Stayed here for 4 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) in August 2015 and were pleasantly surprised. The pitches are marked out as 9m x 9m so there was enough space for our large 6 man tent but it was a bit of a squeeze with the car too, having said that there is a car park where you can leave your cars if needed.
The ground is mostly level and the views are lovely, especially on the upper level where most of the caravans were. The majority of people were in caravans however there were a few of us 'tenter a' and it was a good mix.
There is a small outdoor swimming pool which is slightly heated and slightly dated but all the kids loved it.
The on site pub also does food which is quite reasonable and of a good standard and the beer garden looks out onto the playground. The staff were pleasant and friendly.
The toilets and showers were clean and there were plenty to use, I never had to wait for a shower. There was a bath and a hairdryer in the unit too. The showers were push button and didn't last for long and there was never any hand wash so make sure you take your own with you. Each cubicle contained a shower cubicle, loo and sink so was nice and private and they were always clean although the floor could get a little dirty if muddy and so each cubicle could have done with a mop to use after use.
There is no shop but a co op so close by along with a few farm shops close by.
There is so much to do in the area so we will definitely be returning. Tintagel Castle is lovely but not for those with a fear of heights!

We stayed at juliots well for 11nights and we thought it was wonderful. Lovely caravan pitches, showers and toilets very clean water in showers was just the right temperature. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There is a pub and restaurant on the site which is lovely the food is very good and bar staff really nice and friendly.
There are some wonderful places quite near by to visit although the places are a car ride. I found king Arthur's castle a great place to visit very interesting.
I they also have log cabins which are very clean and comfortable with everything you need in them.
So if you are thinking of Cornwall for you're next holiday I greatly recommend this site. Thank you all at Juliot wells site for a lovely holiday

This was a return visit as we had such a great time last year. We love the individual bathrooms, they were maybe not as clean as last time but lashings of hot water. When we arrived the weather was appalling but we managed to set up without a hitch.
The restaurant wasn't opened on the Saturday night but we ordered off the bar menu and ate outside as it was a great evening the food was usual pub food.
The only drawback was the pool it was not operational due to a fault which wasn't fixed as it was the bank holiday. As my son spent most evenings the last year in the pool it was a bit of a disappointment.
Overall it is a great location if visiting Launceton and surrounding area. Davidstowe Airfield Museum is well worth a visit.

A pleasant site in a quiet location, giving easy access to the surrounding area.
In addition to the trailer tent/caravan pitches the site also has a large camping field.
There is a bar and restaurant area, a small shop and wi-fi is available at a cost.
The facilities are very modern and are of a good standard. However, at busy times there is a problem with access to toilets. This is because the layout of the facilities is basically in self contained cubicles made up of a shower, toilet and wash basin. This means the toilets are tied up whilst people use the showers etc.
Local shops and pubs are to be found near by in Camelford.

Stayed 2 weeks here during the summer holidays.
The touring/camping service pitches are split on 2 levels and were a mix of hardstanding and grass areas of 9m x 9m. However, the ground was very tough and seemed to be very rocky and made pegging out difficult.
The toilet block has 7 toilets with 6 having free showers and 1 with a bath. The bath however required a token (£1. 20) for which you had 4 mins of hot water. (make sure you use the cold water to wash the bath out as you'll end up wasting your token as my brother soon found).
There was also a Baby Change facility but when a member of our party tried to use it, it was not accessible and full of tables, however, they were removed quite quickly when the owners were notified.
There is also a disabled unit accessed via a ramp. The toilet block was kept fairly clean but could of been better especially during the busier times. There are only 2 sinks for washing up and did cause a small queue during the busy period.
There was a sloping field for the standard grass pitches and at the top there was a basic playground consisting of a slide, swing, climbing frame and a balance beam.
A games room with arcade machines and a pool table but all were a reasonable price. There was a pub/restaurant opposite reception, the meals were a bit pricey and the service a little slow but the food was lovely and the drinks priced very well.
The shop wasn't the best stocked but a Co-op was only a short distance away in Camelford which was.
The laundry had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers and an ironing board. (would recommend 2 dryer tokens for each wash as you only get 25 mins drying time per token)
The outdoor pool did get quite packed at times and although heated was a little chilly for the smaller children.
Overall, the site is nice but could be maintained a lot better but no problems were encountered apart from a very inconsiderate (& loud) neighbour (who decided to pitch up 2 feet away from us).
Around and about, the site is a good base for exploring and only a short distance to some lovely places such as Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac. Two absolute musts are firstly for that all important Cream Tea is Trevathan Farm shop in St. Endellion.
They have a farm shop with local produce (the rib eye was second to none), a tea room/restaurant and a pick your own section with a large playground and an adventure slide to keep the kids quiet.
Secondly, is the chip shop in Camelford, Peckish Fish & Chips is an award winning chip shop and got top marks From us.

