Stayed here on two separate occasions 4 nights and 2 nights in August 2012 as before facilities spotlessly clean and maintained, food at very reasonable prices in the pub, very welcoming Host and Hostess, will stay again whenever in the area and have recommended to friends who have also stayed there with glowing reports. Being pension the close proximity of bus and rail service allowed us to use our passes and Railcards to visit surrounding towns.

Excellent small site and very dog friendly. The owners are very helpful and although there is only one shower and toilet it is clean.
The pub serves good food and dogs are allowed in. The pub has a lovely, friendly resident boxer dog.
Although someone mentioned in a review that pitches are all hardstanding, there are actually 2 pitches with grass in front where an awning could be sited.
We stayed 2 nights here on our way to Cornwall and rebooked for 1 night on our way home. At £10 per night this is excellent value.
Just one downside. TV reception is bad.
In good weather a visit to Cotswold Country Park is a must (see Google for details).

Stayed along with our Granddaughter for a few nights prior to attending Steam Fair at nearby South Cerney,
Touring caravan towed by Transit van containing Vintage Exhibit was not a problem for this very accommodating site,
Excellent food in pub at very reasonable prices and excellent facilities for campers.
We used the train to get about using our railcard to visit local towns and a visit to family in Surrey,
Excellent site will use again and recommend with confidence, have already recommended to two friends who used the site as a stopover on way to the South Coast.

Excellent site, new landlord and landlady, only been in the pub a fortnight, but very friendly, nice home cooked meals, site was smallish but very clean, tidy and nicely laid out.
There is also a nice clean toilet and shower kept in fine fettle. The site operates a first come first served basis for pitching.
The village is very picturesque, and includes a small shop selling the essentials, there are some lovely walks in the area, including the Thames path, the source of the Thames being fairly close, certainly within walking distance and the Cotswold Waterpark is close by.
The train station is opposite the site and handy for trips to Cirencester and Swindon or further afield if required.
We will definitely use this site again, it was lovely.

Stayed here for a weekend. Small location and site is all gravel so beware if you have an awning. I think there is a charge for a full awning. Facilities are adequate and very clean.
TV signal in the area is poor if that if important to you.
Lots to see locally and there are some splendid walks. Cirencester is a very worthwhile visit.
The pub is very welcoming and the food is excellent (try the steak and kidney pie).
Highly recommended and will probably use again. The location is worth a detour if you are travel from the north to south (or vice versa).

We stayed at the Tavern Inn as this was the only place we could find at short notice to stay for the RIAT 2010 airshow. The campsite was very nice and the owners were friendly. When we arrived we couldn't find anyone to book in so we decided to set up and hope for the best. We spotted another couple who advised us that it was on a first come first serve basis and we could pitch anywhere we wanted. The site is all laid out in cotswold stone which looked the part.
There was only one shower and toilet but these were very clean and modern. The shower was electric so no issues with temperature. On the Friday we decided to venture into the pub for a couple of drinks. They weren't cheap but the owners made us feel at home. There was a pool table, dart board and board games at hand so we decided to have a go. A few ales and some local cider later we decided to go back to the van having a very good night.
The town of Kemble itself is small and only has a pub, railway station and a post office. Although small it took us a while to get our bearings when out for a stroll. All in all, a very nice site, easy to get to off the M4 and an ideal stop over or short visit site.

CL is situated behind the pub and is all hard standing. There is one w.C. And one shower which appear to be quite new and are kept very clean.
The landlord and landlady are friendly and serve good ales and lovely food.
Kemble is situated a few miles outside Cirencester and the McArthur Glen designer outlet in Swindon is an easy drive away.
As an extra benefit if needed, the train station is directly opposite the pub although during our visit we didn't hear much evidence of passing trains.
Will definitely add this CL to our re-visiting list.

We have just returned from a great weekend at The Tavern. The shower and toilet block look like they are new and are accessed by way of a key supplied from the pub, they were immaculate and well kept. The pub itself is great good home cooked food real ales on draught, what more do you need for a great weekend? Helpful owners and staff? Well this little CL comes up trumps on both counts nothing was too much trouble.
Not much else in village except for a shop and railway station. On advice of landlady we left car on site and jumped on train to swindon there in less than 15 minutes and no parking worries. All in all this is a well kept site and a pleasure to stay at will return lots of times ticks all the boxes for us cant wait till next time and best of all you get all this for £10 a night with electric.

Had an overnight stop here. Due to weather and refurb in process, we pitched in the car park. Absolutely fine, nice hard standing with leccy
Pub entrance about 30 steps from our van - know that would really appeal to lol
Beautiful shower's and toilets - like most site's they did lack hooks for clothes & something at the plain glass window (maybe I'm jumping the gun, as I believe they are new)
We didn't use the pub this time
Owner's were very friendly and helpful
We will be going back - to explore the area better

Fine hardstanding site to rear of a friendly pub. CL site. As per previous comment Kemble is a tiny village and there is only the pub and the shop. Excellent walking especially the Thames Trail which leads to Ewen excellent beer and Somerford Keynes excellent food and beer.
Pub only sells Arkells beer which is not my favourite, but expect a friendly welcome. Be very careful entering the site as you may hit the porch with the van. Had problems with freeview reception here
