Friendly reception, very tidy & clean site.
Super location and only 5 minute walk into Pateley Bridge which is a lovely village.
Great pie shop.
Visited a small, family run Whiskey & Gin distillery just 5 mins drive away for tour & tasting, very good.
We would certainly return to Riverside in the future.

Once again a lovely warm welcome from the owners.
As last time we stayed here the site is nicely laid out and well maintained.
The toilets are clean and tidy.
The location is good for dog owners being next to the park and alongside the river with lovely walks.
The town is an easy walk and has all the shops and cafes you could need.

Me and my wife stayed two nights and I must say it was one of the best sites we have been to,
Clean friendly and ideally situated for walks and close to village

Convenient location, clean and spacious facilities, helpful and friendly managers.
We were 2 retired couples walking a combined Nidderdale Way/Six Dales Trail: centre of which is Pateley Bridge. 5 minute pleasant walk into town with essential shops, great butcher's, chocolate shop, oldest sweetshop, good local museum etc. Even a comprehensive genealogy shop. All services helpful and friendly.
We stayed 17 nights April - May 2022 for leisurely walk distances and sight-seeing. Bathroom facilities spotless and regularly cleaned, most spacious loos and showers I've ever seen in 45 years' camping. Nice touches were fresh flowers regularly changed.
Only slight problem for me was I damaged my knee and could barely walk, let alone get up the outside steps to the washrooms on 1st floor above office and laundry/tourist info. My husband also found the showers too hot (I didn't). The managers immediately gave us access to the family/accessible bathrooms on the ground floor where I could avoid steps and husband the hot water.
The park was clean and attractive, the pitches comfortably distanced. Many seasonals suggested its popularity. Part of the park is given over to static caravans, but there was never any undue noise. Lovely part of Yorkshire too, plenty of attractions.
Since I missed 1.5 days of the long distance walk I'd organised, we shall definitely return to Riverside not only to complete those missed days, but to further enjoy the area and the pleasant camping experience.

Excellent site in a beautiful location, surrounded by walks and Pateley Bridge a pleasant 5 minute stroll away with its independent shops and cafes.
The area is also steeped in history with some buildings going back to the 17th century.
There are a couple of dog friendly pubs within easy walking distance of each other and both serve food.
All in all a site that is worth visiting again and again.

It was our first visit to Riverside Campsite Pateley Bridge. We had booked for 4 nights but enjoyed our visit so much, we were lucky enough to be able to stay one more night.
The managers run the site very well and are very helpful.
It is a nice quiet site, within walking distance of the town. Also has lovely country walks very close too.
We would definitely like to return. X

Now this is not our usual campsite - we're more 'wild' than 'park'. However, I must say this is a cracking site.
Well maintained - spotlessly clean facilities and very friendly wardens.
Great walking from the site - so you don't really need to drive out anywhere. Only 5 minutes walk into the town with a good choice of shops and places to eat. There's also a lovely pub (The Bridge Inn) 10 mins walk up the river which does AMAZING steak!
We'll be back!

Great site right on the edge of the small historic town which is a short walk across park and play area on Riverside path.
Flat well laid out pitches, nice clean toilets, but note they are up a flight of steps above the office.
There are two family/accessible bathrooms on the ground floor for these you need the code from the helpful wardens.
Bit of road noise and no view of the river from on the site otherwise would be full maximum stars for me.
