Great site, well kept grass, pitched where we liked with 3 large tents and a gazebo. Great views of rolling countryside, lovely red sunset, bbq food and then a fire in the bbq well off the floor so no problems with singed grass. Farmer type owner just left us to it. There is is a great area for kids in middle, toilets a bit busy, as were the showers, but it was bank holiday. 15 minute stroll to Criccieth town. Will definatly use this place again.

We pre booked this site from Wednesday until Sunday (Bank Holiday Weekend) all electric hook ups were taken for the Sunday night, so we decided to leave on the Sunday and beat the bank holiday traffic!
The site is easy to find and is very spacious, at least it was for the first few days, by the weekend lots of families started to arrive for the half term break which made it a bit busier. The facilities are very clean and there are three showers for men and three for women. Mr Roberts is friendly and takes great pride in the site, his grass cutting is second to none. I have stayed on many sites in the Uk and this ranks as one of the best, its location is a 20 minute walk into Criccieth and there are great views of the mountains and sea!.
Mr Roberts charges per unit so we paid £17 for the Van plus a small Tent for the Dog with Electric Hook Up. A friend who joined us for the weekend stayed in a tent on his own and was charged £12 per night. We would definitely go back and in fact we have already recommended the site to friends.

We pre-booked this site as we were going at peak season. The site is situated walking distance of Criccieth (although I didn't do the walk as it took my husband about 25 minutes), but is surrounded by fields and lovely views. We had a Khyam Rigidome, a pup tent, all surrounded by windbreakers, two cars, two adults, two teenagers and two dogs! When we arrived Mr Roberts showed us to our pitch and told us he would look at the tents once we were set up and tell us the cost per night when he had done so (it was actually about three days before he came back to us!). We had to wait about 10 minutes for the previous occupants in a caravan to move on. We were on a pitch in the middle - we would have preferred one against the edge of the field but because we didn't know the layout of the field we didn't state this when we telephoned. The pitches were of an adequate size although the day before we were coming home a tent pitched up behind us and was only about 2 metres away, but I guess this was their fault as the information on the site told us to leave a certain distance between pitches. We had taken our two large dogs with us and when we enquired about the exercise area Mr Roberts told us we could use the field at the side of the house and we could let our dogs off lead there for a run as long as we cleaned up after them (which we always do). That was great as there was a gate on it and they had a wonderful time. The toilet blocks were adequate, not many showers for the amount of pitches but we tend to shower very early morning so we didn't have a problem. The only drawback to the facilities was that there was nowhere to rinse clothes through. We don't bother about a laundry room but it is nice to rinse things through if they get muddy. In summary, we would definitely go to this site again, maybe next time request a pitch around the outside of the field.

Two children and myself enjoyed our stay on this little site just outside Criccieth. You could choose your own pitch. We stayed ten nights, the site is basically a field surrounded by sheep, cows and mountains. Mr Roberts, the site owner was friendly and happy to advise you on any information about the area, he also provided an ice pack freezing service at 30p a pack. The kids where allowed to play on the campsite which was nice. The shower blocks were clean and there was constant hot water, the only downside was the toilets could have done with cleaning more often, although this would not put us off returning to this site again.

This is our second visit to this campsite and both visits have been great. A farmers field owned by Mr Roberts - friendly and helpful man. Walkable distance into criccieth, where you can find the best fish and chips in the whole of wales at castle fish and chips. I cant recommend the campsite enough to those who want a quiet relaxing break. The facilities are clean and well maintained with plenty of toilets, showers and washing up facilities. The site is quiet with just the noise of sheep in the next field. The tents and the caravans are kept on opposite sides of the field which works well - so small tents like ours dont get hidden into the hedge!. Also bargain price at £8 per night. We love coming to criccieth for short breaks - takes me back to my child hood - and we will definitely use this site time and time again!

We visited this site over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in 2006. We found the site to be very clean and well kept, although a little uneven and levellers were needed. The only downside, if I were to be critical, would be the fact that the toilet blocks were not heated, although they were clean. There were also only 3 showers per sex, although we didn't find this to be a problem and didn't have to wait for one. There are some lovely views of the surrounding area and it is less than 1 mile to the centre of Criccieth, well within walking distance. This site is ideally placed for Porthmadog, Harlech and Portmerion. A nice clean site 7/10 we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We have visited this site many times over the last few months mainly for weekends and then for a week in August. Very clean site. Though facilities were only cleaned once in that week don't let that put you off! as the toilet and shower facilities are well kept eg no mildew in the showers etc. Though the site is small and there are no extras like a shop, bar etc there is peace quiet (except for the cows and sheep)and plenty of visibility to let the kids run free. If you want a laid back relaxing time away from it all with suberb views of sea and Snowdonia this is the site for you!S ee you there!

Various I used to visit this site as a little girl..long time ago. Its just a field on a farm, run by Mr Roberts. The toilet and shower block is clean and you can see the sea from your caravan. There are no shops, no childrens playground, no pub.... Just Sheep!!!.... great, and about a mile from Criccieth. We keep going back.
