This is a lovely site, small and in gorgeous countryside. Not far from the horse-shoe pass, Llangollen and castles and beauty spots are abound in this area of Wales.
Tiny shop, lovely play area and a laundry room were all superb. They had been re-furbishing the loo/shower block when we went, and they didnt seem to have been completed, but really you cant fault the site. This was the beginning of the season (Easter) and so we saw the site at its best, early season - it was clean, tidy, in a lovely location with daffodils abound and the fields full of baby lambs.
Friendly, helpful people who couldnt do enough for you.

Quite difficult to find this site. We were disapointed, we arrived with a tent and wanted electric so had to pitch by the caravans if you can camp without electric the pitches are better. The toilets were not clean and the floor was full of mud and grass when we arrived late afternoon on Saturday and were in the exact same state when we left on Monday. This site is connected to a golf course which is good fun and provides a nice walk but it is full of sheep. Pubs not far but needed to drive to them. Quiet site, space for kids to play, ok for a couple of days.

We found this site very quiet and peaceful. It's in a lovely location, but the single track road to it takes about 10 minutes to navigate. The play area is a very good size. The down side of this site was the dish washing facilities - no hot water and one stone sink with no drainer surface at the side. The toilets weren't cleaned the entire time we were there, but then we were the only people there! But the pitch was very flat, and the site generally is well maintained. Not sure if I'd like to go when it's busy.

Have to agree with the previous reviewer - this is a spotless site, very child-friendly and very relaxing.
Toilet block was immaculate and the play area well maintained and perfectly placed to allow us to sit outside the tent and let our 2 year old have a bit of freedom!
Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be going back here - and soon !!
Local pub (The Raven) in Llanarmon-yn-Lal is excellent - also very child-friendly and with a great wicket of hand-pulled real ales !

Facilities include: 16amp hook ups, 12ft wide pitches, bottled gas, telephone, shop, information centre, toilet and shower block.
Facilities were basic but absolutely spotless. It is definitely one for families as the play area is fantastic for the youngsters and the tent area is close by so they can be supervised at all times. Newspapers can be ordered the previous day for collection at the shop. There is a mix of static caravans, tourers and tents. Approx 10 hook-ups for tents. Pitches were flat and even.
It is difficult to find but well worth the effort. The owner gives clear directions if you phone up his mobile number is 07779-459591. For the golfers there is even a nine hole course on site with 2 tees to every hole extending it to 18. Plenty of areas of natural beauty within easy reach and stunning walks lead directly from the park. The site shop has videos and books for hire and a good range of brochures on local places of interest. Horse riding is also available nearby.
This is one of the best sites for a relaxing weekend.
Best tip is if you want to visit don't follow the first sign to Llanarmon yn Ial that just leads to the village. Carry on up the B5430 for another half a mile or so and you will see the signs for Allt Gymbyd.
