We have been coming to this site for many years and the old owner (Tony) was excellent. On booking this time we learned it has new owners. Whilst the campsite remains spacious and has excellent dog walking facilities, its hygiene standards have slipped, the toilets only appear to be cleaned now once a day at a most inconvenient time, usually somewhere between 8 and 9 in the morning just when most campers need to use them. There is a note to say toilet rolls will not be provided in the toilets July and August so campers be warned. 2 of the ladies showers were out of action as appeared to be the washrooms, the mens apparently weren't any better
The games room was also closed. I pitied the poor campers down by the toilets because the large industrial bins were filled to over flowing.
Price wise the site is still value for money, but we are unsure if we will return

A smashing site in a great location. Whenever we book we are always made to feel welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. Really quiet site with plenty of room and good well cared for grass areas.
A little difficult to find the first time but well worth trying a little longer.
W/c s etc are in a portacabin type structure but these are clean and of a good size. The site also provides a micro-wave for those quick hot snacks which cannot be cooked on a gas ring - pasties etc.

Following previous reports on here, tried this site, and glad I have - as said, ideal for a relaxed and peaceful holiday. Facilities are quite satisfactory and well-kept, vans are sited round the edges of the field leaving plenty of play space for younger children. Beaches are only a few minutes drive away, while plenty of shops are only 10 - 15 minutes away at Helston or Penzance. Prices were very acceptable - £90 for two weeks, 3 adults, electric and awning! As stated on their website, 'there is NO CLUB or BAR just the peace of the Cornish Countryside' and this is the type of site I prefer - the local pub is only about 5 minutes walk away if/when needed!
This is definitely my selected site for future visits to Cornwall.

Bit late but here's my review - had a week here (been here before). Weather was actually good all week. I know its possible for a site to go 'downhill' from one season to the next but not this one - site peaceful and well kept as usual. Owners (Tony and family) as helpful and obliging as always. Definitely going back again.

Lovely campsite, great owners who were friendly and helpful. We turned up on the day and they managed to squeeze us in and made us feel very welcome. The toilet facilities were always clean, and well stocked, even if they were a little dated. Children were encouraged to have fun and enjoy their holiday even if they were noisy at times. Overall happy to stay there again.

We stayed here for two weeks over August bank holiday and had a fantastic time. We were in the main field where the tents are placed around the perimeter of the field with the play area in the middle. This gave every tent a feeling of space and a nice outlook, it also meant the children had plenty of space for ball games. The telly room went down very well with the teenagers! The toilet block was very pleasant and was cleaned regularly. It was kept well stocked up with toilet roll and soap. The owners were very friendly and helpful, ice-packs were frozen without charge. Unfortunately the curry van doesn't come anymore but you can order a chinese which will be delivered to reception. The prices were very reasonable, £14.25 for up to 6 people during the six week school summer holidays, and just £5 a night at any other time. It was a very convenient central position for exploring that area of Cornwall, praa sands just a short drive away, all the lizard and landsend within half an hour drive.

Great site, not over crowded. No shop or club which makes this a quite site. The toilets and washrooms could do with a good updating they are cleaned regularly. Overall I would recommend this site and we intend to revisit next year. Check out this sites rates, they are a bargain.

Owners were very friendly and if you had any problems they were willing to help. On our visit the site was very busy and as a result very noisy often past eleven at night. We found this too much particularly with young children although we were in the worst place possible right by the cut through, was advised afterwards should have requested top of field. Having said that site clean and tidy and some nice walks around site. Washing up facilities are very good and showers had hot water most of the time!

Had two weeks in Cornwall at Boscrege.Camping in June the owner is called Tony and he really does try to make your stay special. The site is in a picturesque location and away from the main roads. For two weeks in June it was £50 per week, which included hot water showers and electric hook up. The toilet block is old but very clean and well decorated and there is plenty of hot water. Lesley works in the office and Andy looks after the site, between the three of them they make your stay relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend this site and we will be back next June, every thing is perfect. Would imagine during school holidays it gets a bit busy so booking is advisable. Many people go back to this sight every year, says it all really.
