The camping field at this site was immaculate, as were the toilets, but unfortunately it was completely surrounded by static caravans and holiday chalets. If you enjoy camping in this kind of environment, great, but it really wasn't our idea of camping so despite having paid for 3 nights we only stayed for one night.
We went into the club for a drink where everyone was playing bingo which was followed by some rather basic entertainment, again, not our cup of tea.
The immediate area outside the campsite was full of amusement arcades and a few shops so it was really more of a holiday camp atmosphere than somewhere to go on a camping holiday.
Whilst the site may be 500 yds from the beach as the crow flies, the walk to the beach seemed to be considerably longer.
All in all, not a good stay for us and we will definitely not be visiting again.

A group of friends and I spent a fantastic long weekend here during the summer of ’09. Upon arrival the campsite were a little unsure about a group (7 mixed men/women age 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 26, 30 incl. 2 couples) although I had called ahead and confirmed this would be ok, however after assuring them that we were a friendly bunch they found us a nice quiet spot.
The facilities were better than expected, and even the clean obsessive ladies in our group were happy to use the showers (biggest compliment possible). The camp shop on site catered for everything we could need as did the fish and chip shop. We didn’t use the clubhouse but it looked pretty clean from the outside.
Disabled facilities were also fine as one of our group is in a wheelchair.
The location was ideal for a walk to the beach (via the neighbouring campsite and through a mud alley) however this is not the best for wheel chair users unless feeling rather gymnastic and fitted with 4x4 wheels.
All in all the site was nice and clean and we were not bothered by anyone, exactly what we look for during a weekend away.
Will definitely be going back again.

Just spent a really enjoyable 15 nights at this site. Clubhouse was very inviting, and the kids enjoyed playing the games and then there was an artist on afterwards.
The site had good amenities and clean showers and toilets. Also not far from Yarmouth and the Broads. The best part was the price, it was very competitively priced and offered so much more in return. Would recommend to anyone!

This is our third year in a row, we love the space that you get around your pitch. Our only problem this year was the noise coming from youths drinking in their tents, shouting and yelling way past 11. 30pm, even though we don't have young children with us, I would imagine that people with youngsters would be woken on several accasions during the night. The security wasn't up to its ususal standard, we only saw them once. The toilets may be dated but they are clean so are the showers. There is a pub across the road called The Sunningdale which does fantastic meals at very good prices.

We have been to this site many times and find it clean and friendly and safe as can see kids in play area from tent. This has to be one of the best looked after site we have been to as we are fussy campers. We don't use club house but this is a really nice campsite and would recommend it as only 10mins walk to beach. Toilets are clean as so are showers.

This year was our third year at the site. From our very first visit we found the people in the site to be very inviting. We were greeted by a lady in reception who explained what the site had to offer and how to get started (as we were fairly new to the camping lark). We were close to a pool, the beach and if we didn't want the hassle of parking, the bus goes out to Great Yarmouth regularly and stops just outside the camp. The facilities have always been very clean and being plenty of them I've never had to wait for the toilet or a shower! The arcades are also good, we happily spent many an hour there. We found the clubhouse very good with plenty to do. This year we went with a small group of friends and an 18 month old baby, and we found the whole site to be very accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again!

This campsite is well worth a visit. It has good facilities although the showers for those on the touring field were a long walk. The on site entertainment means an enjoyable week can be had without leaving the site. For those wanting to explore it was close to Hembsy and great Yarmouth making it a good location. As a family we have visited this site before and would do so again.

Just got back from a very wet and windy weekend at Newport! Typical bank holiday! We were welcomed in the site office by a friendly lady who directed us to our pre-booked pitch. You are allocated a pitch on booking, so there's no fighting for the best spots. All the pitches were good though, flat ground with plenty of room for our large tent. The toilets were older but very clean as were the showers. There is a lovely shop that sells gifts as well as the normal food selection. The chip shop was good although slightly expensive. The diner was very nice although there seemed to be no heating and it was chilly, that's why we chose to eat in instead of the tent. Reasonably priced however. The only bad point about the site was that the "family" club house would not allow us to take a pushchair in! You can only chase a toddler around for so long! The lady on the desk was very unobliging and would not even allow it in on the quiet Friday night, even though we were sat on the edge of the room out of anyones way. We ended up leaving early and going back to our tent on all three nights that we stayed. I understand about fire precautions but there were plenty of places at the edges of the room for pushchairs to be safely out of the way.

March 2005 This site is in a good location, within a short walk from the amusements and beach. The touring pitches are all flat and away from the static vans but still with good access to the site facilities. The park is a bit of a 70's throwback with dated facilities that are basic but clean and functional. The clubhouse was too busy and smokey, but must have something to offer as I couldn't get in the door! There are four other holiday parks surrounding this site. We used another site's indoor swimming pool. The cost in really cheap, just £6.00 per night when we stayed for our family of five (2 adults, 3 children) including car and tent, but no elec. It also included clubhouse entertainment! In summary, a economy site ideal to use as a base for exploring this part of Norfolk.

August 2004 Very nice site, not too big . Facilities old but always clean. Staff very friendly always there to assist. Entertainment in clubhouse was a different act every night. Did get busy on the Fri and Sat night but not too bad after that
Was quite a walk to the showers and dishwashing facilities if you were at the back end of the field. Overall enjoyed this camp and would go back again
