This is a truly lovely campsite. I have just returned from a 5 night stay with my son at this site and we both had a lovely time. If I was returning to Guernsey I absolutely would stay at this site again.

I have camped at many camp sites and always try to steer clear of the busy 'holiday camp' type campsites, and I loved this campsite.

It has recently been refurbished and the facilities are excellent, and were always kept very clean and tidy. It has a lovely feel to the site with a nice mix of being a beautiful, spacious site with modern and practical facilities based around the refurbished barn area.

The area around the barn makes for a very relaxed atmosphere complete with boules area and table and chairs for enjoying coffee and croissants, as well as a lovely garden play area for the children.

We stayed in a hire tent and were very impressed with the level the tent was kitted out to, complete with fridge which makes everything so much easier. It made for a very hassle free camping trip.

The owners were lovely and always very friendly and helpful and made me and my son feel very welcome.

I will definitely stay at site again on my return to Guernsey.

We (family of 6) stayed here for 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. It is almost a hidden secret - considering how nice the site is, it is amazing it is not so much busier. The pitch sizes are generous (most space we have had so far in many years of camping). Facilities are clean and well maintained. The proof of the pudding is that so many of the people staying there return year after year. We will definitely go back soon. You are never far from anywhere in Guernsey, so this is an ideal site for families just holidaying, or walkers / cyclists that need a base to tour the island / islands. The nearest beach is great and within 30 minutes you have loads more great choices. The fishmongers on the harbour is well worth a visit for fish for BBQ and great value too. Make sure you follow their advice and book your ferry through the link they provide, it will save you money. The facilities are as we like them, simple but clean. The only thing that would have been helpful is a freezer to chill freezer blocks as we don't hook up, that said ice is available from the Co-op that is an 8 minute drive.

Spent a lovely week at this site last year. Looked nice even in the pouring rain that we arrived in. Clean, spacious and well positioned for cycle rides. Friendly, helpful owner and a nice veranda area alongside a café that sits above wash block. Supermarket at end of road as is a bus stop (but don't rely too much on timetable). Recommended for touring or beach holiday.

A wonderful relaxing 10 days camping. The owners are friendly and helpful. The site is split into smaller fields with lots of shelter from winds, we had a small field all to ourselves for the duration of our stay. This has been our best camping experience to date. There is on site free wifi, and always hot water, showers etc in a newly refurbished block. Within 5mins walk is a an alliance cash and carry for shopping needs. The island has some beautiful beaches. Will aim to return in the not to distant future.

We have just returned from our annual holiday at la bailloterie, I can honestly say we really liked our break with the owners who helped to make our stay on the camp site as nice as possible,

I really enjoyed the relaxing environment, also they were very helpful with local knowledge which made our stay even more enjoyable, we stayed in the royal enclosure a well kept camping field,

I must say that the field was well presented and kept well mown, it was also enjoyable to meet the other campers who were a friendly group of people,

Availability of shops local to the site are quite handy a superstore within a five minute walk, then st. Sampson by foot approx 25 mins walk or a five minute drive,

We are already looking at returning next year I would like to thank all involved at la bailloterie for making our holiday so pleasurable

This was our 3rd stay at this campsite on Guernsey and it didn't disappoint. We we a little worried about the weather before our trip but the ground was dry when we arrived and with plenty of space to pitch the ground wore well. We were hoping that the building work would have been finished before our visit but it wasn't to be. There were still plenty of showers to use so we never had to wait for one. Our visit was at the same time as the Olympics and the owners of the side had laid on a gazebo with a big TV and a fridge for us all. The campsite owners and managers are always warm and welcoming. We are looking forward to the new facilities for our 2013 visit. I just hope they don't move the special 'free Wi-Fi' bench with the alterations.

We stayed here at the end of August, start of September in some very windy weather. We were amazed we could choose our pitch, especially as we had opted for EHU, so selected the pitch we thought would be the most sheltered. The site is divided into a number of small fields, some of the larger fields also have dividing hedges to help shelter the tent. There was plenty of room for the kids to play, and there was also a small playground beside the toilets.

