Just visited this site for the Easter weekend, lovely site, very welcoming, terrific views over the mountains.

Within walking distance of Criccieth town centre and castle, close to Porthmadog and Pwllheli.

Ideal site for touring the area. Toilet blocks kept clean and tidy as are the showers which are free.

Will definitely be visiting this site again in the future.

We booked this site to attend New Word Alive a Christian conference 5 miles away.

Both the site and Carol the manager were absolutely charming. Sheep, lambs, hooting owls and lovely scenery.

One morning the hot water failed and Carol and her other half were around in double quick time to sort the problem out.We were very impressed. All facilities were clean and efficient.

Criccieth is charming too. We ate three time in the Lion Hotel and visited local shops and the post office.Everyone was so friendly.

The site is close to Portmadoc too.

North Wales is a real trek for us so we very much wished that we could stay on but we will most definitely be returning.

From the minute we arrived we were impressed with this site. The site manager (Carol) was lovely - very approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The site itself is situated 1.2 miles from Criccieth itself - a lovely evening stroll which is not to strenuous but is up hill on the way back. The noisiest thing around the campsite was the sheep and the birds! The shower and toilet facilities were kept extremely clean. Hot water constantly available. A small area for wash up which never got busy whilst we were there. Dog exercising area was fantastic being a large field adjacent to the campsite - a great secure space where they can run around and do the necessary. Lots of room for kids to run around and football goals set up for those fancying a kick around. Nothing else though for the kids. We will be definitely be returning to this site. Well worth a visit.

Arrived on a rainy Friday for a long weekend.

Initial views were the cleanliness of the site and how open it all seemed - not cramped.

Pitched tent with electric hook up. Grass quite boggy but that was expected because of the weather.

The toilet block is kept very clean, hand basins spotless. There was a shower in toilet block with separate shower rooms at the rear. Water was always lovely and hot - there's no hot then cold here! Electric sockets to plug in your hairdryer.

Washing up facilities are under cover with a separate enamel sink which came in handy to wash out the kiddies wet suits.

Tents are not pitched close to each other so you can have your privacy.

Altogther a well maintained site, friendly staff (only one).

Visit Criccieth castle, Criccieth beach (great for sea, sand and rock pools). They have a Lidl/Aldi and a camping shop 10 minutes away towards Porthmadog so no problems shopping.

Would I go back? Yes I would but for a week this time. Would recommend.

 Lovely quiet site.

Arrived Friday of bank holiday weekend for 3 nights and plenty of space. Pitched up nice and easy, there is plenty of room between tents.

The site is relatively exposed with the caravans getting the more sheltered area, however you are very close to the coast which means you will get wind etc!

Lovely scenery, can see the mountains and the see from the site and its surrounded by lovely green fields.

Facilities are basic but adequate - just perfect, nice washing up area. 3 toilets and 3 showers per sex which was plenty, I never queued or even saw anyone else when going for the shower. They are all newly done out.

Owner friendly and she gave advice about good pubs. The site is maybe a mile from criccieth which as a beach (allows dogs) and a number of nice restaurants which are all well priced. There is also 2 indian restaurants.

You are 15-20 mins drive from Porthmadog which has plenty of shops and restaurants.

Nearby Portmeirion has an excellent restaurant at Castell Deudraeth would recommend it.

Quiet on a night, never really heard anyone else. A lovely peaceful site.

Unfortunately we had rubbish weather and the field got a bit waterlogged where cars had driven (after 3 days of rain not surprising) but otherwise it was flat.

Great price - £10 for 2 of us and dog. Couldnt really rate for kids, there weren't many of them only a couple but this site is basically a field with facilities (just how I like it!)

Big dog exercise area in a field, grass short enough.

Would definitely recommend this site for a lovely quiet break.

This was our first tourer outing! so we were naturally a bit anxious, especially when I rang to book 6 nights & found out the site was being managed on behalf of the owner by a couple from the village nearby - but we needn't have worried. From the moment we arrived we were looked after. The caretakers drove out to meet us & guided us in from the village - we felt bad as we were a Very Late arrival & yet they couldn't have been more helpful.

The site was beautiful. Clean, tidy and with lovely flower tubs & white washed stones along the driveway. Good aspect too, surrounded by fields (sheep & cattle grazing) with no pylons in the vicinity. It's located on the hill behind Criccieth so a few mins drive to town (or bus from end of driveway), but you can see the sea from the site! Lovely big field with tents area at the 'sea' end (protected from prevailing sea winds by a hedge) and big playing field in the middle - plenty of room for children to play ball, fly kites, gliders etc without being a nuisance to other campers. Dogs were all on a leash and very well behaved (credit to their owners!) with a separate field the other side of the driveway for them anyway.

Toilet/Wash/Shower block was excellent - 3 showers each side (free & perfect temp!), plenty of washbasins, very clean & well kept - even nice soap there. In between is a washing up room also very clean & well kept.

Cost was £14 a night (inclusive of electric hook up), pitches were well managed & set out well.

All in all a superb little site which is a credit to the owner and to the caretakers, who were often present on site and very helpful.

Located just a mile from the charming town of Criccieth. A lovely quiet rural location with superb panoramic views of the mountains on one side and the Lleyn peninsular on the other. A fabulous base for many of the area's attractions.
Site looks in very good condition with the field immaculately cut, as was the dog walking field. Grass verges and hedges nicely trimmed- looks as if a lot of work had gone into achieving this immaculate look.
Toilet and shower block (although not ultra modern) were spotlessly clean. Mr Roberts now employs a site manager to assist him and she was very cheerful and efficient.
Prices extremely reasonable in comparison to other sites we have visited at £10 for a tent and £14 for caravan or motor home with hook up-good value these days!

Well I am going to try and not let the weather cloud my judgement of this campsite. We had a nightmare of a holiday, 14 days 2 of them dry.

Any way the site was very clean (rubbish wise lots of mud due to weather) the toilets were basic but clean, I think he had more than 30 units there when we arrived. The pitches were of average size and the owner was present and helpful even though he had many requests to pull people out of his field.

The open space for the kids to run around in would have been great but for the weather. Criccieth town was ok the butchers was great and we did manage to have a couple of bbq's and a campfire or two ( up of the ground of course and under a gazebo to keep the rain off). Final verdict we will go back to this campsite but will try and some better weather next time.

Lovely tidy and clean campsite. Left to own devices by owners.Toilets and showers were clean. No shop on site, but Criccieth villiage just down the road (5 mins in car or 20 if walking).

Dog exercise field a little disappointing. Nice size field but only small space along one edge had been mowed and the rest of field had 2-3ft length grass. Would have been better if all mowed or a path around the whole outside edge.

Super views though and easy to find.

Originally booked to go for Mayday bank holiday with two others paid deposit then kids came down with chickenpox so canceled re booked for end of month and Mr Roberts allowed us to transfer deposit.
Site is excellent it was busy but quiet. Showers and toilets clean and tidy. Fairly level we needed a couple of boards under the one side but our friends didn't. No shop but only a short drive to Cricceth or little further to Porthmadog.Plenty of space to pitch and park. Cost us £17 a night for caravan and awning two adults two kids.
No playground but did have goals for ball games away from pitches but so you could keep eye on kids. Separate field for dog exercise.