We stayed at Juliots Well for 3 nights at the begining of July. This type of site would not be my personal choice as I felt it appeared a more commercialised site with static caravans, log cabins, cottages as well as a touring field.
All the pitches have EHU and we only paid £63 for 3 nights which I felt was good given the extended facilities. There was a general camp field/area (no EHU) but it did slope quite a bit and was just off the main carpark for the pub.
We booked it the day before we arrived which wasn't a problem. On arrival we were presented with a huge welcome pack with local tourist information in however most of it was from 2010 but I guess gave us an idea of what there was to do locally.
When we booked at short notice I was concerned they were struggling to fit us in however there was only one other tent and one campervan in the touring area. There where however 10-12 caravans obviously there as seasonal pitches and these remained mostly unoccupied for our entire stay (surprising given the good weather).
The pitches were 9m x 9m flat but a little rocky underground. Given the dimensions we were unable to fit the front extension on to our montana 6 without encroaching on to the next pitch. The pitches were also quite regimented along a terrace, my preference is a nice big field where you pitch where you like (within reason).
The toilet and shower block is unisex with individual shower toilet and sink in each room (6 in total) I would imagine that if the touring site was full that these would not have coped. They were however clean with excellent supply of free hot water and powerful showers. There was also a bath but that was extra.
There was a semi enclosed area for washing dishes but only 2 sinks! No way would this have coped!
The on site pub served food which was OK (we had to send the food back initially due to burnt yet soggy chips??!). The outdoor pool is heated and was lovely as we had it practically to ourselves. The kids play park was basic but our 6 and 8 year old seemed to enjoy it for a short while.
The on site shop was quite poorly stocked especially for a so called camp site.
The location of the site is excellent for exploring North Cornwall. Excellent beach at Polzeth. A short drive to Rock and foot ferry across the Camel estuary to Padstow was also a good afternoon. Tintagel castle was very interesting too.
In short I was happy with the site but felt that it was more geared up to people with seasonal pitches or those staying in static accommodation.

We booked a week at this site. The booking confirmation arrival after 1pm. We arrived shortly after 1pm - the 3 staff were too busy chatting in reception to book us in. Eventually one person came us and told us rudely. 'You can't come in before 4pm'. He had assumed we had booked a static without asking us.
The grass on the tent field had not been cut for many weeks - There was also a thistle 12 inches tall right in the middle of our pitch. All but one of the tent pitches were empty all week so there was no need to put us in the worst pitch. After 4 days of dry weather, I complained about the pitches as the glorious weather was not preventing them from mowing. One staff member owned up that they 'hadn't bothered to mow the pitches for many weeks. ' Another tried telling me the weather was too wet to mow! She then admitted they had sown new grass seed earlier in the year and didn't want to mow it! I questioned why they took bookings (charging 4* star prices) if they didn't want anyone using the pitches.
The toilet / shower block was also unsatisfactory. All cabins are unisex, but the locks on many were dodgy or did not work at all. The soap holders on some showers had broken off. The cabins were dirty and I never noticed any cleaning throughout the whole week. There was also overflowing sanitary bins which must have been full for ages as there was hardly anyone staying there.
Opposite the shower block were 2 caravans which gave a horrible impression of the site - they were old, run down, yet seemingly lived in permanently.

