Juliot's Well took our booking at fairly short notice, and was fairly cheap when compared to other sites. It represented fair value for money.
The touring pitches are on a terraced field on a hillside. It is quite exposed, and was windswept throughout our stay. A couple of gazebos and an awning were damaged in the wind. The bottom of the field was damp, and fairly muddy. There are electric hook-ups available, though there were a few power cuts during our stay
The toilet block is a long walk from the touring field (100 metres to the nearest pitch). It is well placed for the statics and chalets.
Toilets were basic. The block was in need of renovation and indeed a sign said that this was planned. Showers are free. The bath house was handy, but expensive at £2.00 per bath. Hot water in here was on a timer operated by tokens. These gave a very short time to fill the bath.
There is a nice, heated outdoor pool with a sun terrace. There is a small shop selling essentials, this was in the process of being extended. A games room is provided with a variety of coin operated amusements, as well as a small children's play area, this is just outside the restaurant windows. There is also a tennis court.
The pub was OK, with entertainment a couple of times a week, but the restaurant was seriously understaffed, taking 1 1/2 hours to serve basic pub food out of the deep fryer. This appeared normal, even on quiet nights.
The laundry was token operated and very expensive and again appeared run down, as do many of the site facilities.
The local area is really good, with good links to major roads to all North Cornwall attractions. Nearest beach is about 4 miles away. Camelford is about one mile walk.

We have just returned from Juliots Well Holiday Park, and had a very pleasant four days. The views over the valley were wonderful. The pitches were large, two toilet/shower blocks, kept very clean, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, games room for children, and of course the coach house pub, with entertainment on wednesday and friday night whilst we were there. My only grumble, was the distance I had to walk from our pitch to the shower/toilet block. But other than that it was a great break!

We had a very enjoyable week at St Juliots Well. The site was very well presented and the facilities were clean and well-kept.
The showers use tokens which cost 25p each and are available from the shop/reception (open from 9 - 5). The excellent bathrooms use £2 tokens but are well worth the extra!
The camping field was located well away from the clubhouse and so was generally pretty quiet, whereas the statics (or stucks as my son calls them) nearer to the club did have various groups of children running around them during the evening. I know kids do this and we don't have a problem with it, but some people prefer peace and quiet.
The restaurant food was lovely but on busy nights be prepared to wait. And wait.

Pre-booked pitch was too small despite pre-warning that we had a large tent. The allocated pitches were in long narrow rows (like terrace houses). We moved to a central area (didn't need EHU) which was much better, space for a picnic table and kids to run around in. Returned one night to find a tent pitched in our car park space, with intertwining guy lines. Not the fault of the family but we were woken every morning as if we were all in the same tent. Tennis courts looked well maintained. Pool was small and gets very busy. The site in on top of a hill giving great scenery, but its also right in the middle of a wind farm so it gets windy. Toilet block was small but not too crowded (in the gents anyway), but having the sinks 2 feet away from smelly urinals was not great when kids were cleaning their teeth. There was a sign saying that the shower / toilets were "in the process of" being refurbished, but when we asked, we were told that meant that a new block may be built sometime in the (distant?) future when the tent field will be replaced by caravans / statics. Other than that, quite a good location between busy Newquay and Bude. Staff were always friendly. Didn't get to try the bar/restaurant but it looked ok.

This is a lovely quiet park. We have a very large tent which I told them about in an email the pitch size we had was wonderful plenty of room. The pitches are all a good size. We had ehu and these pitches seem to be bigger. The park has a lovely pub not quite what we were expecting - there was no entertainment in the week we were there and it was only open 12.30 til 2.30 and 7.00 til 11.00 which was a shame. I had to complain about the showers as they were full of flys and this was soon cleaned. I think this site is perfect for someone who just wants a nice site that is quiet and you can enjoy a lovely meal in the restaurant not really for people with really lively kids who want more to do. We would go back to the site.
