Lovely site, very peaceful. Spotlessly clean. Washing machine and dryer very useful this week! Not far from some spectacular scenery in West Wales - breathtaking. Plenty of water and electricity points. My only negative comment would be the showers. Whilst they are absolutely the cleanest we've used, I really don't like the push button showers and on a short timer too. Although there was always hot water so can't complain about that.
Wifi is available in some parts of the site. Excellent recycling facilities. The nearest shop is at the top of the lane which is a bit far to walk for just a pint of milk or a loaf of bread.
However, if you're out and about by car there's a Tesco and Lidl within 5 minutes drive near Cardigan and lots of other local produce available. Will definitely be going there again.

We visited this site for a week with our 2 year old daughter. We had a non ehu pitch in a small field at the bottom of the site. THere is space to 5 tents and we mostly shared with one other family.
The site is at the bottom of a windy narrow lane-glad we weren't towing! There are about 30 well sized pitches wih some all weather pitches. Water easily accessible from plenty of taps around field.
The playgrounds are great with a toddler friendly one with lots of plastic equipment and houses to explore and a more adventurous climbing frame and slide etc for the older children.
The facilities are superb-the showers are shared with the gym on site and are cleaned regularly. They also smell great due to the steam room! There is a useful family room which we made good use of. These are probably the best showers we have experienced on a campsite. The washing machine and tumble dryer were helpful as we visited in cool wet conditions so it was nice to warm the towels before a shower and dry them again after!
The local beach is a short drive away and is a national trust beach. It is gorgeous and sandy and sheltered and safe for young children. We spent lots of time here-even in the rain! We also saw dolphins in the bay splashing around.
The walk down to the beach is not buggy friendly so take a carrier if you have small children. Cafe at top is great for coffee and Icecream. Toilets are clean too.
We took the bikes and went on a great cycle around the area and for some walks. There were a variety of boat trips and a great one to get really close to feeding dolphins for adults and children over 8.
There is a games room to dry off and hide if its really raining aNd you can pay for a pass to use the pool on site.
A peaceful site with superb facilities. Would recommend and possibly return. So many other places to visit though and this one is quite local for us!

Recently returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Brongwyn. We are a family of 4 with 2 small children and the site suited us perfectly. We were greeted by lovely owners showed to our pitch and pointed out where all the facilities were. It is a lovely small peaceful site that is spotlessly clean at all times and has a fantastic park for children of all ages, plus the bonus of goal posts for the kids to have a kick about with a football. They are good size pitches and plenty big enough for are large 8x8mtr tent with its own electrics and water point. It is a tight bendy round to get to the site which never bothered us but may be difficult for very large caravans.
It has an on site spa which we never used but looked lovely. The only tiny moan I would have is the showers have a push button and after 10 secs goes off and then have to restart. Having said that you not in them for long so not a problem and they always spotlessly clean and a great family shower room you can use which is great if you have a young family.
Will definitely return again for a peaceful away from it all break and to visit fantastic mwnt beach.

Lovely site, owners more than helpful. Pitch size was generous and level group. Facilities superb and continuously clean with plenty of hot water. Wash Machine - £2 and £1 got you an hour in the tumble. Grounds well looked after and playarea safe for young ones. Mwnt beach just down the road, £3 to park at the top of the hill for the whole day, lovely beach, with coastal walks and frequent sitings of the dolphins. Tesco about 11 mins down the road, and a chippy another 2 mins away from that. Would definitely stay again.

We've just stayed at Brongwyn for 5 nights in a tent with electric hookup, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have a large tent, and the pitch was very spacious indeed, so no problems squeezing in. The site itself is lovely, nice and enclosed by hedges and trees so it's very sheltered. We had water next to the electric hookup as well, so no need to trek to refill. Our pitch was right next to the entrance to the nature walk, which is very picturesque, however lots of nettles further in so make sure you wear trousers! It's a lovely secluded spot next to the pond for a picnic though.
The facilities are good - there are 5 showers - 4 individual and one in the disabled toilet. There are curtains separating the shower from the changing area, and hooks for towels / clothes and also a fold up seat, so nothing gets wet. My only quibble is that the shower is very weak, and cuts out after a very short time. There are 3 toilets in the ladies - however I never had to wait, and they were kept very clean and well supplied. There's also a mirror with shelf and 2 electric points next to it - perfect for hairdryer and straighteners!
The laundry room has washers and dryers, and a freezer for ice blocks - not used by many as the site is more caravans than tents, so plenty of space.
Leisure-wise the site is great. There are a range of toddler size slides, climbing apparatus, play houses etc, but also a big wooden play area for older children which my two (4 and 7) loved, and the older children on site also loved. I think it's new, we struggled to get the children off it!
The pool is also very good. It does cost, but the positive aspect to that is that it's much quieter - we had the pool to ourselves several times. We took advantage of the 3 days for 2.
The site owners are also very friendly, welcoming and helpful - all in all we had a lovely time and I would highly recommend the site for anyone!
Off site I'd also recommend the Chocolate Farm, Iron Age Fort, Steam Railway, and do not miss Llangranog beach - especially the cafe there!

