Great sea views on this 6 caravan site. Part of a static site. Toilet and shower block basic but clean, although we always use our own on board facilities.
Lovely walk to Sheringham either along the beach or the coastal path. Great in calm weather but be careful if it gets windy, it is a bit exposed on the cliff top. Can seem a little intrusive with the coastal path running right past the caravans, there were people walking past all day.
Beach access nearby, and also a longer walk along the coastal path to Cromer (which we didn't get chance to try). Overall a nice site with good facilities nearby.

We had seen this site when we stayed last year at a neighbouring site, Beeston Regis, and decided we would like to stay here. Good choice. The previous reviews are all accurate.
We used the facilities but didn't try the showers. They were very clean and tidy. The owners are very welcoming, best welcome we have had so far in our travels.
The reception also doubles up as a small shop selling basics that you might run out of or forget. You can get a newspaper there as well. Very useful.
The site is mainly privately owned statics although there are six caravans to hire (no dogs allowed in these vans). You do need to book since there are so few touring pitches.
Sheringham is in easy reach, you can either climb over the Beeston Hump, walk around the bottom of it, or walk along the beach. Pub on the front sells a good pint and has a good menu.
West Runton itself has a few little shops and the pub on the corner looks nice and has a large garden. You can also walk the other direction to Cromer although we didn't do that this time (rain stopped play!)
We will visit again, it's lovely, especially with the fantastic sunset over the sea.

What a fantastic site. We visited on the final weekend of the season. The lady we met on arrival made us extremely welcome and the facilities were explained. The pitch was right on top of the cliffs-delightful.
The beach and beach cafe are only a stones throw away. All dog owners were taking full advantage of the walks, either along the beach or coastal path.
The toilet and shower facilities were spotless, my only minor complaint was the high temperature of the water in the showers.
We will certainly be returning again and judging by the feedback it will be as wise to book early.

Stayed here for just 2 nights (wished it had been longer!) Lovely site great for kids, beach just 10 mins walk away. Little shop with friendly staff. Very clean shower block.
Amazing sunsets! The area is full of things to see and do Cromer is nice and Sheringham too. The site has just 6 or seven pitches for tourers so never felt over full. There's a large playground for the kids so that keeps them entertained (while tea is being cooked!)
We are going tell everyone about this lovely site!
We are going to book for 2011 as soon as we can for a week !

Even though the previous reviews are older they still all apply. 7 pitches, all overlooking sea, beautiful coastal walks, well-kept caravan site. Lots of playing area for kids including hard tennis court, football pitch and playground with a few items of play equipment.
Toilet block, although small (2 x showers/ 2 x toilets) was spotlessly clean and although 6 pitches were occupied during my stay I never once bumped into anyone in there!
Well stocked shop, but other shops within walking distance, and plenty of pubs a couple of minutes walk away with excellent beer garden (welcomes canine friends too!).
Beach is probably ten mins walk away in either direction. Towards West Runton a manageable slope to beach, towards Beeston Reegis steep (but well built, safe) steps! Take your pick!
This was a fantastic site but beware that wind could be a problem for awnings.

Our first caravan holiday, site easy to get to (good for first timers). Staff very frendly and helpful, view over cliff top wonderful. Toilets / showers clean, weather was brilliant for us but have been warned the sea wind could quickly damage awnings. Lovely walks into Sheringham and Cromer or the village - for pub supper! We enjoyed it so much we stayed on extra night!

Visited this site for one night over the weekend. Great location right on cliff edge over looking the sea. Staff were very helpful nothing was to much trouble. You could walk either way out of the site and do the coastal path to either Sherringham or Cromer. There was a pub 2 minutes walk away which was handy for the evening. The toilet and shower block was a bit dated but always clean. Will definitely be returning soon.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of August, the touring pitches are on the cliff top looking out to sea, a lovely view, especially as the sunsets in the evening. The boundary of the site, on the cliff top, is fenced, so no danger for children or dogs etc. The site is mainly static caravans with only about 8 touring pitches and is very quiet and peaceful. There is a well stocked shop on the site and the village of West Runton is 2 minutes walk away, where there is a lovely pub, a restaurant and a Spar shop. There is a pleasant cliff top walk both east and west of the site, east is Sheringham, about a 20 minute walk and to the west is firstly East Runton and then Cromer, both within reasonable walking distance on a nice day. The showers on the site were very clean and kept locked at all times with keys issued to guests , the laundry/washing up room is also locked, with a code entry system, as the public cliff top path runs through the site. The only fault I could find is that the showers are operated by a push button control that you have to hold in all of the time to maintain the water flow, not just press in every couple of minutes or so. Though there was always a plentiful supply of hot water and they were never so busy that you had to wait. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending this site to fellow caravaners.

Very helpful staff. Nice basic site. Small shop and a tennis court on site. I think there was a child's playground somewhere but mine are abit big for that type of thing. Pub and shops (including a good camping store) only a short walk away. We only stayed for a couple of nights as this was a trial with our new caravan but we hope to stay there again soon.

April 2005 We visited this site in April. Nothing was too much trouble! The site is mainly for static caravans, but there are a few spaces for tourers. (All with electric hook-up). These actually have the best pitches, and are perched on the cliff-top, looking out to sea. The views are wonderful. It is possible to see the sun both setting and rising over the sea (weather permitting), and in the distance the light from Cromer lighthouse sweeps around. There is a small shop on site. The toilet/shower block is accessible by key, and a suitable distance from the tourers. The village is a gentle stroll from the site, and is well served by a camping shop, general store and a couple of pubs.
