Lovely site, clean, quite and Claire was very friendly making us feel welcome.
Ideal location for us to go and do mountain biking at the 7 Stanes.
Will definitely be back and would recommend to family and friends.
Would also like to just mention the Chinese (Rose Garden) in Dalbeattie the service and food was amazing best chinese ever.

A lovely site south of Dumfries and the sisters who own the site are very friendly and do take time to chat.
The facilities are spotless and the site is very quiet and restful
Buses do go along the main road either to Dumfries or to Dalbeattie but beware on the return journey that the bus driver stops opposite the campsite entrance as there is no pavement to walk along!
In general I really enjoyed my stay at Beeswing campsite.

Lovely site, great, clean facilities. 2 sisters run the site both lovely and friendly.
Regular visits round the site to make sure everything as it should be and would stop to chat.
Lovely walk around the nature reserve, great for kids to explore. No play area but not missed by our 5yr old.
Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again 😊

We found this campsite quite by chance as we had not booked anywhere for our first night in Scotland. It is just west of Dumfries, so is perfect when needing a campsite fairly close to the border. What a gem. Small and perfect.
The lady manager was very friendly and helpful. The site felt like a lovely garden, even the trees were labelled with their species and there is a dog walk around the ponds for that evening stroll. Toilets and showers perfectly clean.
The only downside was that the pub was a bit too far away. We shall definitely stay there again.

Now with much imprived showers! Perfect
Great little site, perfect for relaxing. Spotless toilet/shower block. Friendly owners. Great for dogs as there is a nature trail/dog walk on site!
We've been coming here for the past 15 years, off and on and always have a great time! Very quiet and great for stargazing!
Given a 9/10 for child friendliness only because there are ponds and a small river on-site (beyond the large white gate, so small children shouldn't be there alone), but no problems if children are supervised near the water.

We stayed here over Easter weekend and what a delight. Easter Sunday there was an Easter egg hunt for the kids then the owner came round with a basket of choccy eggs for us big kids. Fantastic.
This is an excellent site with superb facilities and we would recommend it to everyone. There is a superb dog walking area and poo bags are even provided.
We will be back.

What a very beautiful site! Its just gorgeous. It feels like one big cottage garden, lots of fruit trees, perfect lawns, a pond covered in water lillies, a pretty pale pink toilet block with climbing flowers and a resident donkey!
It is small and well designed for privacy. It has the best dog walk area I have ever seen in a campsite, which is an extensive wild flower meadow with paths though it.
Just be careful, , I let my dog off lead and he went running down the maze of paths and I couldn't find him for a while! Showers are spacious but temperature was difficult to control. Toilet block elegant and filled with scented liquid soaps and flowers.
Very feminine, very lovely.

Excellent little site.
Just come back from 5 nights at beeswing with the kids and the in-laws. Had an amazing time, despite the dubious Scottish weather!
Site was small and quiet which is how we like it. Could just hear road noise but it wasn't loud enough to keep us awake. Facilities were excellent. Clean toilet blocks with lovely touches including decent hand soap, quality toilet roll and fresh flowers.
Showers were a little dated but hot and free so no complaints. Indoor washing up area and laundry facilities (honesty box system). Lots of local information. Toys and books to lend for stay. Good children's play area. Pitch and put available too. Friendly, informative owners.
Plenty of EHU pitches available. Not too many midges. Definitely need down if transport during stay as not too much to go within walking distance. Didn't use public transport so don't know what this is like.
Would recommend and definitely plan to return.

The Beeswing Campsite is a delight.
We stayed for two nights, specifically to visit Caerlaverock Castle and Dumfries.
Adjacent to Beeswing village, named after an extremely successful 19th century British thoroughbred racehorse, in the past forty years one family has developed Beeswing campsite from two bare fields. It now gives the impression of staying in the family’s extensive garden with carefully sited avenues of mature trees sheltering lawn-like grassland, patches of wild flowers which, as a sign in one of them says, “Welcome all Bees and Butterflies” and, ever-present in the background, more varied bird-song than we have heard for many years. In the second field, level, mown pathways meander through a grassy meadow adjacent to a pond and small river.
Although we only stayed two nights whilst touring, Beeswing Campsite could well be a holiday destination in itself for a much longer stay.
Beeswing Campsite’s facilities are excellent, providing everything we look for in an outstanding site: an electrical connection, exceptionally clean and well equipped toilets and showers, inside washing-up and laundry facilities, quietness and charming staff. Some rustic tables and seats facilitate outdoor dining, whilst a playground, located well away from the pitches, provides swings and other entertainments for children.
Beeswing Campsite now ranks alongside our two former favourite campsites, one in Austria and the other in Canada.

We stopped here for 2 nights, end Aug/Sept, with friends who were tenting. The ground was boggy in places but we still managed to level our 24ft motorhome and not get bogged down on the way home. Toilets were lovely and clean, though the showers were an art (turn hot on, then adjust using cold), but spacious and free.
Very quiet, apart from the occasional braying, and some owls at night. We usually stop on cl sites but I'd recommend this one, and definitely go back again. Our friends were the only tenters (due to weather I should think), but they said they would return too. Playground is small and for littlies but with Mabie Farm and Cream o' Galloway close by, exercise is not an issue (my 9 and 13 year olds love both of these places.) We visit D&G a few times a year if possible and I should think this site is busier in summer but if we stop with friends we shall return
Personally I'd like to see a couple of hardstandings, but apart from my personal preference, I can't complain.
