It's too far away from anything and down a narrow road. Its a 20 ish mile round trio to get to anything from the site.
This site reminded me of a Haven site but was very much in need of updating. The toilets and showers looked like they have been there since the 60's.
The touring area is next to a pond which I admit looks nice but the pitches cannot cope with a small amount of rain and end up as wet as the pond itself.
This site is more for statics. The web site describe it as by the river but you are not. I wont visit this site again

Just returned from a week in the Dean park site (me, hubby, my mum and 3 kids), I have to say even though the pitch we were in was a bit soggy and big puddle in our awning a little smelly, we had a fab time.
All the hock ups have the fresh water tap right beside them. Our power (as well as 3 other vans) cut off one night, the maintain guys were there as soon as they heard about it to switch us back on.
All the staff really helpful and remember your name whilst you are there.
We broke the plastic towing bracket for our stabilizer bar on caravan, we went to reception to see if they sold any, they sent the maintain guys up to see if they had any thing that would do, the guys where there in **record time** and the girl at reception printed off all the closest caravan accessory shop for us to replace.
Shop quite well stocked.
Toilet block clean, but I felt very limited in moving without being attacked by a shower curtain, However water hot for the whole shower.
Kids clubs great for tots and older, play areas kept clean and tidy, evening entertainment really good, bingo started at 7pm so that took care of my mum for a while, kids dancing after that just before the main acts came on.
Pool fair size for kids, not too deep, ball area separate so kids all in the one area, so if they disappear you know where to find them.
Great views where ever you stand, but in the middle of know where so quite a trek if you need more than the basics.
We would have definitely been back, but as new caravaner's, we found the road in and out a bit scary (it's very very twisty and single track at places with a lot of blind bends) for 10 miles just before the site.

The good points beautiful views, lovely staff, great little swimming pool. Nice area next to the river where children can play. The site is really geared to statics with the touring area quite small.
Now the bad points : - Water logged pitch,so bad that we couldn`t use our awning (without wellies). Its going to take days to dry out the breathable groundsheet. Then there was the drunken rabble till 1 am.
We feel there should have been a warden in charge rather than a telephone number to call if you had a problem.

This big site is out in the middle of nowhere!
The bar, restaurant and amusement arcade all pleasant enough and ideal for entertaining children.
Pitch was plenty big enough, and as site was not busy masses of space between everything. Fresh water and hook up on same point.
Toilets, shower all looked OK but we used our own.

Selected this site for our tourer as friends had booked a static. The pitch was very soggy and a good walk from the toilet/shower block. On checking out the shower and toilets we found they did not have a regular cleaning time as other sites we have used. Also only having 2 showers in the male and female, one of which in the female had no pressure the other was like a needle shower, with not much room to put your clothes etc. If you like the club and bingo scene then this is the site for you. Shop had a basic stock not much good when you are 12-15 miles from nearest town and have a small fridge.

After booking on this site and reading various reviews some good some very bad, one got confused about the truth. So after making a decision of we jolly well trooped to - Tummel Valley Holiday Park.
Before I go any further I want to clear up the confusion. This site is primarily a Static Caravan Holiday Park with an excellent entertainment centre, Bar, Restaurant, Pool, Sauna etc. There is even a well stocked shop on site. I can not stress loud or long enough about the three entertainers employed by the park for the Kids. One in particular, the male entertainer, is without doubt, brilliant with both children and adults. In my opinion he should be on £1000 a day. This accounts for the Good reviews on various web sites. They are reviews from people who holiday at Tummel Valley in the STATIC Caravans. Now for the Tourers both caravan and motorhome:-
The Pitches:
The first inclining of problems was driving on to the touring part of the site. I noticed sheets of wood on most of the vacant pitches (we arrived early) and on a few of them the occasional rear window shelf from a car or van lying around. When we pulled up to our pitch it looked dry enough but in reality the ground was sodden. There is no drainage to take water away from the pitches. Although the hard standing was gravelled it made the grassed part of the pitch even wetter because the gravelled part did not allow water to drain away and the pitches, in the slightest of rain fall filled up with water and it was always in the area of the caravan/awning part. In other words the part where you have to tread to gain access to and from your awning/van. It does not take rocket science to work out just how wet and muddy both can get.
The Water fill/Waste water points:
You can fill up your water supply with ease but try and empty you dirty water and immediately the drain overflows, so poor is the drainage from the pitched areas. It was easier to just drag the waste water container away from the van and turn it upside down in some long grass. It saved you getting your feet, already soaked through with the pitches, getting covered in waste water.
The Toilet/Shower Block:
I went for a shower on the first morning there and whilst standing in the shower (basically a wet room with the drain right in the middle of the showering part) I realised that the water was actually coming back up the drain and I was standing in water that had came back up. There was no seat or any type of area to sit down in and only one small hook on the door. When I finished getting showered I had to stand in the urinal area of the toilets because it would have been standing in dirty water that had by now flooded the shower. Believe me getting dried in the urinal area was a better option.
Someone wrote on a review somewhere that the Electric cables from the near by power station run directly across the Pitches. They do but you do not notice them and the nearby power station, I found very interesting and strangely beautiful to look at.
On any campsite almost anywhere in the UK if you need toilet fluid or spare parts for your van most carry such items. Well we ran out of Blue Toilet Chem and when I asked at the shop if they had any I was told “Sorry we don’t stock it as we don’t get asked for it”. ! On looking around the shop there was not one bit of touring merchandise of any kind.
Tummel Valley Holiday Park is basically a Static Caravan Holiday Park and a good one at that. But from a touring point of view - Do not go there. When you drive in you see a sign “We take your tourer as down payment on a Static” or words similar to these. That about sums up the site.

