Visited this Parkdean site in May 2015.

As previous reviews stated, the site is heavily tailored towards statics with only a dozen or so tourer spots crammed in a patch of grass at the side of the playground. However, it didn't get particularly noisy even during the day and by 7-8PM it was quite.

It has got electric hookups and water, along with a toilet/shower block but the toilet/shower facilities are pretty limited with only one shower for each gender.

Other than the space and shower issues, the site is great especially for families - the entertainment, pool & restaurant are good and the beach which is a minute or so walk is fantastic; great, clean sand which the kids will love.

Just back from 4 nights at this site. Great location very close to superb beach and town centre with loads of restaurants and takeaways. Touring pitches are very close together with little or no space between you and your neighbour. One shower in gents one in ladies all shared among 10 touring pitches and 3 tent pitches, not enough.

Parkdean should either vastly improve what could be a fantastic site, or demolish the touring part all together and put in another couple of 46,000 pound holiday homes. The touring area appears to be an after thought.

Staff were good at what they done however the touring area lets this site down. All this topped off with some drunken ned from the town or the expensive statics causing mayhem at 3 am on the last night put us off a bit. Would only return due to the location.

We went to nairn because we had been to other campsites run by same. Company. The site is more geared towards statics.

The touring park is near kids park and just an after thought. Really squashed together hardly room for awning and if your neighbour has dogs forget peace.

Toilets and showers not the greatest. But if you can get past that the camp is nice. Entertainment typical holiday camp.

The staff were alwayss pleasant. Lovely beach near by and plenty activities to see and do. Even an old fashioned paddling pool.

I was transported back to the seventies. If you use as a base and can forget about it, s imperfections then you can have a good holiday. Swimming pool not very big but clean.

I must say I really enjoyed my time up in Nairn. I was in my mums friends caravan for 7 days. Pubs nice went to Nairn cafe yesterday for a bite to eat.

Attractions are great especially for the younger ones. Never used the toilets but where found in a clean condition last time I was staying.

Shops okay on high street could do with more cafes and restaurants and more shops like HMV and maybe game. Site location great, stunning views of east beach.

The staff I have met are really friendly and polite towards the people who stay. Very good service restaurant great drifters good.

Very well kept site. Mostly static vans. 10 tourer pitches and 3 tent pitches. Situated very close to toilets, chemical waste, dish washing facilities, laundry, swimming pool, reception, Club-house/ restaurant, chip shop and very well stocked shop.

Found toilets to be clean. Only 2 cubicles - one toilet, the other contained toilet, shower and bath. Appeared to be adequate, given small number of pitches available.

5 mins walk to town centre, where there is a small variety of shops. Site is next to very long, lovely sandy beach. Good play area for children.

Very reasonably priced for tourers, especially if you use swimming pool etc, which is included in cost. Would advise booking pitch.

Visiting Nairn for their annual Book Festival - recommend a visit!

We chose this site as it was easy walking into Nairn. Very much a static site with only 10 places for tourers and 3 for campers. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and all site's entertainment and recreational facilities are free for tourers and campers as well as those in the statics. Pitches adequate in size all with hookup.

However, on the down side the toilet and washing facilities for the tourers and campers are very limited. There is one over-bath shower for each sex and two toilets (one if the bath/shower room in use). Although there were a number of maintenance staff always around the statics, there was no sign of any cleaning of the touring facilities over the 3 nights we were there. Bins were unemptied, floors dirty and sinks and toilet bowls dirty. The same goes for the chemical disposal which had bits of toilet paper stuck to the guard.

This is a shame as it is a good location in a lovely part of the country, but the touring/camping side of things appears to be well down the list of priorities.

Spent 2 nights in tent for a short Easter break.

Tent area has space for only three tents. It's next too one of the access roads through the park so some traffic noise, this is drowned out by the noisy guls. Toilet block about 5m from tents.

Lovely beach close by,centre and pool good.

Short walk to nairn. Cheap site but will not return here in a tent.

We booked for a week and managed a painful 3 nights. What they don't tell you is the tent pitches are on a public road, we had steam rollers and trucks full of hardcore passing our tents front door constantly.

We didn't know it was a public road until we asked for our money back, but a member of staff did tell us they have a problem with thieves and that was the reason for not having a cash machine anymore

Toilet facilities are beyond belief - no hot water in the Ladies, shower ran constantly - I reported the waste of water and they said 'it's been like that for years and can't be fixed!'

Only 1 toilet each and between 9 and 10am they were being cleaned - so you couldn't use them!

Nairn is O.K. A nice Mexican and Chinese restaurant in town and in walking distance.

We normally BBQ, but we just needed to get away from the noise!

Pool good for the children, although only an hour at a time and only so many allowed in, so lots of disappointment there.

Park Fab.

Food in Bar and Restaurant awful, just don't bother.

Beach is lovely, very close and peaceful.

Where to start? We booked for a 3 night weekend break through hoseasons (park is own and run by parkdean) and stayed in a 'lismore' static van. On arrival at the park we got parked right outside reception and were booked in very quickly.

Welcome pack was basic but had everything in it we needed. Our van was about a 5 minute stroll from the entertainment complex which was not the biggest but was just the right size for the park. There is a pool with spa, shop, lounge bar, games room and restaurant, also free wifi. Kids clubs were good as was night time entertainment. There is a good little playpark right next to the complex that all the kids loved (aged 3 to 15).

The park is right next to the harbour in Nairn and has direct access to the beach.

Inverness was 20 minutes away and has a huge tesco for any shopping you need, Nairn is best discribed as quiet. There is a somerfield and a few other basic shops, OK for a walk around but that's about it (town centre is just a 5 minute walk from the park) There are plenty take aways in the high street including Chinese, chippy and kebabs.

Lots of stuff to do in the area Drumnadrochit (loch ness) is a hour or so drive away as is the black isle. Heading east there is Elgin which has a wide variety of shops and things to do. Further on (2 hours or so from the park) there is Macduff marine aquarium. This is a small but excellent aquarium very well run and well worth a visit, also Pennan is nearby (this is where the famous telephone box from the film local hero is) Dotted along the coast are some fantastic beaches, Sandend is the best in my opinion.

All in all there is something to do for young or old in the area and the park has everything you could ask for though I would say a week is probably long enough at this park.

Cant give anything a 10/10 as there is always room for improvement somewhere but a solid overall 8/10

This site is mainly statics, 100`s of them, the facilities for tourers, motorhomes and tents can only be described as poor.

There is only one toilet for each sex and they are sadly lacking, one over bath shower in each, first 2 days we were there they were freezing, baths were scummy, not nice.

On site facilities were reasonable pool for the kids, but they could only stop in for an hour before they had to get out.

The local area is outstanding, we enjoyed the dolphin trip from Nairn harbour, the captain was really friendly and let the kids have a go sailing the boat, Inverness is about 30 minutes away and easily eats a day up.