We wouldn't normally go for a static as we love our tent so much, but we were offered a great end of season deal (3 nights for £67). The staff on site were really friendly and welcoming after our long drive, the welcome pack of local info was the best ever. We stayed in a beech 8 which was of an acceptable standard. I couldn't get the GAS cooker to light so I went to the bar 'just to buy some matches' I have to say the Bar staff were really friendly and helpful, the beer was well priced and well kept too. The playground looked really good but as there was so much to do in the area the kids didn't get to use it.
Camelford is really good with an excellent chippy, & brilliant traditional butchers. We bought some things from the SPA, my daughter dropped a bag with a glass bottle of cider in and broke the bottle, but the owner was really friendly and insisted it was only an accident and replaced the bottle for free (great service). We went to Truro museum one day great free day out, eden project the next day, on our last day we went home via Tintagel Boscastle and Bude. The A30 has revolutionised Cornwall as a destination and we will definitely be back.

We arrived at the site and were checked in by a really friendly person on reception. We were given a voucher for a free bottle of wine, if we ate in the restaurant that evening, which we did as we had not planned anything else. 6 of us had a lovely meal, me and hubby ended up having a 3 course meal! Prices very reasonable, and excellent food. Dogs allowed in bar area. Also had Sunday Roast there, 1 course = £4.95, 2 course = £7.50 or 3 course = £9.95, again the food was very nice and there was plenty of it. Would definitely reccommend this restaurant. All staff on site seemed very friendly and helpful.
There is a small children's park area outside the bar, which seemed quite newly built.
There are only 40 pitches on this site, which are marked out and level, these are either grass or hardstanding, there is also an overflow field, but this is very sloped. We found the pitches to be large enough for our huge tent and the car, on side or front. Electric is included in the price of your pitch.
The shower block is like a large log cabin, again this is very new, the whole block is unisex. Each room has a shower, toilet, basin and mirror. Then there are additional basins, mirrors and electric sockets in the middle area. There is also a bathroom, for which tokens are required and a separate disbaled room. The showers are typical push button, but are quite powerful and very warm. They did get busy between 8 and 9 am,if you left it til a bit later you could have your choice of rooms! But there was another older couple of toilets in a block higher up the lane near the games room, if you are busting first thing!
The games room was ok, Pool table and a few machines, pool was 50p.
The kids liked the swimming pool, which is outdoor, but is heated, they said it was nice and warm. It was open from 10 til 7, but we did find that is had closed early on a couple of rainy days.
There is a small shop next to reception, its ok for emergency items as fairly pricey, we only bought a loaf of bread and papers / magazines.
There is a fishing lake, this is for 'proper' fishers! We did pay for my son and his friend to go one day, and they did manage to catch 1 Rainbow Trout, which we eat the next day! Very tasty! But as my son only normally fishes on small 'fun' type lakes, where you catch and put back, this was quite a new experience, and could have worked out quite expensive if they had wanted to do it everyday. There is a chap on site who will gut the fish for you if required.
The site is situtaed just off the main A39, so is fairly handy for lots of places. A short drive will take you to Wadebridge (10 miles), Bodmin (about 12 miles)then to the A30, where everywhere is fairly easily accessed. The large Village, small town of Camelford is a 2 minute drive or a 10 to 15 minute walk away, here there are just a few shops, large- ish Co-op, hardware shop (useful for replacement air beds etc!)
The site is centrally located for lots of Cornwalls main attractions.
Nice walks at bottom of site around their wildlife ponds, saw lots of rabbits and dragonflies.
We would definitely stay at this site again sometime!