The staff were all very friendly, one lady offered to put our laundry in the tumble drier so we could go out and enjoy the day rather than waiting around. There is a games and separate TV room, plenty of beach spades/buckets to borrow, laundry facilities. There is also a baby bath in the laundry room - which is ideal as it is lovely and warm in there. They do a weekly bbq, but it was cancelled because of the weather! One set of campers we spoke to have been returning for almost 20 years.

The showers are free and the water was very hot, there did seem to be an intermittent problem with the water pressure. But another camper suggested turning on all the showers, and this did seem to solve the problem! The walls and ceiling of the showers looked like they needed a good scrub, but the floor and showers themselves were very clean so possibly this was because it was the end of season.

There was a supermarket just down the lane which was very handy. The beaches were a 20 minute walk, but we tended to drive. The roads are a bit narrow however cars are allowed to use the pavements, so beware if you have kids! There was plenty to do - the kids particularly enjoyed making candles. I would certainly return.

We have returned from La Bailloterie. The staff were friendly showed us around the site and also the facilities. The on site shop was badly stocked. They seemed to have only one item to choose from. E. G. We ran out of matches and when we went to the shop they had no more matches, but they gave us a box with 3 remaining matches, free of charge. A word of warning if you need bread you will need to place an order in advance. We found a nice supermarket as you make your way to St Sampson Bridge, the shop is called Island Shopper.

Back to the site, our tent was fully equipped, a 2 ring gas cooker with grill, fridge, and cutlery. Only one moan, there was a 10ltr bottle which was suppose to be for you to put fresh water into had mould inside.

Just returned from our first visit to Guernsey and La Bailloterie. Would thoroughly recommend the site and island, we particularly appreciated the peaceful nature of the site, very rare to be able to have a lie in on a busy campsite but this was achieved each morning! Subtle comments on the noticeboard and recycling bins emphasise the 'quiet' message and this was respected by fellow campers. The site is laid out over a few smallish fields and there's a mixture of private and eqipped tents so something to suit everyone. The facilities were clean and well maintained (plenty of free showers and hot water), the site shop provided the essentials, as well as fresh bread and food in the evenings, the site is also 5 minutes walk from a well stocked supermarket. Although there's not really a 'walking distance' pub, we appreciated the opportunity to switch off back at the tent, enjoy the sunshine (some evenings) and relax with a local beer/cider (Rocquette!) - very easy to do on this site with it's laid back and relaxed approach. We enjoyed some of the nearby west coast beaches (as did our border collie) although loved the rockier south coast - we walked a section of the spectacular coastline each day and covered the whole lot in a week, from St Peter Port to Portelet. We also enjoyed our trips to Herm and Sark, all the islands had a very different feel and are certainly worth exploring. We filled our days easily, visited some interesting places and ate out in numerous great pubs and restaurants - we look forward to visiting the Channel Islands again in the not too distant future!

We stayed at La Bailotterie campsite for a fortnight and loved every second - even when the weather wasn't so good. Carol and Richard were fantatic hosts (and Richard's guitar playing/singing at the Wednesday night Bar BQ and boules nights has left a lasting impression on our youngest son!) This campsite is 'proper' camping with a little luxury added in. The showers and toilets have been recently refurbished and are spotless. The shop is small but well stocked with everything campers (and their children!) might need! The shop has a small kitchen at the back, and we enjoyed cream teas and hot food there on more than one occassion.

There are all the essential facilities, washing machines, freezers, washing up under cover, telephone, baby bath (!)

We stayed in one of the campsite's own tents, it had 'proper' beds and everything we needed for a very easy camping experience. The campsite itself allowed us our own space, so we weren't too close to the neighbours.

Surrounded by trees and tucked away up a quiet lane, this site was a perfect and safe haven for us and our small children. We felt able to let them go with other children on the site to the games room, playground or t.V room without us (luxury!)

The beaches are only a short drive/cycle away and were the safest beaches we'd ever taken our children too.

With very close friends living on the Island, we are already huge fans of Guernsey, and La Bailotterie just makes our visits even more fantastic. We cannot recommend it enough.