We had a fantastic 4-night break at Brongwyn and we loved the beaches of Cardigan Bay.
The site is beautiful, peaceful and compact, and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a games room with pool table and table football and outdoor play equipment for small children. There are two sinks for washing up and coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers.
The toilet block was always clean and we never had to wait, despite the site being very busy. The showers are free but they leave quite a lot to be desired as the water cuts out after 14 seconds, every time, requiring another press of the button. Temperature was fine but pressure wasn't great and, as others have said, shoes tend to get a bit wet.
We intended to make full use of the spa facilities but we were very lucky with the weather and there is lots to explore in the local area! However, we paid to use it on our last day and we weren't disappointed. Its not cheap (£7 for a morning or afternoon, or £10 for the day, with multiple day discounts available) but its worth it, especially on a rainy day! The gym is well-equipped with cardio and resistance machines, the pool is a reasonable size for lengths and the sauna and steam room are very relaxing!
In terms of things to do and see our highlights were:
* Mwnt beach at sunset with beautiful views from the top of the hill.
* The coastal walk between Penbryn and Llangrannog. Highly recommended for the spectacular views of the
bay, although it seems further than the stated two miles and includes a lot of steps!
* Great beachside cafe at Llangrannog with a wide selection of ice-cream flavours - including Victoria Sponge & Lemon Meringue Pie
* Gardd y Nos restuarant near Aberporth: amazing food, fantastic service, great atmosphere. Well worth a visit!
We had a great holiday and would recommend Brongwyn for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle.

Travelled to west Wales for a mid week break, did not book in advance. Found site in a 2000/2001 guide and was amazed to find that prices had not significantly risen from prices quoted in our out of date guide. £11 a night for tent and two people seemed too good to be true, but it wasn't!
Delightful Site and amazing value for money!
We did not use Pool or spa facilities as to much to do exploring local Area. Recommend MWNT on a hot sunny evening, Stunning views.
New Quay was a place to chill. Dolphin spotting from the harbour.
If you explore,(Old Fishguard away from the ferry port), it has delightful walks around the old harbour and bay.
We were given great advice on areas to visit round about the area by the owners. My wife got back to her roots searching out standing stones.
The site showers and loos were immaculate, and as it was Mid-week 'lowish' season not overworked. I would highly recommend this site and can see why it can get busy at high season.

An absolutely beautifully landscaped and superbly maintained site. Just as good as any Club site, but on a much smaller scale. I’m more that happy to add my agreement to the previous complimentary reviews.
Approach is along a narrow lane, no problem as there are ample passing places. Watch out for a very tight hairpin bend just inside the site; again no real problem as long as you get set up right for it.
The wc / shower (free) facilities are excellent. However, the shower cubicles are just a little small. I agree with jimbojohn55’s suggestion below that they could do with curtain to stop your clothes / shoes from getting wet.
There is also the added attraction of the ‘Aqua Marina Country Club’ which features very modern indoor swimming pool / sauna / steam room / gym. (Not cheap, but it is very good) A range of beauty treatments are also available. From the outside, the holiday cottages looked very nice indeed.
No local shops, get everything in Cardigan. As previously stated, Tesco’s is the nearest.
To sum up: if you wanted a site to persuade a slightly reluctant partner of the pleasures of caravanning / camping, Brongwyn would really hit the spot!

Just had to say we have spent the last two years June Holidays at this amazing piece of heaven and have already booked for this year. Cant wait to get back there for the peace and quiet, early nights and deep restful sleep. If that's what you want then you will not be displeased.
Its in a great location for exploring this part of Wales by any means of transport. The local beach is very good and there are a good few close by both large and small in all lots to see.

Great site only 20 pitches - plenty of space for even the largest tent - they have upgraded their hardstanding after previous years reviews of waterlog issues- so each pitch has hardstanding for your car and in turn this helps prevent waterlogging of the grass - we were at the bottom of the site (slight slope on the field ) but this was only about 5 degree's so not a problem - anyway the rain came and the rain stayed and we were still ok with the pitch -
Toilets 2 in the blokes three in the ladies and one disabled - showers total four - but I did not find this an issue no queues even though the site was full. If I'm honest they do need shower curtains as the fixed heads tend to wet the whole floor so your shoes can get a little damp - the owners take note of your comments so I expect that they will have them by 2010 season
Facilities were spotless by the way kept clean every hour by the owners who were very helpful and pleasant. The area has some fantastic hidden beaches - Mwnt - 2miles from site sheltered cove NT shop and toilets - and ancient chapel plus views into cardigan bay for the dolphin spotters - also try other small bays up the coast head north past the army surplus store on the main road and then turn left a bit further on for another fantastic small beach with caves and great food in the pub
If you like your history the area has loads of ancient monuments
Local supermarket - tesco - less than 2 miles away 24 Hrs - great indian takeaway by the old stone bridge across the river in Cardigan
Highlight was visit to NT site 35 miles away 'Gold Mine' with guided tours - great
