Have been to this site quite a few time. Lovely setting. Handy to all areas of interest, Mournes / Belfast and county down peninsula. Shower block kept very clean but they close it every morning for 1 hour between 10. 30 and eleven busy time.
The current wardens have moved the bins down beside the entrance which means one long walk from the other end of site, previously the bins were kept near shower block in the middle of the site.
As previous reviewer stated wardens are so so, unfriendly and very condescending, but don't let that put you off a lovely site.

Visited here for a weekend stay with wife and 2 kids. Over all this is an excellent site situated within the country park. Pitches are grass on matting. It was quite wet when we were there though the pitches remained fairly dry but we did find it quite difficult to peg the awning down due to the hard ground. Pitches had water, electric and waste drains.
The toilet and showers were immaculate as was the whole site. The country park is fantastic with great walks around the shores of Strangford Lough, a brilliant adventure playpark and miniture railway. Our kids absolutely loved it. Only downside to the whole thing was we found it too strict.
The wardens are always out and about and your nearly afraid to do anything in case you get told off. On arrival they showed us to our pitch and then proceeded to tell me how to reverse onto my pitch. I found them quite patronising. Overall the site is a fantastic site in a fantastic setting. Worth a visit.

Site:
Nice site right in Country Park; we choose pitch close to reception to get good WIFI (£2 a day)
Grass pitch on matting so motorhome was ok even though there had been continual rain
Facilities:
Excellent facilities and kept spotless
Rubbish placed one bin (no recycling?)
CDP OK; waste water on pitch but NO motorhome waste drain site
Out & About:
Castle Ward (NT) but doesn’t open till after 12
Strangford Loch, village and castle can be reached by car/bike
Would return if visiting this area again

We arrived at Delamont in the pouring rain and although the ground was very wet, the pitches were not waterlogged. The friendly warden showed us to a pitch at the quieter end of the site (as we are old fogeys, no kids, no dogs).
As previously mentioned we found the showers and toilets to be excellent, plenty of hot water and no queues.
The walks around the Country Park itself were really scenic. Delamont was quite handy for Strangford/Portaferry and Downpatrick was an interesting little town, easily reached by bus which stopped right outside the campsite.
We would definitely recommend this site to our friends. And it came in cheaper than a lot of other sites in Ireland. Bonus being that it is a Camping & Caravanning Club site which can be booked and paid for before you leave home.

An immaculate site with spatious pitches which are not too close together.
Staff are extremely helpful and available 24 hours as they live on site. The site is connected to the country park by a gate which gives direct access into the park and it's facilities.
Be careful to check the gate locking time as you could easily get locked in!
There is a shop on site selling the basics. The toilet and shower block is immaculate and cleaned regularly throughout the day.
The site is a little costly but definitely worth it.

You'll go a long way to find another campsite as well kept as Delamont club site. Excellent, large clean toilet/shower block, well maintained grounds, friendly staff.
Placed in the grounds of Delamont Country Park with plenty of walks through woodland and fields and fresh air to be had. Lots of open space for kids to run around, picnic area, and narrow-gauge railway. Delamont Country Park is even set on the shores of Strangford Lough.
Lots of interesting places to visit within a few miles : Killyleagh, historic Downpatrick, pretty Strangford village, with the ferry across to Portaferry. The Mourne mountains and the rest of County Down are easily within reach.
The only thing I'd say is it's a bit pricey, even if we're not club members. £56 for 2 of us for 2 nights in a motorhome is above average.

Fabulous site, we have been twice in the last month. Spacious pitches, although we had quite a bit of rain the site held up well. Very well run site with great staff on 24/7. Very clean, well maintained facilities - showers always hot! Very safe site for children and staff very child friendly.
Staff are fantastic, very helpful and there is always someone about. They also are very chatty with the kids.
My 5 year old son loves this site. Very close to Delamont Park which has great walks / cycle rides, a super playpark and a lovely little train.
Shop keeps the basics with local town about 1mile down the road.
We will be back again before the end of the season.

We are just back from a short break at Delamont, it was our first stay and it wont be the last despite our delightful Northern Irish weather, first night we had heavy rain and wind but were impressed to get up in the morning and find campsite although wet hadn't turned into a total quagmire overnight. The area we pitched our tent was wonderfully level and well spaced from other units.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and always seemed to be out and about keeping an eye out around site, they were happy to advise us on EHU for our next visit which will be great.
The dishwashing facilities have scalding hot water all the time (watch out)and we were never kept waiting for a sink.
The toilets and showers were clean and tidy with lovely hot showers ! Delightful after a day out in the rain.
There is also washer/dryer facilities, we were not on site long enough to make use of these.
There is a fantastic playpark within the forest grounds a short walk from the site that has a zipline, climbing frames and slides galore. I think my kids would have lived in the play park had it not been for the weather. A train runs within the park and a shop that does ice cream, coffee and treats, which was well used by our kids after dinner, think it closes about 7pm.
There is also a fresh air fitness trail (think outdoor gym) and plenty of forest paths for keen runners that we didn't get as much use of as we would have liked but next time for sure.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, Killyleagh for essentials and a friendy local, Downpatrick Town(St Patricks Museum), Castle Ward (NT), Strangford Lough and Tyrella Beach are all close by. Newcastle, Murlough Nature Reserve and The Mourne Mountains are all within easy reach by car. Scrabo Tower, Castle Espie (WWT), Mount Stewart(NT) and Seaforde Butterfly House if you wish to go a bit further afield and are all worth a visit. Delamont is a really good base for exploring Co.Down.
We had heard 'complaints' about how strict this site was but didn't have any problems at all. Our only disappointment was that we simply didn't book for long enough, had cashflow allowed we would have stayed on without any qualms. Enjoy your stay !

Neatly hidden in a forest park, this park was very clean, well maintained and with plenty of space between caravans, I had my awning up and still parked my car beside my van! The facilities were spotless, water drainage and electric all on my pitch, I could pick up Digical Tv no problem.
The only downside was that some of the staff were a little too strict for my liking. I only moved my car in front of caravan to fix the awning when a warden told me to move it off the road.
There's no park for the kids so you have to enter the forest park itself, a great park with BBQ picnic tables and there's plenty of walks for the young and old.
All in all besides a couple of little hic ups it was a good clean park, only for big brother watching I dare say I'll be back.

This is the only C&CC 'Club Site' in Northern Ireland.
We stayed during a busy Sat - Tue period in July.
This was our first visit to this site. Overall we were well impressed. We had booked online and paid the balance at reception before being showed to our pitch. Not being great at reversing the caravan, the assistant also guided me back into my pitch.
We have three dogs so having Delamont Country Park right on your doorstep is a big plus. It's a nice stroll into Killyleagh from the site and there are some nice views from the harbour and of course you can dander up towards Killyleagh Castle (not open to the public) and take a few photos from the gatehouse.
The site is situated within striking distance of Downpatrick / Newcastle (for the Mourne Mountains) / Strangford - visiting Castle Ward (National Trust) is a must and of course you can get the Ferry from Strangford to Portaferry and do the Newtownards Penninsula.
The facilities on the site are excellent. The toilet block is very clean and modern, showers always hot and of course you have your chemical waste disposal, dishwashing facilities, washing machines. All pitches are 'super pitches' meaning you have a water tap and waste disposal point behind your caravan.
The site is well run, offers good value for money in a good location. We will be back.
