Camped here while visiting the Cowal Gathering. Good basic site with amenities nearby. Nice mix of tents amongst the statics, so close enough to toilet/shower facilities. A 20p piece is needed for the showers, but dishwashing water is free. Enjoyed the free nightly entertainment provided by the pipers also staying on the site! Will go back next year!

Not a site for the faint hearted! Spent week at site for Cowel Games. Had No designated pitches, hook up was shared with static caravan and blew a number of times when owners arrived. 1 sink with hot water for dishes in cramped utility area which also housed washer and dryer. Two male, two female showers for whole site @ 20p for 5 min. However when site became crowded water pressure dropped and showers didn't work. Games room closed until Saturday when pipers and drummers played until after 4 in the morning. Whole site was covered in sphagnum moss, bordered by a river and constantly flooded - wellies are a must!Cars parked in any given space. We're campers with 30 years experience home and abroad. £17 per night for games and £12 other times not impressed.
