Just returned a stay at Brongwyn. 2 adults and dog.
Entry to the site is down a singe track lane very tight bends long vans take care.
Owners were very helpful and polite and you could tell they are very proud of the site.
We had a hard standing which given the rain I was grateful of, the grass felt a bit spongy after a few days. Good size pitches hookup and water nearby and the best looking elsan point I've seen.
Toilet block is modern and very clean, wash up room also housed washing m/c and dryer (£1) swimming pool clean, warm also sauna and steam room, outside is the children play area good for 8yrs and under older kids may get a bit bored.
Nearby beach (10 mins by car )good sandy beach down steps. Aberporth beach is larger with sand and a few rock pools, access is easier if walking is a problem.
Nearest store is Tesco / Aldi at Cardigan ( 15 Min by car ) saw dolphins from the beach at New Quay also boat trips (£10 per hour)
Overall very pleased with site and the area and would return

Just returned from a fantastic week spent at this site.
Idyllic setting on very peaceful.
The facilities are splendidly clean and new.
No charge for showers.
Unfortunately did not get to use the Bistro or the swimming pool as the week was very hot and had 2 dogs to look after. They loved laying beside the tent people watching.
Well worth every penny spent on our stay and will definitely return at some time.

A good looking little site though felt a bit out of place in a 2 man tent and not a jazzy van! Was excited by the look of the showers yet a little disappointed when I used them as you have to keep pressing the button every 2 seconds for the water. Was also excited by the prospect of the spa yet after looking at the size of the pool didn't feel that £7 per person was worth it. Owner was a lovely woman though and had lots of info on walks etc in the area in the form of a folder which she lent us which was great. I would stay here again if only for its good looks and friendly helpful owner!

Excellent site and very clean facilities.
Pitches became very soft underfoot but considering the amount of rain we had this was understandable.
Made full use of the facilities (Gym, Pool, Sauna) some may consider a liitle pricey, but hey, they've a business to run.
Bistro food was excellent
Only negative is that no local shop within reasonable walking distance (but there was a Tesco just 5 mins up the road.)
Have already recommended site to friends and would return (hoping for better weather)

We stayed for a few days at the beginning of August. Motorhome drivers beware narrow approach to site, would advise to book hard standing as most of the pitches are grass. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean toilets and showers, queues for showers at peak times. Bistro closes at 9pm so remember to eat early! Close to a picturesque beach and close to Cardigan and shops. Thought Spa prices were rather expensive for the use of the pool. Would recommend to friends, great for dog owners as there are some good walks.

We have had two visits to the site this year.
June was fantastic weather, so this belied the problems we were to have coming back in august.
We booked for two weeks and the weather was very wet .Facilities:- there is a new toilet and shower block with 3 showers and a disabled toilet / showers, facilities were clean even though they had there work cut out with the wet grass etc! two washing machines and two overworked dryers were also there and a washing up facility for the campers, all clean and tidy so I could see. There are swimming facilities a little pricey at £7.00 a morning or afternoon. There are also a few walks for the dogs if the weather allows around the site. The surrounding area mwnt / newquay etc first class also. All pitches are a pretty good size also.
This is a busy site if you are a after a quiet CL type site then leave it alone
Now the problems, any one there in august will testify! The site got sodden and did not dry out like most sites. We were on pitch 5 a nice big pitch but it was soaked! It came over my boots walking on it and there were some bull rushes growing in the grass. We left 6 days early due to this with no recompense. The site needs drainage or all hardstandings. There are about 20 pitches and about only 5 hardstanding. There were some lovely people there when we stayed and all were trying to persevere but the site held water like a sponge and did not drain off. If you can get a hardstanding get it! When some of the tents were taken down the ground was just thick mud rendering it useless for weeks, one lady said it was like lying on a water bed!
My advice is book for a short stay if its ok ask to stop longer even if you move pitch they should accommodate you
Also there are four or five ponds on site that one lady said isn't in the brochure so be careful if you have young children that run around.

We had a week at this site, toilets and showers were spotless. Site is very quiet and the owners are also on hand if you have any problems.
The owners are two lovely people and very helpful.
We used the pool, steam room and sauna, all excellent, you have to pay extra, but it is well worth it.
The grounds around the site are very peaceful with some superb walks.
Pitches are massive, taps are very close to all the pitches.
Site is not very big which adds to the ambience.
I would reccomend this site to anybody who wants peace and queit with very clean facilities.
One more thing there is a small games room, swings and slides for the little ones along with a small football pitch and basketball nets all away from the camping area in case the kids have too much fun!

We chose this site due to location, as we were aiming to visit Tenby and the Elan Valley during our 5 day stay.
The site was spacious and quiet, ideal if you want to get away from it all. At the time we visited there wasn't a toilet block so to speak - we had to walk up a pathway that resembled a public footpath and go into what felt like the back door of someone's private house and use one of two unisex showers, washing up sinks and toilets.
Showers were actually spacious, clean and always hot so not a major complaint despite the unusual set up. I note from visiting the website that this appears to have changed since our visit.
We were rather disappointed at how little Cardigan has to offer in the way of shopping or eating out and certainly wouldn't holiday in this area again.

Very pleasant site on the whole. However, a large pile of grass to one side of the campsite was being burnt, which created a rather acrid smoke, which was unpleasant and with many children running around was a potential hazard.
The toilet/washing facilities were somewhat basic, and limited in number. I gave up queueing for a shower on several occasions during the w/e we stayed. There is only one washing up sink too, which created queues at mealtimes - and the campsite wasn't even half-full!
The swimming pool/leisure facility was rather expensive and it cost £15 for myself and my two young boys to go swimming. The changing areas were tiny, and got very crowded as the weather turned wet and cold, and therefore everyone went swimming.
On the upside, it is visually a lovely, green and leafy site, with plenty to do in the area. Cardigan itself is a nice little town, if somewhat sleepy. Terrific castles can be found in Pembroke and Carew.
Overall, the site could do with a few more showers/sinks though, which would definitely make your stay more comfortable. It seemed to be geared up more for caravans and campers rather than tents.
Would I stay there again? Maybe out of season, as during school holidays there would be too many queues.

Really nice site. Quiet and peaceful with good facilities. Water taps all over the place. Our pitch was average size, nicely sheltered by hedging to the rear (so no varmints crossing our pitch. We would have struggled with our big tent but plenty of space for our Venture 500 plus windbreaks, car and bikes all over the place! There were bigger pitches available so best let them know if you have a larger tent. Facilities ( a short walk from the main field) were clean and perfectly OK but they were a little stretched at busy times.
However, as the cost of the site was very reasonable we took out membership of the on-site Health Spa (small pool, gym, sauna and steam room - treatments available) which gave us access to very nice showers. The spa was a real bonus and both ourselves and our kids loved it. Although small, it was never crowded.
There was a main camping field and various other small areas for camping around the site which were used at busier times for specific units. A pleasant woodland walk was available - nice for exercising the dog. The whole site was nicely landscaped and there was a lovely, shaded wooded section with a large pond (fenced off from the main site but very small children should not be allowed to wander nearby) which was a peaceful haven and a terrific place to chill out, or sit and read.
Near the shower block, there were rotary dryers, a small play area, a badminton/volleyball court and space for ball games.
Mwynt beach is nearby (short drive) and provides a stunning setting with great sunsets. We saw dolphins from the beach as well as seals. Cardigan has a very handy supermarket to provide all your needs.
With the only downside being the limited washing/loo facilities (bear in mind that this is a small site so they should be fine outside of peak times) we have no hesitation in highly recommending this lovely site.
