staff that run it. Hope you have a good season.

We stayed here for three nights in August. Newly developed camp site with very generous pitches. Like the previous review the pitches are very flat and the toilets and showers are spotless.
Great children's play area which if you are having a drink in the conservatory, you can watch your children playing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble.
When you arrive you are given a pack of information leaflets for different activities around Cornwall and discount vouchers to some of these. Padstow is only down the road and worth a visit and so is Port Isaac were Doc Martin is filmed.
If you are going to Cornwall and need a place to stay I can highly recommend this site, we will be visiting again next year. 10 out of 10.
