Just had a two night stay on this sight fri 24th of may till Sunday.
The site is well kept and wardens are very helpful
A bit cramped in some areas but the area we were in, which seemed to be seasonal pitches around the outside and an area in the middle fro tourers and tents. These pitches were nice and spacious, wee had a caravan large awning, medium tent with a volvo, jeep and a car and had lots of room for the kids still to play.
There is a main toilet block which was in decent condition but could have done with slight modernisation but were spotlessly clean. Showers were a push button which became a pain after a minute. There was another toilet in the middle of the site which was like a converted portacabin which were also spotlessly clean.
On the site there was no shop but 2 coops up the street about a 3 or 4 minute walk along with a chip shop and a few other takeaways. There was also a grat children's play park in the middle of the site.
Would definitely visit this sight again

Fantastic site and caravan.
Stayed in van 48 for 3 nights as we were attending Blair Horse trials, can not recommend enough, van had almost every thing you could need to get started tea coffee sugar, BBQ, bird seed and nuts, which the red squirrel who visited each morning loved (could maybe have a small nest of table for drinks tea coffee in living room)
The park was lovely, swimming pool etc great, could maybe do with more showers in ladies but apart from that all great,
Site was really clean and quiet even though all vans seemed occupied.
Will be back for 2013, for the full week this time I hope.

Spent an overnight here on our way back from Lewis. Area seems a bit exclusive if not downright snooty, or that's how it presents.
Site looks to mainly cater for statics so pitches for vans etc are quite small but had hookup and tent next to us think it was about £22 for the night.
As other reviewers have said the toilet blocks are littered with signs telling what you can and can't do, amusingly not always spelt right never seen 'frizbies' before!
20p to wash up which I've not known before but seemed to get enough water to wash up with.
Toilets and showers were good and kept clean and tidy.
Some of us used the swimming pool in the morning and for £4 enjoyed pool, hot tubs and sauna.
OK as an overnight stay but not somewhere I'd head for specifically.

Very disappointing site. Expensive for one person at £18 pn for motorhome and no discount given for this. Dogs were charged at £2 each per nt. There was a £1 discount for members of the Caravan or C&C Club but it still worked out at over £19 per night.
Site was cramped with little space between but all had hard standings and water and waste each. Although a dog walk was advertised there was no bins for depositing dogs waste and I had to walk through the site to the only waste bins in the compound.
There was a charge of 20p for hot water to wash the pots which is a first! Also no soap was available to wash your hands after using the toilet.
There is an indoor pool on site, which is fabulous, with a charge of £4 per swim and this went some way to appease my disappointment. The restaurant is no longer open. I would not stay here again.

We have just finished our first tour of Scotland for 18 days, staying at 8 different sites. This site was our last and in our ratings came last !
The toilet block was just basic in the gents only 1 shower with nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc but the best thing I saw was a slot for 20pence for your hot water for dishwashing. I have never seen any other site we have stopped on charge for washing up.
Not a nice site at all, everywhere you looked there were signs stating don't do that, don't do this and not cheap at £17. 00 a night. Everything felt crammed in.

Were allocated a fairly small hardstanding but conveniently situated near a water tap and the toilet block which was clean, tidy and warm.
We found the many static caravans a bit off putting but a visit from some very friendly ducks made up for this.
There's a very short path down to the river but no real path to walk along once you have reached the river bed which is a pity. The village of Blair Atholl itself was very quiet.
The Water Mill is worth a visit and in easy walking distance of the site.
The restaurant was not open so I cannot comment. We did not realise the pool belonged to the site!

Contrary to the previous reviews, we did not enjoy staying at this site. Definitely not child friendly. On entering the 'touring' area you are immediately faced with signs - 'No Ball Games, No Frisbies'
They boast 5* Scottish Tourist Board Award (many years old), but cannot even provide the basic necessity of soap in the toilets. If you require hot water for your dishes that will be 20p.
Although the leisure facilities are nice and clean, the big let down is the raft of signs all over the place letting you know what won't be tolerated in the swimming pool - these include 'No Shouting' and 'No Splashing'.

My 7 yr old Son and I have stayed at this site several times over the last 3 years. The area is superb, very picturesque. The site itself is well managed, friendly staff and we have always experience prompt check in. The pitches are well layed out with ample room, level and of good size. The last time we satyed here we unfortunatley were placed next to the shower block, slightly noisy after 11pm. The shower block is very clean and modern, my Son said that he was happy to have a shower, which says someting in it's self.
There is a fantastic leisure complex, swimming pool, jacuzzi etc, pool is a bit small, however we have never seen it overcrowded, only down side is it's a bit pricey. There's also a nice walk down to the river were for the first time we had a camp fire, my Son loved it, toasted marshmallows. I have recomended this site to several of my friends, certainly worth a vist if you are in the area.

This was our second trip to River Tilt, we'd been 2 years previous. It's a beautiful site in a beautiful area and we really enjoyed it even though we had snow. It's great if the weather is bad because you have the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There's a tiny pool for small children. The showers are limited but the site is small so if you time it right you're OK. My only concern is on arrival make sure you know where you are going and DO NOT head down by the Log cabins as we did the last time. We ended up having to unhitch and turn a twin axle. While we were there this time another tourer did the same. Ideally there should be a sign to tell tourers not to go past this point! I will definitely return because it is a quiet site, very relaxing.

I agree with Cracla. Very disappointed with this site. Two things you want when camping: a bit of peace and quiet - not possible with the trains 50yds away and the quadbikes wizzing up and down, and hot showers - these were at best lukewarm and non adjustable.