I have to say I was impressed by the fact this is a Park Dean site, but not like the others. It's actually in the countryside! Yes it is a 10 mile drive along a windy, hilly country lane and yes some of us did feel a little car sick, however the views along the way are breathtaking and we really didn't mind. The touring part is small but suited us, the grass was a bit soggy and even though we had nice weather it never dried up, not a problem though we have a ground sheet. My boys loved fishing in the pond, they bought a cheap fishing set and managed to catch plenty trout. The week we were there was quiet until friday when it got really busy, the club etc was empty until then. Small shop with most basics (including fresh croissants early in the morning) pool, amusements and club / bar and a takeaway all set alongside the river Tummel.
Only down part was not finding a supermarket, Pitlochry itself has only one food shop which isn't brilliant. We saw plenty Asda online delivery vans just not an asda anywhere. My advice is to go well stocked with food.
You pass Queens view every time you head out anywhere and it really is worth a visit, plus buy the orange and lime curd mmm lovely.
Overall we liked this site, we did over 1000 miles in 6 days though because nowhere is on your doorstep so you either stay on site or expect to do a lot of driving, however with that scenery who cares? Would go back again!

Area for touring vans was fine with a small pond for the kids to play at but you`d need to keep an eye on toddlers. Toilet facilities weren`t the cleanest and the showers were worse. Nice surrounding area and a bit of a sun trap. The swimming pool was good. Very noisy at night when the on site bar closes! Loads of statics and feel this is what the site is only interested in. A different site to any we`ve visited and would have to say I won`t be going back .

As said before - good visit for the end of season.
Has a good indoor pool. The Amusements in the arcade are a little tired.
Entertainment OK - helped us pass a couple of nights away.
Food to eat in was lovely - also had a takeaway.
Shop on site has reasonable stock.
Toilets were ok and warm.
Touring Area was good with Gravel for the van, Grass for the awning and a paved driveway for the car. Grass was a little Wet - but that's the story of this year. - Pegs went in very easy is the plus side.
There is a small pond in the touring Area which is lovely and they allow you to catch and release fish there.
Park was busy when we were there - with lots of kids playing about the touring area - as it should be.
The scenery is great. With a hydro power station across the river a good view. There is also Rannoch station, 23 miles up the road - A train station, hotel and miles of countryside.
This is a good area to go walking in. Pitlochry is the main Town and its a 13 mile drive.
Toilets could have been a little cleaner - but was busy and wet. Would return again £68 for 4 nights for 4 was a good price.
Enjoyed the visit.

Well I made a mistake reading the distance from the main road and thought it said 1m not 10 - be assured wherever you go from here its 12 miles to get anywhere decent - and the roads are typically country style.
The touring pitches don't have a great view - there are electricity pylons running directly over the pitches. Which when we went were particularly soggy due to all the rain we had.
The staff in the shop really grumpy most of the time - when we asked to freeze our ice blocks - a facility they provide according to caravaning and camping club book - we might as well have said we were aliens - took the C N C book to prove they should provide this and they relented.
